Amy Schumer put on her "fanciest dress" when getting her COVID-19 shot

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Heidi Gutman(NEW YORK) — For Amy Schumer, getting her COVID-19 shot was an occasion worth dressing up for.  After a year of not having a red carpet to walk on, the Trainwreck star treated her vaccination appointment like a major award show.

Schumer shared the hilarious video montage on Sunday, which starts with her pumping herself up to some music during her rainy car ride to the vaccination clinic.

Once inside, the 39-year-old comedian slipped into a glittery gold number — complete with appropriately placed cutouts on the sleeves where the vaccine would be administered.  During her appointment, she also entertains the workers with a brief stand-up routine before lavishing them with praise.

“I want to thank all the brave people in the medical field,” she wrote in the caption, expressing how much she loves New York and its people. “I feel excited and hopeful. I hope you do too.”

Wearing an award show-worthy dress to her vaccination, as it turns out, is part of a charity movement called “Down to Gown” which benefits Pencils 4 Kids, a global nonprofit that helps deliver school supplies to students in need.

“If you want to join me and support @pencils4kids take a pick [sic] of yourself getting the vaccine in your best suite [sic] or nicest dress,” she encouraged, adding that those interested in getting themselves dolled up for the COVID-19 vaccine should share their photo along with the hashtag “#downtogown.”

The Golden Globe nominee added that, for each picture, talent manager Guy Oseary will donate $5 to Pencils 4 Kids.

Schumer also adds that dressing up for the appointment is a “ice way to show respect to the people working there who understand the enormity of what it is they are doing” — calling them “heroes” and “selfless.”

Sharon Osbourne reportedly getting millions in a settlement after exit from The Talk amid racism controversy

No Comments Entertainment News

Monty Brinton/CBS @2021 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved. (LOS ANGELES) — One source tells Page Six, “Sharon is walking away with a $5 to $10 million minimum payout and was able to spin that it was her decision [to leave The Talk],” and another spy adds that Osbourne wasn’t bound by a non-disclosure agreement on her way out the door.

“Sharon will talk when she is ready. She still wants to give her side of the story. She has been on that show for 11 years and knows all the secrets,” the source explained.

Osbourne blamed the fallout from the segment on the network, claiming she was deliberately ambushed by Underwood at the direction of CBS executives, because CBS produced the Oprah Winfrey interview with Megan Markle and Prince Harry, which Morgan controversially criticized on-air before quitting Good Morning Britain.

In discussing the matter on The Talk, Sharon said of Morgan’s comments that he didn’t believe Markle, “just because he doesn’t like her doesn’t make him racist.” She later apologized on Twitter.

However, as CBS put the show on hiatus to investigate the on-air fireworks, former co-host Leah Remini leveled new accusations against Osbourne, claiming she used gay slurs regarding former co-host Sara Gilbert’s sexuality, and made bigoted comments about former co-host Julie Chen, who is Asian.

Remini’s former co-host, Holly Robinson Peete, also added racial accusations.

In a statement released Friday, CBS announced Osbourne “decided” to leave The Talk, adding that its investigation “concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts…did not align with our values for a respectful workplace.” The network also denied Osbourne’s “ambush” claims.

Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Emma Stone is a mom!  The Cruella star, who never confirmed her pregnancy, welcomed her first child alongside husband Dave McCary.

People confirms the couple, who secretly wed last year, are now the proud parents to a little girl.

However, nothing else is known about their little one.

McCary, who works as a Saturday Night Live segment producer, first met Stone in 2016 when she was hosting the late night sketch show.

The notoriously private couple has largely kept their relationship away from the private eye but publicly announced their engagement in December 2019 on Instagram.  The announcement came just a month after the two confirmed their relationship when walking the red carpet together at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Following reports that the two secretly tied the knot in September, photos of a noticeably pregnancy Stone surfaced online — but representatives for the couple did not respond to requests for comment.

Stone previously hinted that she may be adding another member to her family when promoting the animated film The Croods: A New Age, where she voices main character Eep.

Armie Hammer dropped from 'Billion Dollar Spy' movie amid abuse allegations

/E! Entertainment/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Embattled actor Armie Hammer has been removed from the upcoming Cold War thriller Billion Dollar Spy. The news comes after several women accused Hammer of sexual assault and other disturbing acts.

Variety reports that the Amma Asante-helmed movie, also starring Mads Mikkelsen, was the final movie to sever ties with Hammer, 34.

Hammer’s career came to a halt after two women, including ex-girlfriend Paige Lorenze, came forward in January with serious accusations against him.  After leaking unverified DMs allegedly from her ex, Lorenze claimed the actor harbored fantasies involving cannibalism.  In addition, the 22-year-old claimed Hammer was “obsessed” with the idea of “taking a piece of me…and consuming it.”

Following her claims, a 24-year-old woman named Effie claimed The Lone Ranger star “violently” raped her for several hours on April 24, 2017 and believed he was going to kill her.

An attorney for the actor countered with lewd texts from the alleged victim, in which Hammer appears to spurn her advances. The attorney added, “From day one, Mr. Hammer has maintained that all of his interactions with [the accuser] —  and every other sexual partner of his for that matter — have been completely consensual…and mutually participatory.

Hammer denied the accusations from both women and opted to step down from two projects: Shotgun Wedding, starring Jennifer Lopez, and an upcoming series titled The Offer, which about how The Godfather was made.

Billion Dollar Spy was the last project on Hammer’s plate — all remaining project he’s attached to have already wrapped production.

In addition, the Call Me By Your Name actor was dropped by talent label WME

Representatives for the actor and movie studio Walden Media have not responded to requests for comment.

Jessica Simpson reveals she tested positive for COVID-19

No Comments Entertainment News

John Shearer/Getty Images for Jessica Simpson Collection(LOS ANGELES) — Jessica Simpson has revealed the lot over the last year, the latest being that she’s tested positive for COVID-19.

The 40-year-old singer made the admission in an Instagram post on Monday where she debuted the cover for her new Amazon Original Stories essay Take the Lead.

“This is the cover of my new Amazon Original Stories essay on self-acceptance, parenthood and overcoming fear called…TAKE THE LEAD,” she wrote in the caption. “We have all been handed challenges and fears in our lives that, at times, felt like too much to overcome. This past year has been especially intense for me and so many of you.”

Simpson then revealed that she began writing the essay, which is due out April 29, the same day that she tested positive for COVID-19. It’s unclear what that date was, though.

“I decided instead of being driven by fear, I would manifest a hopeful conversation with you,” she shared. “I felt strong, resilient, and God-inspired through my pen teaching me as I was sharing with you ways to get to the other side of fear.”
