Alec Baldwin hints that he is done trying for another daughter; 'Match Game' returns tonight

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Jeff Neira(NEW YORK) — A little over two weeks ago, actor Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria Baldwin welcomed son Eduardo Pau Lucas  into the word.  With four sons and one daughter together, the 30 Rock star hinted that he’s given up on his quest for another little girl.

Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, Baldwin opened up about being a father of six and why Eduardo may be his last child.

However, his wife might not be on the same page.

“I tell people my wife is a collector. Some people collect cars, some people collect watches, artwork. My wife collects babies. She likes babies,” Baldwin deadpanned. “When the baby gets to be 3 years old, when they’re not the vending machine of joy they used to be, we look at each other and say, ‘Time to have another.'”

After producing four boys in a row, the 62-year-old actor says he’s waving the white flag on having another girl.

“I’m not going to keep trying, no, I’m done trying. It’s either going to be fine or my wife’s going to get remarried, one or the other,” he joked.

Tonight, meanwhile, Baldwin returns as host of ABC’s Match Game, which is holding a 58th episode celebration. Why commemorate number 58? Not even Baldwin can fill in the blank on that one.

“Maybe that’s the year I was born, 1958. I dunno,” he tells ABC Audio. “They might’ve told me and I forgot!”

But it’ll be a party nonetheless with celebrity panelists including Jerry Ferrara, Constance Zimmer, Chris Sullivan, Caroline Rhea, Ross Mathews and Dascha Polanco.

Match Game airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.

Kentucky native George Clooney says he's "ashamed" of Breonna Taylor shooting decision

No Comments Entertainment News

Paul Archuleta/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — Kentucky native George Clooney has released a statement in response to the indictment of one of the officers involved in the shooting of Breonna Taylor, saying in part that he’s “ashamed” of the decision.

On Wednesday, Brett Hankisonone of the three Louisville Metro Police Department officers involved in the shooting in Louisville, Kentucky on March 13 that claimed Taylor’s life, was indicted on on three counts of wanton endangerment in the first degree, which is defined as reckless conduct that can lead to bodily harm or death to another person. Neither of the other two officers involved were indicted, and no officer faces charges related to Taylor’s death.

“I was born and raised in Kentucky. Cut tobacco on the farms of Kentucky. Both my parents and my sister live in Kentucky. I own a home in Kentucky, and I was there last month,” Clooney says in a statement obtained by Deadline.

“The justice system I was raised to believe in holds people responsible for their actions. Her name was Breonna Taylor and she was shot to death in her bed by 3 white police officers, who will not be charged with any crime for her death,” Clooney continues. “I know the community. I know the commonwealth. And I was taught in the schools and churches of Kentucky what is right and what is wrong. I’m ashamed of this decision.”

Taylor’s family had requested that criminal charges be brought against the officers involved in the shooting. Taylor was struck at least six times when the officers fired multiple rounds into her apartment.

Wednesday’s announcement follows a $12 million settlement Taylor’s family reached last week with the City of Louisville in a wrongful-death lawsuit Taylor’s mother, Tamika Palmer, filed in April.

Amy Schumer rejoices as son Gene says "mom" for the first time

No Comments Entertainment News

Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — Hearing your child’s first word is exciting, but parents agree that it pales in comparison to being called “mama” or “dada” for the first time.  For Amy Schumer, she was over the moon on Wednesday after her one-year-old son Gene finally uttered those words.

In a special video, the I Feel Pretty star shared the adorable moment when her giggling little one turned around and called her “mom.”

A series of “awws” and clapping breaks out as Amy lunges across the playroom and showers Gene with a series of proud kisses.

“The world is burning but this was a nice moment,” Schumer gushed in the caption.

While most fan and friend reaction was celebratory in nature, fellow comedian Chelsea Handler broke formation by joking that she’s heard Gene say that before — many times.

“He called me Mom 3 times this summer,” Handler teased, to which Schumer revealed that the only reason that happened was “because you kept telling him you were his mom.”

Schumer shares Gene, 16 months, with husband Chris Fischer.  The two revealed earlier this year that they were trying to give their little one a sibling, but put their family planning on hold due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

'Cake Boss' star Buddy Valastro recovering from freak bowling accident that left him with impaled hand

No Comments Entertainment News

Monica Schipper/WireImage(NEW YORK) — An impaled hand sounds like a scene straight out of a horror movie, but Cake Boss’ Buddy Valastro won’t be going near a bowling ball anytime soon.  The acclaimed baker revealed that a “really bad accident” landed him in the hospital.

Posting a photo Wednesday of him in a hospital bed as his heavily bandaged right hand hangs from a sling, the 43-year-old chef told fans he “was involved in a terrible accident a few days ago” before joking, “What do you think of my new accessory?”

Valastro revealed on an Instagram story that the incident happened at his house, but remained mum on what exactly happened.

His representative spoke to People about the reality star’s freak accident, revealing, “There was a malfunction with the bowling pinsetter, a common fix in the past, but it turned into a terrible accident.”

“After trying to release the bowling pin from the cage mechanism, his right hand became lodged and compressed inside the unit,” the representative continued, adding the unsettling detail that the Cake Boss star watched in horror as “a 1-1/2″ metal rod slowly and repeatedly impale[d] his hand three times between his ring finger and middle finger.”

Thankfully, his two sons — Buddy Jr., 16, and Marco, 13 — were able to grab a saw and “cut through the metal rod and relieve [Valastro] from the machine.”

The chef is resting comfortably at home after undergoing two surgeries to save his mangled hand.

The representative didn’t mince words when confirming, “It will be an uphill battle as it’s Buddy’s dominant right hand and he will need prolonged recovery and therapy.”

Valastro is reportedly in high spirits, telling fans “We’re going to get through this together” and wants well wishers to text him at 201-822-9218.
