'Jersey Shore' star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and wife Lauren expecting first child

No Comments Entertainment News

Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic(NEW JERSEY) — Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is about to have a situation on his hand — a baby situation, that is.

The reality star and his wife Lauren announced that they are expecting their first child together in adorable Instagram posts shared on Tuesday.

Both Mike and Lauren shared the same photos in their social media announcement. The first was a photo of the couple in the kitchen with their dog and on the counter, spelled out in flour reads, “Baby Sorrentino May 2021.” The second, showed a close up of the flour message with the ultrasound and, the third, was of the couple kissing in front of it.

“We have a Baby Situation,” Mike captioned the post. Meanwhile Lauren wrote, “Our biggest blessing is on it’s [sic] way.”

The couple, who married in 2018, also made an Instagram for their bundle of joy, @itsbabysituation, that already has over 40,000 followers.

The exciting news comes about a year after Mike and Lauren shared that they suffered a “heartwrenching” miscarriage. Speaking with Strahan, Sara & Keke in November 2019, the mom-to-be explained that they conceived the night Mike had returned from serving an eight month prison sentence for tax evasion.

“The night he came home, we actually conceived. And then at about six-and-a-half, seven weeks, I miscarried,” Lauren revealed.

“It was heart-wrenching. When I found out we were pregnant, I felt like this is why we went through all these challenges for years and that this was our time and it was our blessing,” she emotionally recalled. “It was hard. It was really difficult.”

'The Bachelorette' recap: The guys get a piece of Tayshia's mind when she finds out what some are saying about her

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Craig Sjodin(LOS ANGELES) — On Tuesday’s episode of The Bachelorette, Tayshia laid down the law after discovering what some of the men had been saying about her right before the rose ceremony.

The episode kicked off with a group date that featured Bennett, Ivan, Blake, Riley, Demar, Kenny and Zac competing for the only one-on-one date, each using his limited musical skills to write and perform a love song for Tayshia.  The winner was Ivan, who touched her heart with his spoken-word piece, and sealed the deal by inviting Tayshia on stage to sit next to him as he performed it.

The date began with Ivan joining Tayshia in her suite for a fun evening of games, including Twister and a pillow fight.  However, things turned serious when the two shared an emotional conversation and bonded over their similar backgrounds of being mixed-raced and the difficulties they faced growing up.  Afterwards, Tayshia offered him the date rose.

Next, former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin and Sydney Lotuaco, from season 23 of The Bachelor visited Tayshia, and helped her plan an outrageous game of Truth or Dare for six of the men: Bennet, Demar, Kenny, Blake, Zac and Riley. The dares include chugging disgusting smoothies, having host Chris Harrison autograph “a part of their body where the sun doesn’t shine” and proposing to Tayshia after eating a spicy habanero pepper.

Later came the “Truth” part of the date and Zac had all the right words for Tayshia, who enjoyed “looking at the stars and talking about life” with him.  He was rewarded with the date rose.

Heading into the rose ceremony, Ben and Ed both felt they needed to make a bold move to ensure they wouldn’t be sent home… So each decided to surprise Tayshia with a late-night visit at her villa.

The risky move paid off for Ben, who impressed Tayshia for “showing up,” something she said he needed to do earlier during his group date. The two shared a romantic evening together and bared their souls while enjoying champagne with strawberries.

Ed, on the other hand, in what turned into a comically awkward moment, knocked on the wrong door and wound up spending the evening with Harrison.  “That was weird,” mused Chris as he watched the embarrassed and frustrated bachelor head home afterwards.

Meanwhile, trouble was brewing at the men’s quarters, where some of the guys were still fuming over Noah’s stunt from last week, in which he crashed a group date, monopolized Tayshia for most of the evening and then managed to snag the date rose.

Noah attempted some damage control at the pre-rose ceremony cocktail party, privately telling Tayshia that some of the guys were “discrediting” her thought process and that they viewed her awarding him the rose as a “stunt” to “shake things up.”

Tayshia then gathered all the men together to reaffirm the promise she made when she first met them — that she was being her “true self” before telling them all to “grow up.”

“If you’re going to be questioning me,” she warned, “I’ll gladly walk you outside.”

At the rose ceremony, Jordan C., Joe, Kenny and Chasen were sent packing.

Here are the remaining men:

Ben, 29, an Army Ranger veteran from Venice, Calif.
Bennett, 36, a wealth management consultant from New York City, N.Y.
Blake Moynes, 29, a wildlife manager from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Brendan, 30, a commercial roofer from Milford, Mass.
Demar, 26, a spin cycling instructor from Scottsdale, Ariz.
Eazy, 29, a sports marketing agent from Newport Beach, Calif.
Ed, 36, a health care salesman from Miami, Fla.
Ivan, 28, an aeronautical engineer from Dallas, Texas
Noah, 25, a registered travel nurse from Tulsa, OK
Spencer, a 30-year-old Water treatment engineer from La Jolla, California;
Riley, 30, an attorney from Long Island City, N.Y.
Spencer, 30, a Water treatment engineer from La Jolla, California
Zac C., 36, an addiction specialist from Haddonfield, N.J.

