Chrissy Teigen shares heartbreaking news that she suffered a miscarriage

• No Comments • Entertainment News

Toni Anne Barson/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — Chrissy Teigen shared the heartbreaking news that she suffered a miscarriage.

In an Instagram post shared late Wednesday evening, Teigen shared a series of black-and-white photo of herself and husband, John Legend, in the hospital and penned a lengthy caption revealing the gut-wrenching news.

“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before,” she began. “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”

The 34-year-old model, who announced her pregnancy in August, went on to disclose that even though she and Legend typically wait to name their children “until the last possible moment after they’re born,” they had already started to call their baby Jack while he was still in her belly.

“To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive,” she continued. “We will always love you.”

Teigen then took a moment to thank those who have sent “positive energy, thoughts and prayers,” adding, “We feel all of your love and truly appreciate you.”

“We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience.  But everyday can’t be full of sunshine,” the Chrissy’s Court star explained. “On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.”

In a tweet, Legend added, “We love you, Jack.”

Miscarriage refers the loss of a pregnancy in any trimester.  According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, stillbirth is a term used to describe a loss at 20 weeks or later. The organization reported that stillbirth occurs in approximately 1 in 160 deliveries in the United States.

Teigen previously said she was about halfway through her pregnancy.

Suspect arrested in ambush shooting of 2 LA sheriff's deputies

(LOS ANGELES) — A suspect has been arrested in the brazen ambush shooting that left two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies severely wounded earlier this month, authorities said on Wednesday.

Authorities identified the suspect as 36-year-old Deonte Murray.

Murray has been in custody since Sept. 15, when he was arrested following an alleged carjacking and a 10-hour standoff with police in the Lynwood section of Los Angeles, sheriff’s officials said. But when he was arrested, sheriff’s officials told reporters that Murray was not the suspect in the shooting of the deputies and that the search for that gunman, which prompted a reward that soared to $675,000 with private donations, was ongoing.

During a news conference on Wednesday, sheriff’s officials faced numerous questions about why they initially ruled out Murray as the ambush suspect. Officials claimed that at the time of Murray’s arrest they didn’t know for sure he was the alleged gunman.

Murray is scheduled to be arraigned later on Wednesday. Prosecutors are recommending bail be set at $6.15 million.

The ambush unfolded on Sept. 12 as the two deputies, whose names have not been released by the sheriff’s department, sat in a marked patrol vehicle near the Martin Luther King Jr. Transit Center in Compton, authorities said. Surveillance video released by the sheriff’s department showed an individual dressed in black shorts, a dark jacket and wielding a pistol walk up to the vehicle and shoot through the passenger-side window without warning.

The shooter ran to a black four-door sedan and sped away, authorities said. As the gunman fled, surveillance video showed the patrol vehicle’s passenger-side door open and one of the wounded deputies, described as a 31-year-old mother of a 6-year-old, stumble out.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva told ABC News earlier this month that despite being shot four or five times, including once in the jaw, the female deputy walked around the patrol vehicle to help her 24-year-old partner, who suffered gunshot wounds to his forehead, arms and one hand.

Both deputies initially were in critical condition and taken to St. Francis Medical Center, where they underwent surgery. They’ve since been released but are facing long rehabilitation periods, officials said.

Officials have not commented on Murray’s motive for the alleged ambush “beyond the fact that he hates policemen and wants them dead,” said Kent Wegener, captain of the LA Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau.

At the time of Murray’s arrest, reports circulated online implying that the armed carjacking suspect caught in Lynwood could be the gunman wanted in the surprise attack on the two deputies. However, the sheriff’s department issued a statement describing the online reports as “ERRONEOUS information” and said “there are no named or wanted suspects at this time.”

When Murray was arrested, reporters asked Villanueva why Murray was being held on $2 million bail and asked the sheriff directly if he was connected to the ambush, according to ABC Los Angeles station KABC.

“[He] was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and carjacking,” Villanueva said then. “And he actually shot the victim with an AR-15, and stole the vehicle. So that, itself, is going to necessitate the higher bail. And he is an extremely dangerous person, and thankfully he was arrested without incident — without, at least, anybody being injured.”

