Chris Jackson/Chris Jackson/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are becoming film and TV producers.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have inked a deal with Netflix to produce films and series, including docu-series, documentaries, features and children’s programming, a source close to the couple tells ABC News.

Their priority will be creating programs that resonate with their values and highlight issues on which their nonprofit, Archewill, will also focus.

Currently there are several projects in development, including a nature docu-series and an animated series that celebrates inspiring women, the source added.

“Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope,” Meghan and Harry told The New York Times in a statement. “As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.”

Earlier this year, Harry, 35, and Meghan, 39, stepped back as “senior members” of the royal family and relocated with their 15-month-old son, Archie, from the United Kingdom to California.

Although they’ve kept a low profile since arriving in the United States, the duke and duchess have made several outings for charity and Meghan has made a commencement speech and conducted two interviews around the importance of voting.

The source told ABC News that Meghan, who previously starred in the USA series Suits, has no plans to return to acting. However, several months ago she did provide voice-over work for the Disneynature documentary, Elephants.

Meanwhile, Harry recently made his Netflix debut in the documentary Rising Phoenix, about the Paralympic Games. In 2005, he created a documentary The Forgotten Kingdom — Prince Harry in Lesotho, to raise awareness of the issues plaguing the African kingdom.

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC(LOS ANGELES) — Letitia Wright honored her late Black Panther co-star Chadwick Boseman with a heartbreaking tribute on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old actress, who played Boseman’s onscreen sister, Shuri, in the 2018 Marvel Studios blockbuster, shared an emotional spoken-word statement reflecting on the devastating loss and what their relationship meant to her.

“It is written, there is nothing new under the sun, but the sun stood still that morning, refusing to shine,” Wright shared. “Dark clouds surrounding, confusion setting in. Tears flowing, rivers so deep. I didn’t know this is what I was waking up to — my brother, an angel on earth, departed.”

“A soul so beautiful, when you walked into a room, there was calm,” she continued. “You always moved with grace and ease. Every time I saw you, the world would be a better place. Words can’t describe how I feel — how we all feel — that losing you was forced upon us. To accept this as a new reality. I wish I got to say goodbye.”

“But against all the odds, you remained focused on fulfilling your purpose with the time handed to you,” Wright finishes. “I’ll never forget the day that I met you, before I got on the plane to L.A. for my first meeting with you, God told me that you were my brother and that I am to love you as such. And I always did, and I always will.”

Boseman died at age of 43 of colon cancer, his family announced on Aug. 28. Few knew the actor was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016, which eventually progressed to stage 4.  Many expressing amazement at Boseman’s strength in filming several movies, including MarshallDa 5 Bloods and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, while undergoing surgeries and chemotherapy.

Reese Witherspoon hilariously reveals how homeschooling her 7-year-old is going

No Comments Entertainment News

Daniele Venturelli/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — As kids across the country start heading back to school this week, some families have opted to go the homeschooling route due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  While some parents say they love spending the extra time with their children, others like Reese Witherspoon have discovered that their patience is already being tested.

On Monday, the Legally Blonde star provided a blunt update as to how her seven-year-old son Tennessee has been getting along with her homeschooling efforts.  As it turns out, he’s decided that he is now Spider-Man.

Uploading a series of photos of her son hanging upside down from various objects, like the kitchen counter and the handle bars of her car, Witherspoon simply wrote, “Home school is going great.”

She ended her post with the crazy face emoji, revealing exactly how she’s been enjoying being both a mom and a teacher.

Several of Reese’s famous friends weighed in the comments section to poke fun at her expense.  Comedian Mindy Kaling cracked, “Tennessee is a bat now” while actress Selma Blair teased, “This is really enjoyable. Looking.”

Just days before, Witherspoon shared an optimistic post about starting the first day of school with her son.

Posting a photo of Tennessee looking contemplatively at his tablet as he sits at a neatly decorated table full of school supplies, the Oscar winner declared, “Online learning here we come!!”

Considering how things evolved after one week of homeschool, the actress might be staring down a very long but exciting year of teaching a third grader.

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Mike Rosenthal(LOS ANGELES) — Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital is officially open for business again as Grey’s Anatomy will reportedly begin shooting its 17th season this month, according to Variety.

Exactly when the show will begin production is still up in the air, though taping could start in Los Angeles as soon as next week, according to the industry trade.

Production on Grey‘s 16th season was shut down in March as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, shortening the season by four episodes.

A little less than a month ago, Grey‘s star Ellen Pompeo hinted on Twitter that production on the long-running medical drama could “start in a few weeks.”

Grey’s Anatomy would join other ABC shows, including The Goldbergs, A Million Little Things, The Good Doctor and Big Sky, which have already returned to production.
