'The Bachelor' recap: The ladies' toxic behavior leads to a pair of shocking eliminations

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Craig Sjodin)(LOS ANGELES) — Ahead of the rose ceremony, tensions between the original group of ladies and the new arrivals reached a boiling point, and on Monday’s episode of The Bachelor, Matt was determined to get to the bottom of it.

His first order of business was addressing the false rumor Anna circulated about Brittany, which claimed she moonlighted as an escort.  Katy brought the rumor to Matt’s attention at last week’s pre-rose ceremony cocktail party — a lie that Brittany insisted could “destroy her life.”

Anna, realizing she crossed a line, tried her best to make things right by owning up to the transgression and apologizing to Brittany and Matt.  Unfortunately, Matt, while acknowledging that Anna was “not a horrible person,” sent her home out of a “responsibility” to Brittany, the other women and to himself to “follow his heart.”

Because of that, he no longer saw Anna as “being a part of that journey anymore.”

Anna’s departure sent a clear message that Matt would no longer tolerate any form of harassment or bullying between the original group — or “O.G.’s” as they called themselves — and the newcomers, leading to each of the O.G.s one-by-one to apologize, including Victoria.

However, the self-proclaimed queen’s apology rang hollow, especially for Ryan, who, during a private conversation with Matt, teared up as she recalled Victoria’s accusation that the professional dancer, was “a ho.”

Victoria flatly denied the claim and had a panic attack prior to the rose ceremony.

Her worst fear was realized when she was sent packing, along with three other women.  Because of that, she held nothing back while saying her goodbye to Matt.

“I honestly feel so sorry for you that you would listen to hearsay and not all of the facts of the situation,” she snapped at the speechless Bachelor.  Glancing towards the other women, she added, “So, goodbye,” and walked out.

“Matt is not my king, but I’m still his queen,” she declared directly to the camera.  She then referred to Matt as a “jester” for picking Katie — whom she blamed for her departure — over her.

Feeling confident that he had successfully handled the situation, Matt turned his attention back to finding his true love and embarked on a pair of one-on-ones and a group date.

The first on-on-one went to Rachael, who was treated to a shopping spree, courtesy of Matt. After revealing over dinner that she was falling in love with him, he offered the date rose and confessed he felt the same way.

Following a group date to find out which of the women was comfortable getting down and dirty on a farm, Abigail — who, along with her sister was born deaf — revealed the “strong possibility” of her passing that trait onto her children.  The stress of raising two deaf children, she continued, ultimately led to her father walking out on his family.  She confessed to fearing that the same thing could happen to her.

Matt consoled her by insisting that what she sees as “a barrier and a roadblock” are what he loves about her.  Abigail, who snagged the first impression rose on night one, also received the group date rose.

Later, Kit shared a home-cooked dinner at Matt’s place and confessed that she, too, was falling in love with the Bachelor.  He responded by giving her the date rose.

Meanwhile, Matt found himself settling another dispute, this time between MJ and Jessenia, the latter of whom had earlier accused the former of making her and some of the other girls “feel like outsiders.”

With another rose ceremony looming, Matt needed “to know the truth,” which he attempted to ascertain via a two-on-one date with both ladies.

We’ll find out which woman will stay and which one heads home, when The Bachelor returns Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

'Saved by the Bell' co-stars pay tribute to the late Dustin Diamond

No Comments Entertainment News

NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via Getty Images via Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — The tributes are pouring in for Saved by the Bell star Dustin Diamond, who died of cancer Monday morning.

Lark Voorhies — who played Lisa Turtle, the high school crush of Diamond’s character Screech on the series — discussed their “warm friendship” in a statement obtained by ABC News.

“Words cannot express the grief that I am feeling right now. Dustin and I had a warm and special friendship, he was a caring gentleman, and my memories of him will always be cherished,” said Voorhies. “I am so very sorry he is gone. But it’s exceptionally sad for his close loved ones who have do deal with his tragic death and their own great loss. My heart goes out to them at this trying time.”

Diamond was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in January. His co-star Mario Lopez said despite those who took his illness as an “joke,” he optimistically believed Diamond would make a full recovery.

“I actually just spoke with him a couple of weeks ago,” Lopez tells Variety. “He was reluctant to go [to the hospital] for a while because he didn’t know if anything was going to get out. And I said, ‘Bro, that’s foolish, you’ve got to get in there and take care of yourself and forget what people are saying.”

“It’s incredibly hard to process,” said Lopez about Diamond’s passing. “And it’s shocking because he was so young; he was only 44.”

Lopez described Diamond as his “fun, goofy little brother” who “was an integral part of the chemistry and the comedy” on SBTB. “I don’t know if it would have worked without him,” he added.

Lopez plans to eagerly “push for some sort of” tribute to Diamond and his character’s iconic moments, as a producer on the Saved by the Bell revival on Peacock. Although Diamond did not reprise his role, his character was referenced.

After news of Diamond’s passing broke, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who played Zack Morris mourned the death of “a true comedic genius.” He added, “Looking back at our time working together, I will miss those raw, brilliant sparks that only he was able to produce. A pie in your face, my comrade.” The mixed-ish actor also sent his condolences to Diamond’s family and friends.

"Shocked, heartbroken, and devastated": Elizabeth Chambers comments amid ex-husband Armie Hammer accusations

No Comments Entertainment News

David M. Benett/Dave Benett/Getty Images for Eco-Age Ltd(LOS ANGELES) — For the first time, Elizabeth Chambers, the ex-wife of Armie Hammer and the mother of his two daughters, is speaking out amid growing accusations against the actor.

As claims against Hammer continue to mount, accusing him of having sordid fantasies involving cannibalism, Chambers took to Instagram Monday.

“For weeks, I’ve been trying to process everything that has transpired,” she began, adding, “I am shocked, heartbroken, and devastated.”

She added, “Heartbreak aside, I am listening, and will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know,” and stated, “I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal.”

That said, Chambers, an author, TV personality and entrepreneur, said, “At this time, I will not be commenting further on this matter.”

Instead, she thanked fans for their “love and support,” and noted, “My sole focus and attention will continue to be on our children, on my work and on healing during this incredibly difficult time.”

The initial allegations, reportedly culled from leaked and unverified sexting DMs, led Hammer to drop out of the Jennifer Lopez film Shotgun Wedding.  In a statement to Entertainment TonightHammer later called the first allegations “bulls***…” and “…vicious and spurious online attacks…”

More recently, Hammer’s 22-year-old ex-girlfriend, Paige Lorezne, made new and disturbing claims to the Daily Mail, insisting he was “obsessed” with the idea of “taking a piece of me…and consuming it.”

In a statement to DailyMail.com, Hammer’s lawyer called those claims “patently untrue,” and that, “Any interactions with [Lorenze], or any partner of his, were completely consensual in that they were fully discussed, agreed upon, and mutually participatory.'”