Dolly Parton dropped a huge Easter egg about her Christmas album months ago, and no one noticed

• No Comments • Country Music News

ABC/Image Group LAAs usual, Dolly Parton outsmarted just about everybody: In early 2020, she hid a clue about her then-unannounced Christmas album, A Holly Dolly Christmas, in plain sight on her Instagram feed.

Way back in January, months before she let fans in on her plans to drop a Christmas record, Dolly got the ball rolling on a soon-viral meme challenge that has been dubbed “LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder.” Challenge participants upload a mosaic of four photos of themselves, each image corresponding to a different social media platform.

Dolly was apparently the first person to take part in this challenge. Her four-image grid consisted of a buttoned-up picture of herself with her hair pulled back and a pencil behind her ear for LinkedIn, a wholesome photo of herself wearing a Christmas sweater for Facebook, a casual black-and-white image of a young Dolly with guitar in hand for Instagram and an image from her iconic 1978 Playboy shoot for Tinder.

But while everyone was busy putting together their own versions of the meme, they missed something important: The Christmas sweater she’s wearing in her “Facebook” image actually says “Holly Dolly Christmas” on it.

The country star came clean about her sneaky Easter egg this week, asking fans if they caught the clue she dropped more than eight months ago.

For those wishing to copy Dolly’s “Facebook” look, the Holly Dolly Christmas turtleneck is now available at her merch store. A Holly Dolly Christmas comes out this Friday.

Armie Hammer calls separation from Elizabeth Chambers a "seismic event"

• No Comments • Entertainment News

Christopher Polk/Getty Images for The Critics’ Choice Awards (LOS ANGELES) — Armie Hammer is opening up about how the “intense situation” of quarantine played a role in he and wife Elizabeth Chambers’ separation.

In a cover story for the latest issue of British GQ, the actor offers a candid interview about the emotional pain he’s experienced since he and Chambers announced this summer that their marriage was coming to an end after 10 years.

Earlier this year, the couple and their two children — daughter Harper, 5, and son Ford, 3 — quarantined with his father and his wife in the Cayman Islands, where COVID-19 protection measures were so strict that even gas stations and grocery stores shut down and the family was unable to leave the apartment.

“It was tough, man. I’d never dealt with anything like that before in my life, so I didn’t have the tools. It was just this thing that snuck up on everybody. I don’t think I handled it very well,” Hammer reflects. “I think, to be quite frank, I came very close to completely losing my mind. I just felt completely powerless.”

Being in such close quarters for an extended period of time with a combination of “big personalities,” as Hammer describes it, proved to be a breaking point for the couple, who announced their separation in July.

“I don’t think you’ll find anyone in the world who would ever say what I’m going through is an easy thing to go through,” Hammer shares. “It’s not about whether it was your idea or not, or whether you think it’s the right idea or you don’t. Either way, a separation like this is a seriously seismic event in someone’s life.”

Tim McGraw flashes back to the ‘90s with Amazon Original version of “Something Like That”

• No Comments • Country Music News

Courtesy of Amazon MusicTim McGraw is revisiting one of his classic hits, “Something Like That,” in a brand-new Amazon Original version of the tune.

“Something Like That” originally came out way back in 1999, where it became a number-one hit for Tim on country radio. According to Nielsen, the song also became the most-played radio single of the 2000s — of any genre.

Even though it’s been over 20 years since the song came out, it’s still a big crowd-pleaser to this day, and that’s a big part of the reason why Tim chose to re-record it.

“This is one of my favorite songs to play live,” the singer explains. “It always takes the energy level up a notch and it’s just a lot of fun. We let the fans pick a closing song from our Here on Earth livestream experience, and this was their choice.”

Like many artists, Tim has been staying connected with fans during the COVID-19 pandemic by performing virtually, and often in a more pared-down setting, instead of his usual full backing band. The new version of “Something Like That” is more in line with that kind of performance, the singer goes on to say.

“It’s a stripped-down acoustic version of the song, something you don’t get to hear us do very often with this one. We hope you like it,” he adds.

Here on Earth, Tim’s 16th solo studio album, came out this August.
