'The Conners' deal with pandemic lockdown in season three trailer

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC(NEW YORK) — The Conners has seldom been a show to shy away from problems we regular folks face, and the season three trailer for the hit ABC sitcom shows it: just like us, the blue-collar tribe’s dealing with the pandemic.

ET’s got the exclusive trailer, which shows the already seriously dysfunctional family getting on one another’s nerves even more than usual.

“If it’s death, I’m kissing him right on the mouth,” John Goodman’s Dan Conner says when the doorbell rings.

There’s even a shout-out to former Roseanne co-star George Clooney.  After a flashback that shows Laurie Metcalf’s Jackie bowling, and flirting, with Clooney’s character, present-day Jackie declares, “Man, I shoulda hit that ’til I broke it.”

The trailer ends with the entire Conner extended family sprawled in the den, with Dan doing his best to buck everyone up.

“We’re Conners,” he proclaims.  “And we’re gonna get through this the way we always do.  We’re gonna watch TV, drink beer, and we’re gonna blame all our troubles on the government.”

Season three of The Conners premieres Wednesday, October 21 at 9:00 ET/8:00 CT on ABC.

'Jurassic World: Dominion' halts production due to COVID-19 positive test

“Jurassic World” Dominion” director Colin Trevorrow with stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt; Kevin Winter/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — At this rate, they should rename the movie Jurassic World: Procrastination.  Once again, production on the next installment in the dinosaur franchise has been halted due to a positive COVID-19 test.

“Woke up to the news we had a few positive Coronavirus tests on Jurassic World: Dominion,” director Colin Trevorrow tweeted.  “All tested negative shortly after, but due to our safety protocols we’re going to pause for two weeks. Back soon.”  The tweet was accompanied by a cute photo of a dinosaur wearing a face mask.

Production on Jurassic World: Dominion was already temporarily halted at least once earlier this year, when the pandemic lockdowns first began.  Looks like they’ll have plenty of time to complete production, though — just yesterday, the movie’s release date was delayed to June 10, 2022.  That’s a full year later then initial summer 2021 planned release

Jurassic World: Dominion is only the latest film to see a pandemic-delayed release.  Potential blockbusters F9, The Batman, the James Bond flick No Time to Die, and The Matrix 4 have recently been bumped as well — some of them for more than the first time.

Tamron Hall says she hopes her son is "so proud" of the work she does on 'The Tamron Hall Show'

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC(NEW YORK) — Tamron Hall’s ability to connect with her audience is just one of the reasons why her Emmy-Award winning daytime talk show, The Tamron Hall Show, became an early ratings success with its second season return.

Hall came back with a bang, landing exclusive interviews with former Democratic rising star Andrew Gillum, former Vanderpump Rules cast member Stassi Schroeder, and NeNe Leakes. Yet, even with a long list of accomplishments, Hall tells ABC Audio that it’s her son Moses, who helps to keep her motivated on sharing meaningful stories.

“I hope he’s able to look at the work that I do and say, ‘I’m so proud of my mom,'” she says. “‘This is what my mom did and this is what my mom learned. And my mom learned this from somebody who’s on the show and she told me that story.'”

“And hopefully, he can contribute something positive to the world,” Hall continues. “Because ultimately, that’s what I want to do at our show. We have tough conversations. We have difficult conversations, but we laugh together. We cry together.”

Still, Hall admits that it’s not easy being a mom that has it all together.

“What Moses has brought to my life is certainly a deeper perspective as a working mom,” she explains. “I get choked up by the fact that two years ago I wasn’t worried about somebody else’s whole impression of life through my eyes.”

Hall even recalls “being a non mom” and having people tell her that “having a child” would make her a “better person.”

“And I thought, ‘Wow…What do you mean by that?'” say says. “And I thought, ‘I don’t want to have that perspective.’ I’m hoping that life, and each experience I have with each person I meet, makes me a better person.”

The Tamron Hall Show airs weekdays on ABC.

Armie Hammer explains why he took a construction job during quarantine

No Comments Entertainment News

Mike Coppola/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Armie Hammer was so bored during quarantine that he took a job working construction.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night, the actor said he found himself low on options as Hollywood shut down due to the pandemic. Then, his buddy bought an old motel near Joshua Tree National Park and asked him to come work on it.

“It was this kind of abandoned, run-down motel, and I came back from the Cayman Islands where I was during quarantine and I was like, ‘Dude, I have nothing to do,’” Hammer recalls. “He was like, ‘Do you wanna come live with me in this abandoned motel and do construction with me?'”

While Kimmel couldn’t believe a movie star like Hammer would actually say yes to something like that, Hammer says he was all for it.

“Do you think I had anything else better going on?” he said. “I was literally sitting at home picking boogers and seeing how far I could flick them. I was really out of options.”

Hammer first revealed he was working construction back in August, following his split from wife Elizabeth Chambers in early July.

Hammer’s new Netflix film, Rebecca, comes out October 21.
