Decision 2020: What are Donald Trump's and Joe Biden's favorite movies?

No Comments Entertainment News

LMPC via Getty Images(NEW YORK) — While the country anxiously awaits the results of the election, the website MovieMaker.com lowered the heat by digging through some old interviews with President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden to find the answer to a real softball question: what is each candidate’s favorite movie?

Not surprisingly, the candidates didn’t agree: President Trump, in an interview with Movieline in 2012, once pegged the legendary Citizen Kane as his top pick. “It is one of the greats of all time,” Trump said at the time.

“The acting, the story, the production values are all superb. The fact that it was Orson Welles’ first feature film is also impressive…Hard to beat,” he noted.

At the time a reality show star with The Apprentice, Trump also listed The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, Gone With the WindGoodfellas, and The Godfather to round out his top five.

For his part, in an interview with CBS News back in 2008, Biden listed the Oscar winner Chariots of Fire as his top choice. The then-vice president said of the 1981 film, about two runners in the 1924 Olympics, “The thing about it, there is a place where someone put personal fame and glory behind principles. That to me, is the mark of real heroism, when someone would do that.”

Considering he eventually entered politics, which many consider a blood sport, perhaps its no surprise that Mr. Trump was also fond of a certain 1988 martial arts movie: Bloodsport

He told the New Yorker in 1997 that it was, “an incredible, fantastic movie,” though at the time, Trump admitted he knew it was no Citizen Kane, calling it a “ridiculous Jean Claude Van Damme movie,” that he had his sons fast-forward through just to get to the action scenes.

No Comments Entertainment News

L-R – Dave McCary, Emma Stone — Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Emma Stone found love, and reportedly marriage, so is a baby in a baby carriage next? It might be.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight about her upcoming animated film The Croods: A New Age, Stone revealed her thoughts on starting her own “pack” just like the family in the movie.

“I feel pretty good about starting my own pack,” the actress admitted. “Although I don’t think that my pack would be quite as physically capable as the Croods are. …They’re pretty rough and tumble and I don’t know if my pack would be as rough and tumble.”

Though Stone, 31, hasn’t officially confirmed that she’s a married woman, multiple outlets reported that she tied the knot with Saturday Night Live segment director, Dave McCary, 35. The two were first romantically linked in 2017 after meeting on set of SNL in 2016. They announced their engagement in December 2019.

Sofia Vergara shares her mammogram experience with fans

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Jill Greenberg(LOS ANGELES) — Sofia Vergara is letting fans know that some things in life are more important than Election Day.  For women, it’s going for their annual mammogram.

The Modern Family alum took to Instagram on Tuesday to hilariously share her mammogram experience.  As it turns out, she enjoyed hers as much as the next person.

“And just to make today more stressful I went and got my mammogram,” Vergara deadpanned in the caption of the candid snap, where she’s seen rolling her eyes as she waits by the machine.  Although a mask is covering half her face, her expression is abundantly clear: she was not having fun.

Thankfully, her appointment ended with good news as seen in her subsequent hashtag, which stated “#AllGood.”

The 48-year-old Emmy nominee then encouraged her female fans to book their screening appointments if they haven’t already done so, concluding with the hashtag “#DontForgetYours.”

The American Cancer Society strongly recommends all women should start having mammograms once they turn 45, but can seek them out “as early as age 40 if they want to.”

Breast Cancer, according to the ACS, is one of the most common cancers affecting American women — next to skin cancer.

Current statistics find that women in the U.S. have a 1 in 8 chance of developing breast cancer.

In addition, 276,480 American Women were diagnosed with breast cancer last year and an additional 48,530 were diagnosed with the earliest form of breast cancer, carcinoma in situ, or CIS.

Each year, roughly 42,000 women lose their battle with breast cancer.

To date, there are over 3.5 million breast cancer survivors living in the United States.

“In times of unprecedented uncertainty, it’s journalists who are out there, gathering the facts and trying to help us make sense of it all,” Steep said. “By asking tough questions, and pursuing the truth at any cost, they are essential workers – serving the public and protecting democracy.”

The 71-year-old Oscar Award-winning actress added, “That’s why I’m proud to take part in this year’s International Press Freedom Awards, and to continue supporting the vital work of the Committee to Protect Journalists.”
