No Comments Entertainment News

Orion Pictures(LOS ANGELES) — Let loose with your best air guitar riff, because Orion Pictures just released the official trailer and poster for Bill & Ted Face the Music

The continued adventures of Alex Winter’s William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Keanu Reeves’ Theodore “Ted” Logan have the now-middle-aged pair grappling with their missed opportunity to create a song that saves the world.

Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine play their daughters, and as the trailer hints, the pair will come to rub elbows with some new historical figures, re-visit Hell, and reunite with their old pal Death, again played by William Sadler.

The Bill & Ted Face the Music cast will unite for a “most excellent” panel discussion, moderated by Kevin Smith, as part of San Diego Comic-Con, on Saturday, July 25 at 6 PM Eastern time. Keeping with the “Comic-Con at home” theme, you can watch the proceedings on YouTube.

Bill & Ted Face the Music will be released on demand and in theaters on September 1, 2020.

Martha Stewart responds to Chelsea Handler recreating her viral pool selfie

No Comments Entertainment News

Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery, so when Chelsea Handler decided to recreate Martha Stewart’s now viral selfie, the icon herself had to respond.

Handler, 45, posted the copycat Instagram post just one day after fans went crazy over Stewart’s sultry pool pic which showed her rocking a pink lip, shimmery eyeshadow and mascara as she subtly pouted at the camera.

“I’m here to take [Martha Stewart]’s swimming lesson,” Handler explained in the caption. “If I look this good at 78 I better still have a pool to show myself off in.”

Flattered, Stewart commented, “Dear Chelsea I’m so happy that you like my post well enough to emulate it.”

“I do think my pool is a little bit prettier than yours and that my facial expression is a little bit more relaxed. Nevertheless you are a beautiful girl and F****** too young to be emulating me,” the businesswoman declared. “Continue with your comedy, your humor, and your amazing ability to gather around you political liberals. We need it! Love Martha.”

Dave Franco tapped to play a young Vanilla Ice on the big screen

No Comments Entertainment News

Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — Dave Franco has found his new project, portraying a young Vanilla Ice in the upcoming movie To The Extreme.

Franco, 35, spilled the beans during an interview with Insider when discussing his directorial debut on another movie, The Rental.

“We have been in development for a while but we are inching closer and closer to preproduction,” the actor dished; confirming that the 90s rap sensation will be the focus of a new biopic.

Franco attests that, should the project follow the right formula and be handled with respect, it’ll be just as successful as the film he co-directed with his older brother James Franco — the Oscar-nominated The Disaster Artist.

“With that movie, people expected us to make a broad comedy where we make fun of Tommy Wiseau, but the more real we played it, the funnier and heartfelt it was — that’s the tone we want for this one as well,” the younger Franco noted.

While COVID-19 has production shut down for the moment, the Now You See Me star says he’s been using his time getting to know Vanilla Ice — real name Rob Van Winkle — as a person.

“Rob is such a sweet and intelligent guy and he’s been super helpful in the process of getting all the details correct and making us privy to information the public doesn’t know,” he revealed. “Just talking to him I can’t help but think about the rabbit holes I’m going to go down to get ready for the role.”

To the Extreme was previously summarized by Production Weekly last year as “From a high school dropout selling cars in Dallas to having the first hip-hop single to top the Billboard charts with ‘Ice Ice Baby,’ a young Vanilla Ice struggles with stardom, extortion attempts, and selling out as he makes music history.”

AMC Theatres delay re-opening after 'Mulan', 'Tenet' moved due to COVID-19

“Tenet” – Melinda Sue Gordon/© 2020 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. All Rights Reserved.(LOS ANGELES) — Chances are, you won’t be going to “a theater near you” any time soon. Variety reports that AMC Theatres has postponed their planned reopening of more than 600 theaters in the face of a resurgence of COVID-19 cases.

The theater chain had planned to open July 15 stateside, but later moved that date to July 30, with the thought that the chain would “essentially [shift] to full operation by early August.”

However, the moving of two major releases — Mulan and Tenet — coupled with a resurgence of COVID-19 cases in Texas, Florida, Arizona and other states, led the chain to decide to remain closed.

Warner Bros. announced last week it was moving its release Tenet from July to a date yet determined, and Disney said its live-action version of Mulan would now open August 21 instead of July 24 — and that later date could change further still.

Will Smith says he's "definitely gonna block" fan after "entanglement" joke

No Comments Entertainment News

Paras Griffin/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Will Smith doesn’t seem to be a fan of jokes about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s “entanglement” with August Alsina.

On Wednesday, the Bad Boys actor shared an Instagram clip showing what jumping rope looks like from the rope’s point of view. While many joked that the video made them dizzy, one user took the video as an opportunity to make a witty comment and wrote, “Ok don’t get entangled” with a laughing-crying emoji.

Smith appeared amused by the joke, but made it clear that it won’t be tolerated on his page when he replied, “Hahaha… Okay… I can admit it. That’s Funny! I’m definitely gonna block you. But the joke was Very Funny!”

The joke stems from a recent episode of Red Table Talk in which Jada referred to her relationship with Alsina (while separated from Will) as an “entanglement.” Her use of the word has since sparked a new community of jokes and memes.
