Morgan Lieberman/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — Drew Barrymore is counting down the days until the premiere of her new talk show, which she made all the more special because her two closest friends, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, will be joining her for the premiere.

Barrymore, 45, told Entertainment Tonight that she agonized over who she wanted to invite onto the The Drew Barrymore Show‘s inaugural episode, likening it to being trapped in a “pressure cooker.” 

Thankfully, she was struck by a bolt of inspiration to invite her former Charlie’s Angels costars and immediately was overwhelmed by emotion.

“It felt so right,” dished Barrymore. “I made them videos where I get on one knee, and I cry in the videos, making, like, a marriage proposal to them.”

As for why she decided to turn her premiere episode into a meaningful reunion, the Emmy nominee admits,  “They’re my girlfriends. I don’t need to be formal, but it just felt like a big deal and really special.”

“[We’re a] tripod and the three little bears that met and became magnets and we’re still here together,” continued Barrymore. “We have experienced life, love, death, birth, loss, gain, we have lived all of the different themes that life has in it, and so we want to explore that on this show.”

Inviting them only seemed natural after that, with Barrymore declaring, “Who else better to do that with than two women I have been doing that with for 20 years?”

Beyond Liu and Diaz, another longtime friend of Drew’s will pop in — her 50 First Dates costar Adam Sandler.  

“Really the first day is almost a love letter from me to them, but I’m really excited about some of the surprises we have planned,” she winked. 

The Drew Barrymore Show premieres September 14 at 10 a.m. ET on ABC.

Mike Windle/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Hindsight is always 20/20 and actress Kate Winslet is coming clean about her regrets.  Most notably, she wishes that she never worked with disgraced filmmakers Woody Allen and Roman Polanski.

“It’s like, what the f was I doing working with Woody Allen and Roman Polanski?,” Winslet, 44, said during a recent interview with Vanity Fair when discussing the #MeToo movement.  “It’s unbelievable to me now how those men were held in such high regard, so widely in the film industry and for as long as they were. It’s fing disgraceful.”

As for why the Ammonite actress is coming forward with those regrets now, it’s because “I’d like to do my best when it comes to setting a decent example to younger women.”  Winslet, while lamenting over the fact that young women are inheriting a very complicated and cruel world, says “I’d like to do my bit in having some proper integrity.”

The Academy Award winner admitted that even though she is still “grappling with those regrets,” she has to “take responsibility for the fact that I worked with them both. I can’t turn back the clock.”

Winslet hopes that by denouncing both Allen and Polanski while accepting responsibility for her past decisions, she will encourage others in her industry to be truthful and take a stand on the right side of history.

Winslet worked with Allen back in 2017, just as the#MeToo movement was gaining traction, for the film Wonder Wheel.  She previously teamed up with Polanski for his 2011 project Carnage.  

Allen was accused by adopted daughter Dylan Farrow of sexually assaulting her when she was seven, which he denies.  Polanski was arrested in 1977 for raping 13-year-old Samantha Geimer.  He fled the U.S. a year later and hasn’t returned since.

Michael Tran/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — Neve Campbell, who played Sydney Prescott, the protagonist in all four Scream movies, will reprise her role in a relaunch of the horror franchise from Spyglass and Paramount Pictures, according to Variety.

Campbell, in a statement obtained by the industry trade, confirmed that the new film will return to the fictional setting of the original Scream movies, Woodsboro, California.

David Arquette and Courteney Cox are also on board, reprising their roles as Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers, respectively, and The Boys‘ Jack Quaid, In The Heights‘ Melissa Barrera and You‘s Jenna Ortega have joined the cast.

The four previous Scream films, all directed by the late Wes Craven, have collectively grossed over $600 million worldwide.

The new Scream movie is slated for a January 14, 2022 release.

Walt Disney Television via Getty Images Photo Archives/Walt Disney Television via Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Disney+ has placed a series order for a female-led reboot of of Doogie Howser, M.D., the dramedy that aired on ABC from 1989-1993, according to Variety.

The new take on the series, which starred Neil Patrick Harris — now titled Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. — will follow Lahela “Doogie” Kamealoha, “a half-Asian, half-white 16-year-old girl with a genius-level intellect who has breezed through college and medical school and is now working as a doctor in Hawaii,” according to the streamer.

The reboot comes from How I Met Your Mother and Fresh Off the Boat veteran Kourtney Kang and is based on her background.  Dayna and Jesse Bochco, the wife and son of Doogie Howser co-creator Steven Bochco, are producing.

“Thirty years ago, a young medical prodigy took the world by storm and left a lasting impact on pop culture,” Ricky Strauss, president of content and marketing for Disney+ said in a statement obtained by Variety. “Kourtney and the team at 20th Television have created a very modern take on this beloved property which will resonate with our global Disney+ audience. We can’t wait to introduce the world to the new Doogie!”

Matthew Simmons/Getty Images for SBIFF(NEW YORK) — Two days after Alec and Hilaria Baldwin welcomed their newborn son, they’re ready to reveal his name. Meet Eduardo!

“We would love to introduce you to Eduardo Pau Lucas Baldwin. Born Sept 8, 2020 at 7:46pm he weighed 7lbs 8oz,” she captioned an adorable Instagram post of the baby boy swaddled in a waffle-knit blanket on Thursday. “His name means ‘wealthy guardian of peace and light.’ We love you baby Edu.” 

The baby name news comes just one day after the 36-year-old mom shared the exciting news that she had given birth. 

“We had a baby last night. He is perfect and we couldn’t be happier,” she wrote on Wednesday. 

Hilaria spilled that she was pregnant in April with an Instagram video that captured the sound of the baby’s heartbeat after she disclosing that she experienced two miscarriages in 2019.

Eduardo is the fifth child for the couple who married in 2012. Together they also have seven-year-old daughter Carmen, five-year-old son Rafael, three-year-old son Leonardo and two-year-old son Romeo. Alec also has a daughter, Ireland, from his previous marriage to Kim Basigner.
