NWS Corpus Christi issues Map of Freezing Temperatures From Last Night for Victoria Crossroads, Coastal Bend, and Brush Country.

Good afternoon,

The first widespread freeze of the season occurred last night across much of South Texas. The map below shows the estimated 32 degree line for the area. Also included is a county-by-county analysis.

Nueces County
Only a brief/light freeze occurred. The majority of the Corpus Christi metro area remained just above 32 degrees.
The far south side of Corpus Christi briefly reached 32 degrees as did the International Airport, westward to Robstown.
Our office located near the airport briefly reached 31 degrees.

Webb County
Most of the county experienced lows in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees.
Minor pockets of 32 degrees were observed across the city of Laredo for a brief duration.
Most of Laredo remained above 32 degrees.
Victoria County
Most of the county experienced lows in the upper 20s.
Unofficial reports of 26 degrees were reported in McFaddin.
Kleberg County
Most of the county remained above 32 degrees.
The Kingsville NAS briefly reached 32 degrees around sunrise.

San Patricio County
Western half of the county (roughly Sinton and westward) had lows near 30 degrees.
Eastern half of the county had lows around 32 degrees.

Aransas County
Minimum temperatures across entire county were around 32 degrees.
Rockport briefly reached 32 degrees.
Aransas National Wildlife Refuge reached 31 degrees.

Refugio County
Widespread freezing temperatures occurred across the county, generally around 30 degrees.

Calhoun County
Widespread freezing temperatures occurred across the county, generally around 30 degrees.
Bee County
Widespread lows in the upper 20s occurred. Pockets of lows in the mid 20s.

Goliad County
Widespread lows in the upper 20s occurred. Pockets of lows in the mid 20s.

Live Oak County
Widespread lows in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees occurred.

Jim Wells County
A brief light freeze of 32 degrees occurred across the southern half of the county.
A slightly longer freeze occurred across the northern half of the county where lows were in the lower 30s.
Duval County
A nearly widespread freeze of around 30 degrees occurred across the county.

McMullen County
Widespread freeze in the upper 20s occurred.

LaSalle County
Widespread freeze around 30 degrees occurred.
