Nikki Bella opens up about her struggle with postpartum depression

No Comments Entertainment News

Rodin Eckenroth/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Nikki Bella welcomed a little boy alongside fiancé Artem Chigvintsev of Dancing with the Stars fame two months ago.  While Matteo brought so much joy to the couple, the Total Bellas star revealed that she struggled with postpartum depression.

On the new The Bellas Podcast episode that aired Wednesday, she and sister Brie Bella discussed the “baby blues” that moms experience after birth.

When Nikki’s fiancé started filming Dancing with the Stars, the stress of packing up her house in Phoenix while filming Total Bellas led to a “massive breakdown.”

“I’ve always prided myself that I can fight a lot of things mentally. I’m very strong in that way,” the former pro wrestler confessed to her twin.  “Postpartum has knocked me on my [butt.] This is something that is way different.”

Bella, 36, admitted her breakdown was made worse by her refusing to ask for help, noting that her sister was the “first person who asked me in weeks ‘How are you doing?'”

“I was about to say, ‘Fine,’ and my lips started shaking and I burst into alligator tears. Like, I broke down,” Bella continued. “I wasn’t doing okay.”

She then explained that, after seeing her doctor, she was told new moms can become depressed seven weeks after childbirth, adding that her postpartum depression was a “dark, deep hole” that made her “feel invisible.”

Nikki confided to her fiancé shortly after, to which Chigvintsev told her how devastated he was that she “was feeling all these things” and didn’t tell him.

Bella says their heart to heart led to them improving their communication and making sure they were on the same page when caring for their son.

The Total Bellas stars then advocated for mothers grappling with postpartum depression to reach out and ask for help.

Kris Jenner "vehemently" denies sexual harassment claims after ex-bodyguard sues

No Comments Entertainment News

Christopher Polk/E! Entertainment(LOS ANGELES) — A security guard has filed a lawsuit against Kris Jenner claiming they sexually harassed him and she’s denying the allegations.

In court documents obtained by Page Six, Jenner’s ex-bodyguard Marc Williams is suing her, David Shield Security, Armor Protection Services Inc. and Kourtney Kardashian for sexual harassment, fostering a hostile work environment, racial and gender discrimination and retaliation.

Williams claims that beginning in May 2017 he “became subject to a pattern of unwanted and unwelcome sexual advances and otherwise harassing misconduct” from both Jenner, 64, and his supervisor. He also alleges that he informed Human Resources his complaints were ignored.

He claims he was then “suspended” from working with Jenner and provided services for Kardashian, 41, until he was ultimately “terminated,” the outlet reports.

In a statement to Page Six, Jenner’s attorney, Marty Singer said, “Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian vehemently deny the completely false claims made by former security guard Marc McWilliams. His absurd allegations are clearly fabricated and are contrary to easily confirmed facts. Kris never acted inappropriately toward him.”

“The security company stopped assigning McWilliams to work there after the guard was repeatedly caught sleeping in his car on the job. Significantly, McWilliams never made any complaints to his employer about Kris until contriving this ludicrous claim a year later,” Singer added. “Although Kourtney is named in the suit, she is not accused of doing anything improper, nor did she do so. When Kris and Kourtney defeat this frivolous lawsuit, they intend to immediately sue McWilliams and his attorneys for malicious prosecution.”

Disney+(LOS ANGELES) — From comic books to the big screen — Ms. Marvel will be brought to life by newcomer Iman Vellani for the upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel, Deadline reports.

The series, which will make history as Marvel’s first on-screen Muslim hero, is based on the relatively new comic book character. The story follows Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teen from New Jersey with shape shifting abilities.

Ms. Marvel first appeared on the scene in 2014 as Marvel’s first Muslim character to star in her own title.

In addition to making it to the small screen, when Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige announced the Disney+ series last summer, he also shared that Ms. Marvel will be included in future Marvel films as well.

Although the casting hasn’t been officially confirmed, G. Willow Wilson — who wrote the Ms. Marvel comic — and head writer of the upcoming series, Bisha K. Ali, both made remarks on Twitter.

Ali kept things simple by tweeting the smiling emoji with hearts, while Wilson shared, “I guess this news is out. Congrats, Iman! She is the real deal.”

Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani also took a moment to share his thoughts on the news

Donald Glover reveals he secretly welcomed a son while in quarantine

No Comments Entertainment News

VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Instead of learning to make sourdough bread or whipped coffee, Donald Glover spent quarantine secretly changing diapers and singing lullabies.  That’s because he and partner Michelle White welcomed their third child in May, but decided to keep the good news all to themselves.

That is, until the proud papa let it slip that he is now a father of three during a recent interview with GQ.

“You know, I had [a kid] during the coronavirus,” the Community alum confessed. “It was nuts.”

Glover went onto detail that his son was born around the time George Floyd died while in police custody, which the actor remarked, “My son had just been born, like, an hour before and I was watching the George Floyd video. It was such a weird moment. It was such an intense, weird moment.”

He explained how difficult it was to process the video of Floyd begging with officers that he couldn’t breathe when, just an hour before, “I had just had this amazing, joyful, expanding moment.”

The birth of his son was made even more meaningful because, says Glover, “My dad had passed away recently, so [my son] was named after my father.”

Overall, The Lion King star admitted that he felt a myriad of emotions in the hospital room, detailing that he experienced “the empathy and compassion and the terror and the joy of it.”

However, Glover says he is keeping his thoughts positive as he and his partner raise their third child together.  In fact, they’re already talking about having another.

“My family adopting kids… And we actually have been talking about [it], because we have three boys so I’m like, ‘Oh, it might be nice to be get a girl in there,'” he smiled.

Glover and White, who have been together since 2016, also share sons Legend and Drake Glover together.
