Priyanka Chopra opens up about how she and husband Nick Jonas handled quarantine

No Comments Entertainment News

Steve Granitz/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — Actress Priyanka Chopra is one of many people finally returning to work after COVID-19 quarantine.  As the Evil Eye actress explains, she and husband Nick Jonas had to take extra precautions to protect themselves because of their preexisting conditions.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Chopra, 38, detailed the additional steps she and her husband took to ensure they didn’t contract the novel coronavirus.

“We’ve been very, very safe,” remarked Chopra. “Nick is Type 1 [diabetic] and I’m asthmatic.”

Precautions included being “super careful about who we interact with and how we do it” and also minimizing their exposure outdoors.

Despite spending more time indoors and staying isolated, the Quantico alum refused to see anything but the silver lining by taking all those extra precautionary steps.

“I’ve been doing a lot of developmental stuff and producing a bunch of work,” noted Chopra. “Quarantine has been very, very productive for both me and Nick.”

Now, the Indian actress’ world is being turned upside down again because she’s physically returning to work, which she says is “crazy.”

While she is “excited about going back to set,” Chopra says she will miss the perks of working from home.

“I don’t miss being stuck in traffic and going to meetings,” the Purple Pebble Pictures founder laughed. “I’m actually really grateful to be able to wear sweatpants with, like, a formal shirt and, you know, do an interview.”

Chopra’s newest venture, Evil Eye, is a thriller about a mother who is terrified that her daughter’s new boyfriend is actually an old enemy reincarnated and is available now on Amazon Prime.

Evil Eye — which features an all South Asian cast — is one of the first titles from Chopra’s production banner, which was established with a goal “to influx Hollywood with brown people, because we don’t see enough of us.”

Karamo Brown wouldn't mind being 'The Bachelor' following breakup with fiancé

No Comments Entertainment News

Ryan Collerd/Netflix(LOS ANGELES) — Could Karamo Brown be the next Bachelor?

Well, if it were up to the Queer Eye star, 39, the answer is simple, “Why not?”

“We can go for it. Let’s try it. I would … Why not?” he told Us Weekly on Tuesday. “Let me tell you something: what I’ve learned right now — and I tweeted this the other day — is that dating is a mess.”

Elaborating on just how much of a mess the dating scene is, Brown explained, “Not to be crude or anything, [but] sending inappropriate pics is not a way to ever engage with someone. That’s not universal for ‘hello.’ I don’t know why guys think that’s an appropriate thing to do. So, it’s like, please keep it respectful. You know what I mean?”

“So, if I could just get a whole bunch of great guys in one room and just to, like, go through, sign me up,” he added.

The opportunity to be on a dating show is one that The Real World alum hasn’t had to consider as he was previously in a decade-long relationship with fiancé Ian Jordan. However, last month he revealed that the two split during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“[The wedding] was postponed because of the pandemic, but now it’s actually postponed officially, because my fiancé and I, we were together for 10 years, and we broke up about three and a half months ago,” he said while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“We went to virtual counseling, we did a lot of things,” he added. “But eventually, I was like, this is a moment where I need to decide, is my happiness important? And once I made that decision, I said, you know, we are going to have to break up.”

Gal Gadot on that “Imagine” video: "I had nothing but good intentions"

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Rick Rowell(LOS ANGELES) — Gal Gadot is opening up about the infamous “Imagine” video she released in the early days of quarantine.

In March, the Wonder Woman actress shared a controversial video of herself and other A-list celebrities singing along to John Lennon’s “Imagine.” The clip, which featured appearances from Mark Ruffalo, Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig, Zoë Kravitz, and more, was meant to be inspirational but instead fell flat among many viewers who deemed it insensitive and “out of touch” given that many were sick or struggling while stars were financially secure.

Gadot had remained silent in regards to the backlash but didn’t shy from addressing it during an interview with Vanity Fair

“Sometimes, you know, you try and do a good deed and it’s just not the right good deed,” she reportedly said with a smile and a shrug. “I had nothing but good intentions and it came from the best place, and I just wanted to send light and love to the world.”

“I started with a few friends, and then I spoke to Kristen [Wiig]. Kristen is like the mayor of Hollywood. Everyone loves her, and she brought a bunch of people to the game,” Gadot added. “But yeah, I started it, and I can only say that I meant to do something good and pure, and it didn’t transcend.”
