The actor posted a photo of the two of them on their wedding day in 1991, side by side with a photo of his parents on their wedding day.
“Happy Birthday hon!” Travolta captioned the Instagram post. “I found this photo of my mom and dad‘s wedding. It was nice to see ours alongside theirs. All my love, John.”
Preston passed away in July after a private two-year battle with breast cancer.
“She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many,” Travolta wrote at the time, adding that he would be taking time off to heal and be with his children.
Travolta and Preston had three children together: Ella, 20, Benjamin, nine, and Jett, who died at age 16 in 2009.
NBCUniversal(NEW YORK) — The NBC daytime drama Days of Our Lives has suspended production for two weeks after a member of the production crew tested positive for COVID-19, according to Deadline.
Taping is set to resume October 26. Meanwhile, the person who tested positive as a result of the show’s strict protocol, is now in isolation. People who came in close contact with the affected individual have also been placed in quarantine for a period of 14 days.
The actions, “taken out of an abundance of caution,” also include deep cleaning and disinfecting of the soap’s production facilities at the Burbank Studios, according to Deadline.
The show’s airdate schedule won’t be affected by the shutdown.
The series, in its 56th season, resumed filming on September 1, making it the last of the four broadcast daytime soaps to pick up production. That was partly because Days had many more episodes already in the can than its counterparts, CBS’ The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful and ABC’s General Hospital.
ABC/Kelsey McNeal(LOS ANGELES) — Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Peta Murgatroyd had to quickly rush off the ballroom once the cameras stopped rolling on Monday night’s episode due to an injury that needed immediate treatment.
The dancer was noticeably absent from the press line, where she should have been standing with her dance partner, Super Bowl champ Vernon Davis.
“Sorry everyone tonight on @DancingABC I was absent from our spots after our dance,” the 34-year-old apologized on Twitter. “I pulled my neck and had to run to therapy.”
“I’ll be ok but I needed to get it seen to ASAP,” the dancer assured. “Thanks for the concern. Love you all and I’m looking forward to next week.”
Murgatroyd and Davis performed an energetic foxtrot to Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer,” earning a collective score of 21 out of 30. They were sent to the bottom two alongside actor Jesse Metcalfe, but the judges unanimously decided to save the NFL star due to the progress he’s made since the start of the season.
This isn’t the only injury to plague DWTS this year. Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe’s ability to compete this season was thrown into jeopardy after damaging her ankle during rehearsals.
Thankfully, she also pulled through and is currently one of the contestants favored to win the Mirror Ball trophy this season.
As for Davis and Murgatroyd, they could very well win it all as the judges have continually praised the athlete for listening to their criticisms and applying that to improve his technique each week.
Dancing with the Stars returns next Monday, October 19, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
ABC/Richard Harbaugh(NEW YORK) — Hilary Duff is back to work on season seven of Younger, which means she had to undergo a COVID-19 test to comply with health and safety guidelines — and her reaction was absolutely hilarious.
For those who have yet to receive one, one form of the test is administered nasally — meaning a cotton swab is inserted in the nasal cavity.
Duff shared her celebratory back to work COVID test on Monday via her Instagram stories, which showed the Lizzie McGuire alum experiencing an array of emotions during the mandatory health screening.
The 33-year-old actress is clearly apprehensive but is putting on a brave face before the test even begins, but as soon as the swab is inserted, Duff’s facade immediately crumbles. The actress’ face crinkles in disgust and she even lets out a few uncomfortable whimpers.
“Oh, my God,” she wheezes as the gloved medical professional continues to circle the swab around.
“Covid test #1001,” Duff captioned the video and also included a “welcome back to work” animated sticker for her video, which is now available to view to her 15 million followers.
This is probably the first of many more tests to come as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention strongly recommend frequent testing to help prevent the further spread of the contagious novel coronavirus.
Weiss Eubanks/NBCUniversal(LOS ANGELES) — Chris Evans became known for having more than just a patriotic pair of glutes when he accidentally posted an explicit photo of himself last month.
While the actor maintains that the NSFW blunder was an embarrassing mistake, his Knives Out on-screen mom Jamie Lee Curtissays she sees through the lies.
Appearing on The Kelly Clarkson ShowMonday, the revered actress doesn’t believe the 39-year-old Evans’ side of the story one bit.
“My question is this: He’s so smart and such an unbelievably beautiful human being,” the 61-year-old mused when the topic was inevitably broached during their animated discussion. “I’m wondering if it was even planned?”
Kelly Clarkson immediately glommed onto the idea and remarked, “Oh, he’s so clever! I kind of think it was planned just cause he was trying to get people to vote.”
After the infamous photo was purged from Evans’ social media accounts, the Captain America star broke his social media silence a few days later by joking on Twitter, “Now that I have your attention…. VOTE Nov 3rd!!!”
Curtis responded to the actor’s September 14 tweet, joking in response, “My boy! Proud of him. Got MY attention!”
Later in the segment, the Halloween star remarked that she flirted with another response to Evans’ explicit photo, telling Clarkson, “I could have made some sort of joke and said he took after his movie father, Don Johnson” — noting that she is close friends with his ex wife Melanie Griffith, inferring her bestie told her a few things about her former lover.
“She was married to him twice,” Curtis quipped, suggestively raising her eyebrows.
Knives Out, starring Curtis and Evans has since been greenlit for a sequel.
