Here's your one chance, Fancy: Reba reveals if she's ever encountered "mystery woman" Bobbie Gentry

• No Comments • Country Music News

ABC/Image Group LA; Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty ImagesThe legend behind classics like “Ode to Billie Joe” and “Fancy” is so famously reclusive, the BBC even produced a documentary called Whatever Happened to Bobbie Gentry? several years ago.

In fact, she takes her privacy so seriously, even Reba McEntire’s never encountered her, despite taking her tale of a woman “born just plain white trash” to new levels of fame.

“I’ve never met her, I’ve never talked to her,” Reba reveals. “I’ve talked to so many people who have gotten to work with her and know her and do stay in communication with her.”

She continues: “I would say, ‘Hey, would you tell her that I’d really like to meet her sometime or talk to her or email or text or smoke signals or anything? I don’t care. I’d just really like to communicate with her.'”

Still, Reba’s requests have gone unanswered.

“I’d love to know, where did she get the idea of ‘Fancy’ and what was the thinking behind it?” Reba explains. “When she released it, then I fell in love with ‘Ode to Billie Joe’ and the albums, her duet album with Glen Campbell. I’m just a huge fan.”

“I think she’s a genius,” Reba adds. “Great songwriter, beautiful woman, great singer…  She’s a mystery woman.”

While she admires Gentry’s ability to step out of the spotlight, it’s not something Reba could ever do.

“I’m a people person and I like to do what I do,” she reflects. “Dolly and I talked about it several times. I said, ‘Dolly, are you gonna retire?'”

“She said, ‘And do what? I’ve got the best job in the world. What would I do?'” Reba recalls. “… I’m with her a hundred percent.”

The 30th Anniversary Edition of Reba’s Rumor Has It album — featuring three different versions of “Fancy” — comes out Friday.

Chrissy Teigen reveals how "pizzagate insanity" affected her mental health

• No Comments • Entertainment News

Michael Buckner/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Chrissy Teigen is opening up about the “deep dark” time in her life.

In an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, the 34-year-old Cravings author got candid about her recent mental health struggles, which largely stemmed from accusations that she and husband, John Legend were linked to Pizzagate — a conspiracy theory that alleges many high-profile individuals are involved in sex-trafficking.

Alongside a photo from her Marie Claire cover shoot she briefly mentioned that the photos were taken after having surgery to remove her breast implants — a surgery which, at the time, she didn’t know she was pregnant for — before addressing the effect of the unsubstantiated allegations.

Teigen revealed, “I was struggling hard with some deep dark internet/real life days. I have lived a life begging for people to like me and think I’m cool and funny and their friend, and bam, it felt like everyone f***ing hated me.”

“I couldn’t do anything right, say anything right. I couldn’t leave cute comments on my friend’s pages knowing they’d be flooded with pizzagate insanity,” she continued. “And I know. It’s all so stupid. There is so much worse in the world, but man, aside from the world sucking, my little world sucked too.”

“Making people happy is my entire life. There is nothing else I wanna do. I guess I’ve come to terms with the fact not everyone is going to like me, and even though I still VERY MUCH DO NOT LIKE THAT, i can live with it,” she confessed.

Teigen closed the post by thanking those involved with helping her land the cover before predicting that the comments section was “bout to be A MESS.”

Teigen and Legend are currently expecting their third child together. They are already parents to Luna, 4, and Miles, 2.

11-year-old donates over 22,000 diapers to single moms through lemonade stand

(HAMPTON, Virginia) — Eleven-year-old Cartier Carey spent his summer at his lemonade stand in Hampton, Virginia raising money to buy diapers, wipes and other supplies for parents who needed help during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cartier told ABC News that he noticed a shortage of diapers in stores during the pandemic and wanted to help.

“There was no diapers at all and I was like, ‘Oh, people are having babies so I should help [them] afford diapers,’” said Cartier.

He started a lemonade stand and made about $4,500 in the first month. His stand also served as a diaper drive where people could donate diapers.

On his first day back to virtual school, Cartier is still hard at work loading up a truck with more than 22,000 donated diapers.

In a heartwarming moment captured on video and shared by his own mother, one mother was moved to tears by Cartier’s work, saying that it reminded her of a time when she was in need.

“You are helping so many people. You have no idea. You see this truck? I didn’t always have this truck. I lived in a church home. And coming from where I came from and now here, it’s because of people like you. People gave me diapers, you know?” said the mother. “You’re an amazing young man and you can go far.”

Cartier said he wouldn’t forget that vulnerable moment and that it motivated him to keep working.

“It was heart-touching. I [almost] cried myself when she gave me a hug and started crying,” said Cartier. “After that, that made me just want to keep doing it.”

Although he’s back in school, Cartier told “World News Tonight” that he will continue his mission. Cartier and his mother started a non-profit organization called “Kids 4 Change” to help get other kids involved in the initiative. Cartier said that his inspiration is Kobe Bryant because the late basketball player inspired him to be great and work hard.

“Others can make a difference just like I’m doing right now,” he said. “They can save lives and be heroes. They’re never too young.”
