ABC/Tyler Golden(WASHINGTON D.C.) — Chrissy Teigen is embracing the sober life. The model, mom, cookbook author and wife of John Legend posted some Inauguration Day love to fans Wednesday, in which she describes how keeping her promise to abstain from alcohol has changed her life.
Ahead of Legend’s performance as part of the Inauguration Day events in D.C. yesterday, Teigen posted some beautiful family snaps of the historic sites, and explained, “just incredible to be here. sober. I know that’s weird but it’s like…a different world for me. everything is new and better.” In early January, Teigen revealed she’d been “four weeks sober,” and reiterated past struggles with booze.
She capped her most recent message with a sarcastically Trumpian, “very happy. the most happy bigly happy”. Teigen had been an outspoken critic of the former president throughout his four years in office, and the pair often traded barbs on social media.
Trump blocked Chrissy on his ultimately suspended Twitter account, leading her to ask President Joe Biden: “hello @joebiden I have been blocked by the president for four years can I get a follow plz”.
“Avengers: Infinity War” – Marvel Studios(LOS ANGELES) — Tom Holland revealed just how many hoops he had to swing through in order to become the next Spider-Man. In the end, he says, he found out he got the part same as every Marvel fan — through a Google search.
Speaking with Black Panther alum Daniel Kaluuya for Variety, the Spider-Man: Far From Home star opened up Wednesday about his big break.
“The audition process was horrible. It was seven months worth of auditioning. I must’ve done six auditions and… they don’t tell you anything,” confessed Holland. “You’re waiting and waiting and waiting, and then, eventually, I got a screen test in Atlanta.”
Holland recalled he tested against six other actors for a scene with Robert Downey Jr., as Tom’s first appearance in the suit was to be Captain America: Civil War, “and it went so well. It was the best audition I’ve ever done.”
“On the first take, Downey just completely changed the scene so we started riffing with each other,” the 24-year-old actor described, explaining that his agents directed him beforehand to stick to the script.
Six weeks went by without any updates before he was called back for a “fight test” against Chris Evans, which he also said went extremely well. However, the studio went quiet again and Holland began to think he didn’t win the part.
As for how he found out he was, in fact, the next Spider-Man, the Cherry actor confessed he found out when he googled Marvel and came across an article introducing him as the new Peter Parker.
“I broke my computer! Cuz I, like, flipped it up in the air [and it] fell off my bed,” he laughed, saying that shortly after shouting the good news to his family, Sony called to offer him the gig.
“It was crazy,” said Holland. “I found out online, the same way everyone else did!”

Netflix(FLORIDA) — Controversial Tiger King star and former Dancing with the Stars contestant Carole Baskin was not surprised that her nemesis Joe Exotic did not receive the last-minute presidential pardon as he hoped.
The former Oklahoma zoo owner, real name Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage, is currently serving a 22-year sentence for his murder-for-hire plot, where the prosecution claims he paid Allen Glover $3,000 to eliminate Baskin.
He also was convicted of illegally euthanizing five tigers and selling tiger cubs, which defies federal wildlife laws, as well as falsifying records.
Speaking to Buzzfeed News, Baskin expressed relief that the man who wants her dead will remain behind bars.
“I think only Joe’s team and the media were ever even thinking about a pardon for Joe,” said the big cat advocate, who had no love for the so-called Tiger King.
“There is no benefit, other than a feeble attempt to deflect attention, for anyone to pardon someone who walked up to five tigers and shot them in the head in order to clear cage space for the circus, who was going to pay him to board their tigers during the offseason,” she continued. “Tigers are the world’s favorite animal and Joe Schreibvogel Maldonado Passage is right where he belongs: in a cage.”
Reports that Exotic’s legal team was entreating the former president for a pardon surfaced last spring and gained traction when Donald Trump joked he would pardon the 57-year-old Netflix star for the memes “and just for frankly watching the media reaction to this thing.”
Terence Patrick/CBS via Getty Image(LOS ANGELES) — Armie Hammer’s most recent online scandal has drawn the interest of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.
The Lone Ranger star spoke to police on Friday over a provocative video of a scantily clad woman, captioned “Miss Cayman,” the New York Post confirmed on Wednesday.
“On January 15, 2021, the RCIPS received an allegation of misuse of ICT in relation to a suggestive video which had been posted on social media,” police told the newspaper in a statement. “Officers investigated the matter and spoke to the suspect, who was warned about his conduct, in accordance with the wishes of the complainant.”
Hammer was not brought into police custody or arrested, and the case is now closed.
The official Miss Cayman organization later distanced itself from the woman in the video, saying it was “disturbed” by the clip.
The 34-year-old actor later apologized in a statement to the Cayman Compass newspaper.
“I would like to clarify that the person in my video, which was stolen from my private Instagram, is not Miss Cayman,” the actor said, adding, “I am genuinely sorry for any confusion my foolish attempt at humor may have caused.”
