Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn star in 'The Christmas Chronicles 2' trailer

No Comments Entertainment News

Netflix(LOS ANGELES) — Netflix has released a teaser for The Christmas Chronicles 2, which sees real-life couple Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn reprising their roles as Santa and Mrs. Claus.

“We’re about to show you something you’ve never seen before,” Hawn narrates in the 30-second clip as a vintage book titled The Christmas Chronicles opens to reveal a snow-covered, enchanted Christmas scene with a massive tree in the town square known as “Santa’s Village.”

Santa then informs the two children who’ve come to visit them, including original character Kate Pierce, that Mrs. Claus was in fact the one who designed it, with Kate suggesting that it should instead be called “Mrs. Claus’ Village.”

“Why I never thought of that,” he replies, to which Hawn quips, “of course he didn’t.”

Hawn made a brief appearance as Mrs. Claus at the end of the original The Christmas Chronicles, which premiered in 2018. Her son Oliver Hudson also had a supporting role as Doug Pierce, the deceased husband of Kimberly Williams-Paisley’s Claire Pierce.

The Christmas Chronicles 2 will debut on Netflix on November 25.

Albert L. Ortega/Getty Images(ATLANTA) — Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan have shared photos of their return to the set of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Like many productions, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was halted in March while shooting in Prague due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But the Disney+ series has since resumed production in Atlanta, with two of its stars posting black-and-white photos to social media showing that they are back to work social distance-style.

Stan turned to Instagram to share a photo of himself taking a photo of his co-star posing thoughtfully against a brick wall. Both of the men are in costume.

“Friends. Social distancing since November ’19,” Stan jokes in the caption.

Meanwhile, Mackie turned to Twitter to showcase the solo shot Stan took of him casting a suave look at the camera in his superhero attire.

“The boyz are back in town! Having fun while social distancing…” he writes.

Mackie and Stan are reprising their roles as Falcon and Winter Soldier, respectively, from the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame.

The series picks up where the film left off after the character of Steve Rogers, portrayed by Chris Evans, gives the Captain America shield to Falcon.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is currently scheduled for release later this year on Disney+.

Disney is the parent company of ABC.

ABC special about 2019 Notre-Dame fire will bring us a "ray of hope," says filmmaker

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC(PARIS) — Wednesday night at 9 p.m ET, ABC airs Notre-Dame: Our Lady of Paris, a documentary about the fire that ravaged the legendary cathedral in April 2019.

It’s told via dramatic, first-hand accounts of the firefighters who saved the structure, as well as the clergy, church administrators and more.

The firefighters are the true heroes of the story, as they risked their lives to keep the cathedral’s nearly 1,000-year-old towers from collapsing.

Producer and director Jules Naudet [shzool naw-DAY] says firefighters are a very special breed: full of “great pride, a great humanity, and a great sense of humor.”

“They are aware of the dangers, but at the same time, this is what they love to do,” he notes.  “No one could have stopped them going up these towers…and they were so proud of saving [the cathedral] and doing it without anyone losing their lives…was not an easy challenge….[it]was a kind of a losing proposition at first.”

As the documentary shows, seemingly all of Paris comes together in support as the firefighters battle the blaze.  It’s something Naudet hopes will be truly inspiring for people to watch.

“We see that they put their lives on the line for something greater than all of us,” he says, adding that he believes “that moment where everyone got together to try to save something that belonged to all of us” will resonate even more at this time in our history.

“That ray of hope that I hope that this documentary will bring to the people is that when we put our heads together and our sweat and our blood…we can achieve anything.”

“It is really the beating heart of Paris, Notre-Dame,” Naudet adds. “It will be rebuilt and, little by little, we’ll get there.”
