Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd announces birth of first child with sweet photo

No Comments Entertainment News

Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images for LACMA(LOS ANGELES) — Surprise! Billie Lourd announced Thursday she had welcomed her first child, a son, with fiancé Austen Rydell.

The daughter of the late Carrie Fisher revealed the big news on Instagram, with a photo of her newborn’s tiny feet. The post came as a surprise to fans, as Lourd never publicly announced her pregnancy.

In the caption, the 28-year-old new mom told her 1.4 million followers she and Rydell, 28, had named their bundle of joy Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell.

Kingston is wearing what looks like a space-themed onesie in the snap, so it appears the force is strong with him — after all, both his mom and his grandmother starred in the Star Wars franchise.

Lourd’s Scream Queen co-star Emma Roberts, who is currently expecting her first child, reacted with excitement in the comments, writing, “Screaming!!! Love you guys so much.” Lourd also got a “mazel tov” and a “congrats” from her two Booksmart co-stars, Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever, respectively.

The American Horror Story actress and Rydell got engaged in June.

Katilyn Bristowe gets MRI for injured ankle, says Tylenol and Advil are her "best friends" for 'DWTS' rehearsals

ABC/Frank Ockenfels(LOS ANGELES) — Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe stunned on last Tuesday’s Dancing with the Stars by powering through the foxtrot on an injured ankle, earning the night’s top score.  She hurt herself during practice, but was able to dance thanks to some last minute cortisone shots.

On Thursday, the 35-year-old shared with her Instagram followers that she underwent an MRI for her injury.

Admitting that her best friends are currently Advil, Tylenol and an ankle wrap, Bristowe told fans via Stories that, “Yesterday was kind of a write off for me because I was just in pain and kept my foot elevated and just did nothing all day yesterday.”

The Bachelorette star furthered that she was “so anxious” to go for an MRI because that meant she’d be in the machine for an hour.  “I don’t want to seem like a baby because I know so many people go through injuries on this show, and battle through, and that’s what I want to do,” she attested.

Bristowe updated fans in a later video that the MRI went okay but she “won’t find out the results for a couple of days.”  Until then, she will continue to use her red light therapy machine at home and be mindful of her limitations.

However, that doesn’t mean she’s going to take it too easy because she has a Mirrorball Trophy to win.  Bristowe revealed that she would be going to practice later that night because time was no longer on her side.

Even though she’ll practice with a brace on, Bristowe says she needs to buckle down to “try and pick up the choreography because I only have three days now to learn this dance.”

See if Kaitlyn can pull it off when Dancing with the Stars returns Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

SC Pool – Corbis/Corbis via Getty Images(MONACO) — From Instagram official to red carpet debut, it looks like Rebel Wilson has a new man in her life.

On Thursday, the Pitch Perfect star debuted her rumored new beau, Jacob Busch, in a social media post that showed them boarding a helicopter alongside Kate Beckinsale and Helen Mirren.

“Quick Helen, get to the chopper! #TeamMonaco,” she wittily captioned the post.

Later that day, Wilson and Busch — who is part of the Busch family, founders of the Anheuser-Busch dynasty — appeared on the red carpet together as they attended Prince Albert’s Planetary Health Gala in Monaco.

A source told People, “They are officially boyfriend and girlfriend.”

“He’s a gentleman, has very old school manners and treats her well,” the source continued. “He is also very health conscious and they’ve been motivating each other with their health journeys.”

The insider also shared that the two met through friends last year in Australia and got serious once the actress returned to California, where Busch lives.

Busch previously dated former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Adrienne Maloof, 59, who he had a 28-year age gap with.

'Lovecraft Country''s Jamie Chung talks positive fan reaction to "dream role"

No Comments Entertainment News

Eli Joshua Ade/HBO (NEW YORK) — Lovecraft Country’s latest episode that aired Sunday featured a standout portrayal by Jamie Chung that fans have been buzzing about all week.

She played the mysterious Ji-Ah, a Korean nurse who’s revealed to be the mythical and deadly multi-tailed fox spirit known as the kumiho. Playing the part was a welcomed challenge for Chung, who calls it a “dream role.”

“I prepared so hard for this role,” she tells ABC Audio. “I mean, I speak conversational Korean with my parents, but I’ve never had a Korean role like this where I’m speaking Korean for the entire episode. And, you know, there was dancing and singing involved and really, as an actor, this is kind of like the dream role.”

To have all that hard work pay off with viewers’ positive reactions has been “validating,” she says. Chung says she hopes Lovecraft Country will inspire similar meaty roles for Asian American actors.

“For [the showrunners] to give an opportunity to tell the story of this kumiho and, you know, take the story back to Korea during the Korean War — like, who does that?” she says. “And then the whole episode is going to be in Korean. Like, that is a bold choice.”

She adds, “And yes, these kind of roles — guest star role, by the way — [are] few and far between. So, you know, I do hope that this opens the door for more opportunities for storytellers to go there and for actors to have these kind of opportunities.”

Lovecraft Country airs Sundays on HBO at 9 p.m.

Jeff Daniels says 'The Comey Rules' could be a game changer

No Comments Entertainment News

Ben Mark Holzberg/CBS Television Studios/SHOWTIME(LOS ANGELES) — Jeff Daniels plays former FBI head James Comey in the new Showtime movie The Comey Rule, which debuts Sunday night.

Daniels fought hard to get the film released before election day, and he tells ABC Audio that the film might change some minds.

“I think it could have an impact on the 20 percent in the middle. I’d like to think those people still exist,” he explains.

Adds Daniels, “A lot of them…believe in decency, civility and doing unto others,” and they’re not seeing that from Donald Trump.

The film, which will air in two parts, focuses on Comey’s role in the Hillary Clinton e-mail investigation, and his rocky relationship with President Trump. If you’re a little foggy on the details, Daniels says that’s okay.

“I think what happened will come back to them,” he tells ABC Audio.. “And then like me, if they’re like me, they’re going to find out things that they didn’t know. That the reasons why he did what he did or what he was up against, if he chose to do this versus choosing to do that, the rock and a hard place thing that Comey found himself in.”

So what other things did Daniels discover about Comey?

“I learned how thoughtful he is, that he listens to other opinions different from his own.  That he respects people. All people.  People of color, women,” he says.

“I found him to be smart, but he was guided by something bigger than himself, and he stuck to that and religiously, And that was hard to do, Daniels continues. “He was an apolitical public servant.  At a time when the country is so polarized that to be a political as like to be an alien.”
