The film starring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson opened in the U.S. and Canada on September 3. Although Warner Bros. touted at $20 million debut, the film actually only brought in $9 million that first weekend between Friday and Sunday, not counting weekday preview screenings and Labor Day. The second weekend saw a 29% drop with a total of $6.7 million across the two markets.

Gathering the box office tallies globally, the film has brought in more than $200 million through ticket sales, with showings available in an additional 100 venues during its second weekend.  

Variety reports that 65-75% of theaters in the U.S. are open with precautions and limited capacity in place, while theaters in such film hot spots as Los Angeles and New York City remain shuttered due to the pandemic.

Tenet, which sees Washington as a CIA agent working to manipulate time in an effort to stop World War III, is the first major studio film to be released during the pandemic. It was originally scheduled for release on July 17, then was moved to July 31 and moved a third time to August 12.

Additionally, Disney’s live action Mulan also pulled in lackluster opening weekend numbers, earning $23.2 million following its Friday debut in China and $37.6 million across the globe, with a production budget of $200 million. Rather than releasing the film in theaters in the U.S., Mulan went straight to Disney+ for $30.

Hall/NBCU Photo Bank(LOS ANGELES) — If you wanted to enjoy the comforts of the iconic Fresh Prince of Bel-Air mansion, you’re in luck.  To celebrate the beloved sitcom’s 30th anniversary, Will Smith is giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to actually spend a night in Uncle Phil’s sprawling home.

The Bel-Air mansion has been listed on Airbnb as “The Freshest Los Angeles Mansion Around,” but is only available for five nights — October 2, 5, 8, 11 and 14 — for $30 a pop.

Smith himself penned the listing, writing, “If this place looks familiar that’s because it’s just as fly as it was when I first rolled up the driveway. I’m back. And this time, I’m handing you the keys so you’ll have my wing of the mansion all to yourself – but my sneaker collection is off limits, aight?”

Smith encourages all renters to “act like you own the place” because it will be “your crib for the night.” 

People who manage to snag a night’s stay will enjoy amenities such as a pool area that’s “great for dips,” an outdoor lounge, dining room and the bedroom Smith himself stayed at.

If that doesn’t sound like heaven, each renter gets hooked up with “a fresh pair of Jordans” so they can play a game of hoops inside Smith’s bedroom.

The Oscar nominee also strongly encourages renters to “do it like my guy DJ Jazzy Jeff so don’t forget your sunglasses!”  The DJ will also virtually welcome all guests.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Smith states that the house will be thoroughly cleaned per CDC guidelines and standards between each visit.  In addition, the listing is only available to residents from the L.A. County area, so those who try to snag a date will need to provide proof of residency.

D Dipasupil/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Rachael Ray is giving her fans an inside look at the devastating aftermath of a fire that occurred at her home last month. 

Over the weekend, the television host and well-known cook shared snippets of her Lake Luzerne, NY home engulfed in flames, as well as the grim ash remnants that remained as a result of the house fire that occurred on August 9.

“This was our bedroom, and our library. And that was our bathroom and our dressing area,” she said in a clip posted to Instagram.

Ray, her husband, John Cusimano, and their dog, Bella, were not harmed in the incident, but the same cannot be said for some of their most sentimental items. 

In a separate Instagram post, she wrote, “On Aug. 9th, my house burned. 15 years of memories; 40 years of notebooks, drawing, thoughts, my life’s work. In the years that I lived here, I learned an awful lot. In the few weeks since it burned, I think I’ve learned even more. Today, we’re going to share what’s left of our home.” 

Last month, a rep for Ray told Entertainment Tonight that the cause of the fire had not yet been determined.

Ray plans to reveal all the details surrounding the incident complete with “never-seen-before personal footage” during the Season 15 premiere of Rachael Ray, which is scheduled for Monday, September 14.

On Sunday, just one day after the reality star announced she would be launching the new line, she took to social media to shut down those who seem to have a problem with it. 

“To anyone who has an issue with maternity solutionwear, and if you haven’t been pregnant before you may not know the struggle of what its like carrying all of this weight the way I did along with millions of strong women,” she tweeted. 

Kim went on to clarify that the purpose of the maternity line is “not to slim but to support.” 

“It provides support to help with the uncomfortable weight being held in your stomach which affects your lower back,” she explained. “And the compression on the leggings helps with pain relief cause by swelling.” 

The post comes after the reality star garnered some backlash over the new collection, notably from activist Jameela Jamil.

Earlier on Sunday, The Good Place star seemingly shaded Kim’s new maternity line.

“It would be so cool if pregnant people could just be allowed to be pregnant and get bigger and not be self conscious, and enjoy the miracle taking place inside their body and not have to worry about feeling embarrassed/shamed that their body is changing for an amazing reason,” she tweeted. 

It’s not all backlash though, Chrissy Teigen, who is currently expecting her third child with husband John Legend, showed support for the new line and rocked two of the pieces in a series of Instagram Stories.   

“Actually pregnant person here,” she stated before explaining why she likes pregnancy shapewear. 

“We would just like to feel good about ourselves in a time where mentally it could be really challenging,” she said.

Jun Sato/WireImage(AUSTRALIA) — Chris Hemsworth not only took advantage of the sunny weather in Australia over the weekend, he also took advantage of a live weather report being shot near him.

During a recent live Weekend Today report from a pasture, the Thor: Ragnarok star was captured on camera casually sauntering up to the field reporter before commandeering her microphone — all while the show’s in-studio hosts Richard Wilkins and Rebecca Maddern hilariously stare in shock from their seats.

“I heard you are looking for some horses. There is a bunch down here,” Hemsworth helpfully pointed out before being challenged to read off the weekend’s forecast.

“I often get teased about not having the best presenting skills or pronunciation, want to help me out?” reporter Lauren Phillips gestured to the Australian actor before handing over her script.

“Let’s mispronounce all of these,” the 37-year-old actor suggested before reading off the local temperatures and offering his own remarks for the unscripted weather report.

After being thanked by Phillips for “[making] my job look very easy,” she broached the question about what possessed the actor to visit a horse pasture in Scone, Australia…of all places.

As it turns out, he was lending a hand to the country’s ongoing conservation efforts.

The four continued to poke fun at each other, with Wilkins announcing that Hemsworth is “booked and we’ll see him same time tomorrow,” which caused Phillips to laugh over supposedly losing her job to the A-list actor.

“I’m only available for the next 35 seconds,” Hemsworth shot back. “Unfortunately, you’re gonna have to keep her.”  He then mollified while tapping Phillips on the shoulder, “Fortunately!  You love your job, don’t you?”

The surprise interview ended with the Men in Black star galloping away with the microphone as Phillips mock galloped behind him.