The Bachelorette returns Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Netflix pulls the plug on 'Chappelle's Show' at Dave Chappelle's request

No Comments Entertainment News

Mathieu Bitton(LOS ANGELES) — Netflix has officially removed Dave Chappelle’s comedy series, Chappelle’s Show, from their platform after the comedian says he asked them to do so.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, Chappelle shared a comedy set called “Unforgiven” where he explained his issues with his sketch comedy show being streamed without his permission.

“They [ViacomCBS] didn’t have to pay me because I signed the contract,” Chappelle said in the video. “But is that right? I found out that these people were streaming my work and they never had to ask me or they never have to tell me.”

“Perfectly legal ‘cause I signed the contract,” he continues. “But is that right? I didn’t think so either.”

Dave says he was “furious” when he found out Netflix was streaming his show without his consent.

“How could they not– how could they not know?,” he said. “So you know what I did? I called them and I told them that this makes me feel bad. And you want to know what they did? They agreed that they would take it off their platform just so I could feel better.”

Although Netflix was quick to acquiesce, the series, which was created, executive produced and headlined by Chappelle, is still available on several ViacomCBS brands, including its original home Comedy Central, CBS All Access, and now HBO Max.

As previously reported, Chappelle recently called out both Netflix and HBO Max for streaming Chappelle’s Show during his Saturday Night Live hosting appearance on November 7.

Director Carl Weathers laughing along with 'The Mandalorian' fans about errant "Jeans Guy"

No Comments Entertainment News

Disney+(LOS ANGELES) — As predicted, Star Wars fans are having a good-natured laugh at The Mandalorian‘s “Game of Thrones coffee cup” moment — and so is director Carl Weathers.

Shortly after Weathers’ episode “The Seige” aired last Friday on Disney+, fans noticed a stray crew member lingering in one shot, and as we predicted, didn’t take much longer for those in the costuming community to joke about what it would take to build a “canon” costume of the man forever branded as “Jeans Guy” — and even create a mock action figure and a LEGO minifig of the guy, both complete with the piece of set that obscured half of his body.

The errant crew member even made an appearance as “Admiral Jeff-Blue Jeans” in the Star Wars encyclopedia Wookieepedia. The post was quickly taken down, but not before some wiseguy — or girl — described the character as being, “known for his strange look of a T-Shirt and blue jeans,” and “a cunning warrior and a respected individual.”

Buoyed by great reviews for the episode — dozens of which he personally responded to on Twitter — Weathers was laughing along with them, calling Jeans Guy, “A bogey!”

And speaking of the episode, the blue space macarons that a hungry Baby Yoda swiped from a stingy kid can now be yours, thanks to Williams-Sonoma, which is selling a pack of them for $50. They’re called Nevarro Nummies, after the planet on which The Child found the confection.

Amber Riley is engaged: "I’m looking at a man who changed my mind" about "love"

No Comments Entertainment News

ABCAmber Riley is officially off the market and happily engaged to her boyfriend Desean Black.

The Glee actress and singer shared a romantic photo of herself and her fiance on Instagram, where she also posted a video of herself admiring her her soon-to-be hubby while showing off her stunning ring.

“There was a time when I thought I didn’t want or deserve this kind of love. I’m looking at a man who changed my mind,” wrote Riley. “My time by myself, loving on myself, getting comfortable with myself, prepared me for you, and prepared me for this.”

She continued, “I am so proud to say, I am the future Mrs. Black. I love you @deseanblack_official and I thank you for your patience, your friendship, and your partnership!”

In the comments, Lena Waithe, Gabrielle Union and Francia Raisa, as well as fellow Glee star Matthew Morrison, wished Riley well on her engagement.

Black shared the same post on his Instagram account, adding his own heartfelt message about the woman who he says brings him “unconditional love.”

“Fellas, when a woman looks at you like this, it’s a clear indication that you’re doing the right thing,” he wrote. “Now, when she delivers unconditional love that you’ve never experienced, it’s another clear indication that you’ve found the one. Only a fool would let someone as special as this slip away.”

“So I did what any wise man would do and put a ring on it. I love you to pieces @msamberpriley, or should I say the future Mrs. Black,” he added. “#happilyengaged A king will always protect his queen.”

“Hi fiance,” wrote Riley in Black’s comments.

This past summer, Riley’s Glee co-star Jenna Ushkowitz also got engaged, to her boyfriend of two years, David Stanley.
