No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Heidi Gutman(LOS ANGELES) — (NOTE CONTENT) Amy Schumer is loving her body, scars and all.

The Trainwreck star on Sunday posed for a nude selfie on Instagram that proudly shows off her C-section scar, which she received when giving birth to her son Gene.

Feeling like my C-section looks cute today,” Schumer cheekily captioned the daring selfie and threw in the hashtags “#hotgirlwinter” — a play on Megan Thee Stallion’s 2019 smash “Hot Girl Summer” — and “#csection.”

The photo was met with an outpouring of support from fellow moms such as Nicole Richie and Debra Messing, who praised Schumer’s bold snap.

The comment section was also filled with moms telling the I Feel Pretty star about their C-section scars and exclaiming how much the post meant to them.

One fan admitted she needs “to love my c-section more” while another expressed, “Thank you for helping me feel more okay with mine!”

Schumer, who has never been one to shy away from sharing too much information, extensively documented her difficult pregnancy with her Instagram posts, in her stand-up routines and in the HBO Max documentary Expecting Amy.

Amy shares Gene, who was born May 5, 2019, with husband Chris Fischer.

Tony Bennett reveals he has Alzheimer's; forthcoming album with Lady Gaga may be his last

No Comments Entertainment News

Neil Lupin/Redferns(NEW YORK) — Tony Bennett’s family has revealed that for the last four years, the legendary crooner, who’s 94, has been battling Alzheimer’s disease.

Breaking their silence in AARP The Magazine, the family explains that Bennett’s long-awaited sequel to his Grammy-winning 2014 album with Lady Gaga, Cheek to Cheek, is going to be released this spring, but because of his condition, Bennett cannot participate in any interviews.  That’s why, they say, they decided to go public with the diagnosis.

When Bennett’s son and manager Danny asked Lady Gaga how she felt about the family revealing Bennett’s condition, Danny notes that she said, “Absolutely.  It’s just another gift he can give to the world.'”  The forthcoming album was recorded between 2018 and 2020.

The article also reveals that even after Bennett’s diagnosis, he was still able to tour and perform a 90-minute set so well that nobody suspected anything was wrong.  His last live show was in March of 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but his doctor recommended that the star continue to sing, because it’s so helpful in managing his illness, the hallmark of which is increasing dementia and memory challenges.  In fact, Bennett’s longtime pianist comes to his apartment twice a week and runs through his 90-minute set with him.

Amazingly, even though Bennett is often unaware of where he is and cannot recognize everyday objects, he can sing all this songs perfectly.  As Bennett’s neurologist tells AARP The Magazine, “He is doing so many things, at 94, that many people without dementia cannot do. He really is the symbol of hope for someone with a cognitive disorder.”

In fact, Tony’s wifem Susan, tells the magazine, “Singing is everything to him…If he ever stops singing, that’s when we’ll know…hopefully he’ll just go to sleep one night and that will be that.”

“He’s not the old Tony anymore,” she adds, heartbreakingly. “But when he sings, he’s the old Tony.”

'Saturday Night Live' pokes fun at conspiracy theorists, vaccine rollout and more

No Comments Entertainment News

Will Heath/NBC(NEW YORK) — Saturday Night Live came out swinging against the nation’s state of affairs, leaving no stone unturned when premiering its first episode of 2021.

Kate McKinnon opened the show by hosting the spoof talk show “What Still Works?” that tackled the controversy of freshman Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, the highly criticized vaccine rollout, social media outlets, the stock market and the Super Bowl.

First off, McKinnon grilled Cecily Strong’s Greene about her beliefs, with Strong quipping, “How much time you got?”

“For you?  Very little,” McKinnon shoots back and smiles emotionlessly as Strong touts her conspiracy theories, such as the Parkland shooting being a hoax and “the California wildfires were caused by Jewish space lasers.”

When McKinnon asks how Congress reacted to her controversial beliefs, Strong replied, “I was promoted to the Education Committee!”

Pete Davidson, spoofing a GameStop investor that is enjoying the mayhem on Wall Street, was up next — causing McKinnon to lose faith in the stock market.

Mikey Day and Alex Moffat join McKinnon as Twitter founder Jack Dorsey and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, respectively, to confirm if banning former President Donald Trump and alt-right conspiracists was the right move.

“It seems to have forced those people onto darker, scarier apps where their delusion and bloodlust can run wild,” says Day’s ultra-quarantined bearded Dorsey.

Moffat’s zany Zuckerberg cracks that Facebook still works because it allowed friends to meet in real life, like at the U.S. Capitol.

Kenan Thompson joins as O.J. Simpson to parody the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, with McKinnon deadpanning that the former NFL star was “Among the first 3 percent of all Americans given the vaccine.”

The only thing that still works, according to McKinnon?  Tom Brady, as played by John Krasinski.

Saturday’s episode was hosted by Krasinski, with Machine Gun Kelly as musical guest.
