'Teen Wolf' star Arden Cho says she was victim of racist attack: "I'm still shaking"

No Comments Entertainment News

Mike Pont/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — (NOTE LANGUAGE, CONTENT) Teen Wolf star Arden Cho revealed in an emotional post that a man threatened to kill her while she was out walking her dog.

Cho, who played Kira Yukimura in the popular MTV drama, took to Instagram to beg her followers to “please help” the Asian community, which is grappling with a sharp increase of becoming victims of hate crimes.

In a black and white infographic, Cho started off the post by revealing what her would-be attacker allegedly screamed at her, which was “I’m going to motherf***ing kill you ch*** and your f***ing dog.”

“This along with other obscenities were screamed at me when I was outside walking with my dog last night.  I haven’t been this scared in years, he was a couple feet away & started coming toward me,” the 35-year-old actress recalled. “I grabbed Chewy and ran as fast as I could.”

Cho said she is “still shaking” because of the incident and explained that, in the wake of the increased attacks against Asian Americans, she stopped running at night.

“I still have to walk my dog, so I carry a knife when we go out at night,” she admitted. “I know how to fight but I still don’t feel safe.”

Despite her health and physical fitness, Cho lamented, “I shouldn’t be scared but I am.”

The Honor List star also revealed that she was attacked when she was a child, saying she was 10 when she was “kicked in the face till I was unconscious and hospitalized.”

Cho touched upon the trauma of watching “our elders get beaten & killed” and made a direct plea with her fans, begging, “Please, please #StopAsianHate I can’t breathe.”

Anti-Asian hate crimes have increased in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, reports Stop AAPI Hate.

Michael Strahan reveals he didn't close his tooth gap after all: "April Fools!"

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Heidi Gutman(NEW YORK) — Good Morning America host Michael Strahan found out just how much his fans love his signature tooth gap.

The former NFL star ignited concern from his fanbase earlier this week when he suddenly announced that he was closing the gap between his two front teeth.  The decision whipped fans into a frenzy, who pleaded with Strahan to reconsider.

The athlete appeared unfazed by the petitions and even went as far as sharing a video supposedly showing the gap-closing procedure being done — but, the truth came out on Thursday.

The media personality confirmed it was all an elaborate April Fools’ Day prank.

Strahan made the big reveal in one final “#GoodbyeGap” update to thank fans for their support, which began with him sitting outside while wearing a face mask.

“I appreciate all the comments. I was surprised, to be honest with you, at how many people were like,’No, don’t get rid of the gap! It’s your signature,'” the 49-year-old started off. “I didn’t know so many people cared.”

The former New York Giants defensive continued, “I appreciate all the love for the gap and I’ve had it for almost 50 years now… I know it was a shocker to see it gone!”

He closed out with some final words of wisdom to followers, stating, “Be you. Live the way you wanna live. Do what makes you happy, because I did and I am happy that I did it.”

Then, after triumphantly pulling down his mask, he declared with a laugh, “April Fools! Come on, man! The gap is here to stay!”

Strahan also credited the one person who made sure the gap stayed intact, saying, “My momma likes it so… for you, mama.”

No Comments Entertainment News

Courtesy of WarnerMedia(LOS ANGELES) — Godzilla vs. Kong marked one of the biggest opening day totals of the COVID-19 era on Wednesday, delivering an estimated $9.6 million.

The fourth installment in the Legendary Entertainment’s monster universe, following in the steps of GodzillaKong: Skull Island and, most recently, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, debuted in 2,409 theaters on Wednesday and will expand to 3,064 venues by Friday.  The widest opening pandemic-era prior to this weekend was Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, which played in 2,810 locations.

Godzilla vs. Kong was initially expected to deliver upwards of $20 million over the extended weekend, but at its current pace, may very well pass that number.

The film is expected to score the biggest debut domestically since COVID-19 hit last March, and the biggest of 2021.

All in all, it’s been a big year for Warner Bros., whose animated feature Tom and Jerry had the biggest opening weekend of the year so far with $14 million.

Likewise, the studio’s Wonder Woman 1984, which premiered in December, had the biggest opening of the pandemic with $16.7 million.

Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Brian Tyree Henry and Rebecca Hall.

'Legion' star Dan Stevens replaces Armie Hammer in Watergate drama 'Gaslit'

No Comments Entertainment News

Visual China Group via Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Dan Stevens, veteran of Disney’s hit Beauty and the Beast live-action film and recently seen in FX’s Legion, is replacing embattled actor Armie Hammer in the Watergate drama Gaslit

Variety reports Stevens will now play John Dean, President Richard Nixon’s former attorney, in the project, which is about the lesser-known players involved in the 1970s scandal that eventually destroyed the Nixon presidency.

In February, it was announced that Hammer would be re-cast in the Starz drama, which will also star Sean Penn and Julia Roberts.

Hammer has weathered multiple accusations of assault and the publication of salacious DMs allegedly sent by the star from one of his accusers. His attorney denied all claims against the actor, recently declaring, “Mr. Hammer has maintained that all of his interactions with [the accuser] —  and every other sexual partner of his for that matter — have been completely consensual…and mutually participatory.”

Since the accusations came to light, Hammer stepped away from the project Shotgun Wedding, with Jennifer Lopez, and a series called The Offer, about the making of The Godfather.

He was also recently dropped from the Cold War thriller Billion Dollar Spy, which will star Mads Mikkelsen.

ABC/Liane Hentcher(LOS ANGELES) — Lauren Graham, Gilmore Girls matriarch and current star of Disney+’s The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, has a problem with her neighbor, Dax Shepard.

Shepard and his wife Kristen Bell are apparently renovating their home, Graham vented on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and in the meantime, gearhead Shepard “basically took…the front lawn, and turned it into a massive driveway for all of his cars.”

What’s more, the family is apparently camping out in, “the most massive band tour bus you’ve ever seen.”

“He’s out of his mind,” Graham vented, laughing. “Andy they’re never getting rid of it, Jimmy. He bought that.”

She also adds, “he rides around like topless on his motorcycle. You have to just love him. Like a brother.”  Graham played Shepard’s sister in the TV series Parenthood

You can’t change your family — even your TV family.
