20th Century Studios bumps 'The King's Man' to 2021

No Comments Entertainment News

20th Century Films(LOS ANGELES) — The King’s Man, the WWI-set prequel to director Matthew Vaughn’s hit Kingsman spy movie series, is being bumped out of the 2020 release schedule.

20th Century Studios, which is owned by ABC Audio’s parent company Disney, was supposed to debut the movie on September 18; it’s now opening February 26, 2021.

The move isn’t entirely unexpected given the ongoing COVID-19  pandemic, which has led some local authorities to keep movie theaters shuttered.

The King’s Man stars Ralph Fiennes, Djimon Hounsou, Stanley Tucci and Jemma Arteton, and focuses on the origins of the secret Kingsman spy agency.

So far, only 20th’s leftover X-Men-related film The New Mutants is set for a theatrical bow. However, that film, which premieres this Friday, experienced a rocky road to theaters even before the coronavirus pandemic — it was supposed to come out in November of 2019. Re-shoots, and then the Disney acquisition of 20th Century’s Marvel properties, delayed the film further.

However, with Disney moving its other one-time summer movie, Mulan, to Disney+ instead of theaters, all eyes are on Disney-owned Marvel Studios’ Black Widow. That film that was scheduled to hit theaters on May 1 of this year but was bumped to October. It remains to be seen if the pandemic and its industry aftershocks will force the studio to move it again.

Samuel L. Jackson shares a very on-brand message to voters: "Vote motherf*****"

No Comments Entertainment News

Steve Iervolino/ABC News(LOS ANGELES) — (NOTE LANGUAGE) You know what Samuel L. Jackson had to say about snakes on planes and now he’s offering a pearl of advice to those eligible to vote in this year’s presidential election.

While it may be a little rough, Jackson doesn’t mince words to get his point across.

In an undated video of him at a party with actress and comedian Jennifer Lewis, the Django Unchained star flashes a highly judgmental glance at the camera as he remarks, “All you motherf******s who just turned 18 and everybody who didn’t vote the last [election] that’s over 18… vote motherf******s!”

Of course, the 71-year-old Jackson had some choice words for those who want to vote but still have to finish up some steps first in order to legally cast their ballots.

“Register and f****** vote,” he grunts, never breaking eye contact with the camera.

However, voters weren’t let off the hook even after Jackson said his piece as Lewis quickly jumped in with her own choice words.

“And get your a** out and vote,” the black-ish star scolds while wagging a stern finger at the camera. “Y’all wanted to see me and Sam Jackson in the same room, well, here it is.”

Jackson summed up his and Lewis’ feelings in his succinct caption of the Wednesday upload, “We said what we said??”

For those wanting to heed Jackson and Lewis’ advice and cast a ballot in the upcoming election should check their state’s registration deadline on vote.org, which provides a detailed state-by-state summary of when the last day of enrollment is.

The 2020 presidential election, set for November 3, is less than 70 days away.

Freeform/Byron Cohen(LOS ANGELES) — It’s only been a week since Bella Thorne joined OnlyFans and she’s already breaking records.

The 22-year-old former Disney actress now holds the record for the most money earned in 24 hours on the platform after she brought in $1 million dollars on her first day.

Thorne charges $20 a month for access to her content, which she previously teased in a sultry video on Instagram. Those who subscribe get an exclusive peek into her life through photos, videos and they can even personally chat with her — but they shouldn’t expect to see her to bare it all.

On Tuesday, she retweeted an article discussing her million dollar accomplishment and added, “Also nooooo I’m not doing nudity!!!”

As for what enticed Thorne to join the platform, she told Paper that, “OnlyFans is the first platform where I can fully control my image; without censorship, without judgement, and without being bullied online for being me.”

Thorne joins celebrities like Cardi B, Swae Lee, and Sonja Morgan from The Real Housewives of New York who have also started OnlyFans accounts.
