No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Mike Rosenthal(LOS ANGELES) — Grey’s Anatomy star Camilla Luddington and her husband Matthew Alan have a new addition to the family — a baby boy.

On Tuesday, alongside a photo of the 36-year-old actress cuddling her newborn, she shared, “After what felt like a year long third trimester… it finally happened!! Matt and I are SOOO happy to announce the birth of our sweet baby BOY Lucas, otherwise known as my little lion ?? (shoutout to Leo’s!).”

Lucas is the second child that Luddington and Alan share. They already have a 3-year-old daughter together named Hayden.

Despite having gone through the child birthing process already, though, Luddington admitted to People that this go around was “much more stressful” due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I absolutely had more daily anxiety,” she explained. “Not only did I have concerns over contracting COVID and what that could potentially mean for my pregnancy, I was also worried about things like my husband not being able to be present with me during the birth.”

At the end of the day though, the couple is just happen to finally meet their son.

“Our bubble feels complete now that he’s here,” Luddington said.

'Ozark' editor Cindy Mollo talks Emmy nomination and season three success

No Comments Entertainment News

Courtesy of Netflix(LOS ANGELES) — The Jason Bateman/Laura Linney Netflix drama Ozark is up for a bunch of Emmys this year, including a nomination for drama editing for Cindy Mollo. It’s no surprise considering Ozark has always been critically acclaimed, but season three really seemed to capture people’s attention this year, and Mollo tells ABC Audio that might have something to do with it premiering at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“If you remember that time in March, like right before we premiered, everyone was talking about Tiger King. And when our show dropped, I had friends saying I don’t usually watch something the second that it’s on Netflix, but we drove right into Ozark and it’s amazing,” she recalls. “And so it seems ridiculous to say five months ago, but it was a different time even within the pandemic.”

Another thing the pandemic will affect is how the Emmys ceremony will proceed this year, which has Mollo a bit unsure of how to prepare.

“We’re all just joking, saying, well, I don’t need a dress for the occasion. I just need a nice blouse. Maybe they’ll have us pre-record speeches in case we win. I don’t know what’s gonna happen,” she admits.

This year’s nomination is Mollo’s second time being nominated for Ozark and her fifth nomination overall – previously nominated for Mad Men and the HBO Deadwood movie — but she hasn’t won yet. Nonetheless, she’s “proud” of Ozark and says that it is one of those rare jobs.

“You know, you only get a great experience like this, I say about every 10 years. Where you love the material, you love the people you work with, you’re proud of the work and people see it and recognize it,” she explains. “Those things don’t always happen.”

Kevin Hart reveals COVID-19 diagnosis, and why he kept it quiet

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Randy Holmes(LOS ANGELES) — Turns out Kevin Hart is yet another celeb who tested positive for COVID-19, early in the pandemic — but he’s only now shared the news.

Page Six reports the comedian and actor shared his diagnosis during a stand-up performance at Dave Chappelle’s An Intimate Socially Distanced Affair outdoor comedy show in Ohio over the weekend.

“The problem is that I had it around the same time as Tom Hanks, and I couldn’t say anything because he’s more famous than I am,” Kevin joked.

A source told Page Six that Chappelle spent $100,000 on rapid testing at his shows this summer for Hart and other performers.  At the moment, it is unknown exactly what symptoms Kevin experienced, if any at all.

But Kevin really got a laugh out of a screenshot of a Facebook post by NBC News. It featured a story about Olympian Usain Bolt, who recently tested COVID-19 positive — yet the featured picture was of Kevin.

“No comment,” Kevin wrote on Instagram. “I must of gotten really fast & tall overnight. I am also no longer doing comedy due to my Olympic training schedule. P.S this is disrespectful on so many levels…All you can do is laugh. Maybe the COVID-19 shrunk his legs and torso.”

Kevin is also awaiting the arrival of his second child with his wife, Eniko. The couple announced their pregnancy earlier this year and recently celebrated with a Bobo-chic drive-thru baby shower. The couple welcomed their first child, Kenzo, in 2017.  Kevin also has two children from his first marriage.

No Comments Entertainment News

Disney+(LOS ANGELES) — For fans who can’t get enough of composer Ludwig Göransson’s haunting score for the Disney+ hit The Mandalorian, help is on the way in the form of a deluxe vinyl box set from Mondo.

Each of the eight 180-gram LPs represents the music in each of the eight episodes of the first season of the Star Wars-inspired series, which was recently nominated for 15 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Music Composition for a Series.

The $200 limited edition set also includes exclusive artwork from Paul Mann, with the LPs housed inside a slipcase adorned with the Mando’s instantly recognizable mudhorn signet — the skull of a giant rhino-like creature the bounty hunter tangled with in the show.

Pre-orders for the box set — limited to just 3,500 units worldwide — go live this Wednesday at 1 p.m. Eastern time; the box will ship sometime in November.

Göransson, who won a Grammy and an Oscar for his score for Black Panther, is also featured in a segment of the Disney+ Gallery special on the making of Jon Favreau’s groundbreaking series. He’s now working on the score to The Mandalorian‘s second season, which should debut in October on Disney+.

What's up, cool cats and kittens? Kate McKinnon's series as Joe Exotic nemesis Carole Baskin gets green light

No Comments Entertainment News

Netflix(LOS ANGELES) — Saturday Night Live cast member Kate McKinnon will play Tiger King nemesis Carole Baskin in a new series, which will air across related platforms NBC, USA Network and NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock.

The Hollywood Reporter notes the project will be an eight-episode limited drama series, for which a premiere date has not been set.

As any fan of Netflix’s early quarantine hit Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness could tell you, Baskin was the arch enemy of the docudrama’s Joe Exotic, a competing big cat sanctuary owner.

Baskin repeatedly tried to shut down Exotic’s operation, citing animal abuse, something he denied. He’s now serving 22 years in prison for allegedly plotting to murder Baskin.

In 2002, Baskin had her multi-millionaire husband declared dead after he disappeared without a trace. A big part of the documentary concerns the allegations that she killed him and fed him to the tigers at her animal sanctuary, an allegation she’s denied.

The McKinnon project will be based on the Wondery podcast Tiger King, which detailed the lives of Exotic, Baskin and the other colorful cast of characters in their orbits.

This series is separate from another in-development project starring Oscar-winner Nicolas Cage as Joe Exotic.
