Jewelers estimate Paris Hilton's engagement ring cost $3 million

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC(LOS ANGELES) — Paris Hilton is engaged and, recently, showed off a behind-the-scenes video of how her gorgeous one-of-a-kind engagement ring was designed.

Paris’ new bling was crafted by acclaimed French jeweler Jean Dousset and the video gave fans a closer look at the massive rock and all the little details expertly carved into the ring.

While not much is known about the ring itself, Hollywood Life spoke with Mike Fried, who is the CEO of Diamond Pro, to appraise the ring.  Fried estimates that the ring came with a shocking price tag.

“I would estimate the value to be close to $3 million,” he said, noting that the diamond itself could be “10-15” karats.

The “Stars Are Blind” singer intends to spill all the details about her sparkler on her podcast This Is Paris, which debuts February 22.

Hilton is engaged to Carter Reum.  A wedding date has not been set.

“One’s on the Way”: Loretta Lynn invites Margo Price for a duet remake of her 1971 classic

No Comments Country Music News

Legacy RecordingsLoretta Lynn invited Margo Price to join her for a new duet rendition of Loretta’s classic 1971 single, “One’s on the Way.”

The new version of the song is from Loretta’s upcoming Still Woman Enough album, a career retrospective featuring fellow female country greats like Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood and Tanya Tucker.

Loretta also shared a behind-the-scenes video documenting the process of recording the duet, filmed at the legendary Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee. In it, Margo reflects on Loretta’s legacy and influence on her own career.

“‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ and those story songs, they gave me the blueprint as a country artist and just as a writer in general,” Margo says. “Loretta said, ‘You either have to be first, great or different.’ She was all three.”

“One’s on the Way” was penned by Shel Silverstein, and is the title track of Loretta’s 1971 album. It was one of several groundbreaking releases from Loretta; it contrasts the glamorous life of celebrities with the tedious life of a woman who feels trapped by her roles as a housewife and mother.  That’s why Margo wanted to duet with her hero on this particular song.

“It’s an important song. It was an important song at the time, and it’s still an important song,” Margo explains. “It was legendary.”

Loretta has gone on to become a major influence for a whole new generation of country stars, Margo included. In fact, when Margo welcomed a daughter in 2019, she named her Ramona Lynn: Her middle name is a tribute to Margo’s musical idol.

Teyonah Parris says 'WandaVision' is "setting up many things" in the MCU and "you will not be disappointed"

No Comments Entertainment News

Photo Courtesy of Marvel Studios(NEW YORK) — Teyonah Parris says the wild, unpredictable ride that fans are currently on with Disney+’s WandaVision is far from over.

After the Halloween-themed episode — which ended in Wanda expanding the boundary of Westview — Parris, who plays S.W.O.R.D. Captain Monica Rambeau, says Wanda’s explosive reaction to Vision being hurt is just the tip of the iceberg.

“I think that, yes, we have so much more to share with you all,” Parris tells ABC Audio. “I think that you will not be disappointed.”

“The creative team has done just such a wonderful job of laying everything out and teasing it out in just these very epic moments,” she continues. “Even like the very last episode where Wanda expands the hex. I was in the living room like, ‘Oh my gosh, what is she doing? She’s not playing!'”

Parris promises that there will be “more moments like that to come.”

“And I do think you guys will be very satisfied with the outcome,” she teases.

Not to ignore the elephant in the room, Parris also confirms that WandaVision is “setting up many things” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“One of which we already know and was announced that Monica will be moving on to Captain Marvel 2 to join Carol Danvers — Captain Marvel, and Kamala Khan — Ms. Marvel,” she says. “So there’s definitely some setup happening there.”

New episodes of WandaVision launch Fridays on Disney+.

Why Cameron Diaz "couldn't imagine" a return to acting

No Comments Entertainment News

Tibrina Hobson/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Cameron Diaz hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2014’s Annie, and it could be quite a while before we see her in another one — if ever.

“I’m never going to say never about anything in life.  I’m just not that person,” the 48-year-old actress told Bruce Bozzi Wednesday on his SiriusXM show Quarantined with Bruce.

“So will I ever make a movie again?  I’m not looking to.  But will I?  I don’t know. I have no idea,” she continued.

Diaz, who welcomed a baby girl, Raddix Madden, with partner Benji Madden over a year ago, says her daughter was a major factor in her decision to put her acting career on hold.

“I couldn’t imagine, being a mom now, where I’m at as a mother with my child at her first year, to have to be on a movie set that takes 14 hours, 16 hours of my day away from my child.  I just couldn’t,” she explained.

Added Diaz, “I wouldn’t have been the mom that I am now had I chosen to do that at any other time in my life.”

The Charlie’s Angel star says that aside from her work with her Avaline wine brand, she’s focused on “being a wife and a mother, which has been the most…rewarding.”
