Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Here’s an incentive to cast or mail in your ballot for the upcoming presidential election — Samuel L. Jackson promises that, if you prove to him that you’re voting on November 3, he’ll teach you how to swear in 15 different languages.

Jackson’s offer is part of HeadCount‘s Good to Vote campaign, which aims to inspire all eligible voters to register, check their registration and decide how they will be casting their ballot this year — in person or absentee.

Listen up – If 2500 of you click a voting action below to make sure you’re #GoodToVote, I will teach you to swear in 15 different languages,” the Captain Marvel star announced before directing his 8.5 million followers to visit his HeadCount page to enter.

In order to get in the running, one can either check their voting status, register to vote or create a voting plan for November 3.  Winners will be announced at a later time.

Jackson isn’t the only celebrity offering a bold incentive to inspire more people to head to the polls in a few months.  Celebrities like Debra Messing, Kaitlyn Dever and JoAnna Garcia Swisher have their own respective Good to Vote challenges.

HeadCount is a nonpartisan organization and, for its latest outreach effort, teamed up with Global Citizen to ensure every American citizen executes his or her constitutional right to vote in every election.

Reese Witherspoon says she was "terrified" to become a mom at 22

No Comments Entertainment News

Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images for The Hollywood Reporter(LOS ANGELES) — As many first time mothers can attest, preparing for a baby can be extremely daunting.  Actress Reese Witherspoon says her experience was no different when she was expecting her first child.

Appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday, the Oscar-winning actress confessed that her life isn’t nearly as put together as fans might believe.  Her best example she could give was when she was pregnant with her now 21-year-old daughter Ava Phillippe.

“I got pregnant when I was 22-years-old,” Witherspoon began, adding that she was “terrified” at the time.  “I didn’t know how to balance work and motherhood.”

She added that welcoming Ava into the world also cast a shadow of doubt on her burgeoning acting career, confessing that back then, “I didn’t have any real power, leverage within my industry” because she “hadn’t… established myself as someone who could demand” certain things, such as ensuring a movie shoots closer to her child’s school.

“I was just like every other mom trying to figure it out,” admitted the 44-year-old mom of three.

Now that The Morning Show star has found her stride balancing a major career as a movie and television actress alongside raising her three children, she fully embraces the working mom lifestyle.

“You take the food out of your mouth, the clothes off your back, the sleep out of your life — but every bit of it, every bit of that sacrifice is truly worth it,” Witherspoon smiled. “That’s what makes me wake up on a Sunday. It’s not movies or my job.  It’s my kids.”

Witherspoon is the mother of Ava, 21 and Deacon Phillippe, 16 — whom she shares with ex Ryan Phillippe — as well as seven-year-old Tennessee James Toth with husband Jim Toth.

Bella Hadid shows off her "burger bump" in side by side photo with pregnant sister Gigi

No Comments Entertainment News

Noam Galai/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — Pretty soon, supermodel Bella Hadid will be going by a new title — Auntie Bella — when her big sister Gigi Hadid gives birth to a daughter, which is any day now.

It’s no secret that the younger Hadid cannot wait to be an aunt because, on Tuesday, she posted a hilarious throwback snap of the two sisters showing off their vastly different stomachs.

While Gigi is wearing a flowing dress and cradling a very pregnant belly, Bella is photographed lifting up her pink tank top to show off her flat tummy.

“Two buns in the oven,” teased the younger Hadid, adding that the photo was taken on June 11.  “Mine is from my burger and gigi’s is from @zayn.”

However, what really whipped fans into a frenzy is what Bella wrote next in the caption, which instantly sparked rumors that may know something that they don’t.

“Love you both so freaking much -can’tstopcrying,” the 23-year-old concluded, causing her followers to furiously speculate if she was reacting to possible news that the baby has finally arrived.

Gigi, 25, also reacted to the post and left an equally cryptic comment — using four emojis — three grinning faces and one halo emoji.

The pregnancy was first confirmed in April when soon-to-be grandma Yolanda Hadid spilled the beans to a Dutch newspaper, telling RTL Boulevard in her native language, “It’s all very special because I’ve lost my own mother not long ago. That’s the beauty of life, one soul leaves us and another is on its way.”  A day later, Gigi herself confirmed the reports in an interview with Jimmy Fallon.

The baby is reportedly due this month.

Gigi and Zayn were first linked in 2015 and, after a few years of on-and-off dating, rekindled their relationship in January.

Netflix 'Cheer' star Jerry Harris sued for sexual misconduct, denies claims

No Comments Entertainment News

Courtesy of Netflix(TEXAS) — Cheer star Jerry Harris is being sued for sexual misconduct.

According to Deadline, in court documents, which were filed on Monday, a pair of underage Texas twins alleged that Harris both sent sexually explicit messages, requested sexually explicit photos, and solicited one of them for oral sex when they were 13 years old.

Per the outlet, the lawsuit details that Harris, 21, and the twins became friendly in 2018 but it wasn’t until 2020, when the twins’ mother found out about the interactions, that it was reported to the U.S. All Star Federation, Varsity and Cheer Athletics Inc., the FBI, and the Fort Worth Police Department.

A representative for Varsity Brands told ABC News in a statement, “We can’t comment on an active law enforcement investigation; we continue to cooperate with authorities in their inquiries on this matter.”

Meanwhile, a representative for the FBI would only confirm that the organization was conducting “court-authorized law enforcement activity in the area,” and offered no additional comment.

Harris — who became a sensation following the January release of the cheerleading docuseries — has not been charged with a crime and denies the claims.

A spokesperson for Harris told ABC News, “We categorically dispute the claims made against Jerry Harris, which are alleged to have occurred when he was a teenager. We are confident that when the investigation is completed the true facts will be revealed.”

A source close to the situation said the claims made against Harris are not current, and stem from when he was a teenager. The source also told ABC News that no allegations pertain to physical activity, and that the FBI is only investigating Harris’ text messages.

The Texas boys are reportedly seeking $1 million in damages.

Jon Stewart slams Congress for not helping veterans, "It's about money"

No Comments Entertainment News

Paul Morigi/Getty Images(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — Jon Stewart may be a comedian but he’s not joking when it comes to fighting for America’s veterans.

On Tuesday, the television host made a trip to Washington D.C. where TMZ was able to catch up with him and get a deeper understanding of the purpose of his trip.

When asked what he was doing at Capitol Hill lobbying Congress, Stewart responded, “Putting forth a bill to help veterans that were exposed to toxic smoke from burn pits…. now unfortunately they’re sick and dying and the VA is not responding to them.”

“Just trying to get these people that fought for us what they deserve,” he added.

Stewart noted that the bill would be “very similar to the 9/11 bill,” however, it seems one thing is getting in the way of getting the bill passed — money.

“It’s about money. They’re going to pretend that it’s about something else but its all about money,” he said. “The money exists in the defense department, they’re just aren’t allocating it to the right area.”

But don’t think this is a political issue for The Daily Show‘s former host. When asked whether President Donald Trump or Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden would be a better pick to help the cause, he snapped, “This has nothing to do with that.”

“We are four wars behind in taking care of the veterans that have fought them,” he explained. “It has to switch. It has to switch up.”
