Sony Music NashvilleLuke Combs is offering fans a preview of a new track on his upcoming deluxe album.
The country superstar shared a teaser of “My Kinda Folk” on social media, a song that celebrates those who work hard and play hard.
Set inside the barn on his Tennessee property, Luke raises a glass to his kind of people, the ones who get rowdy on the weekend yet are ready for the work week come Monday.
“There outta be a law/Against working this hard/And still having this much fun/We get it done/Drink a beer/Catch a fish/Hunt a deer/And then we’ll fire up a little smoke/Me and my kinda folk,” Luke sings over a swampy acoustic guitar.
“My Kinda Folk” is one of five new bonus tracks featured on What You See Ain’t Always What You Get, the deluxe edition of Luke’s groundbreaking 2019 sophomore album, What You See Is What You Get. It drops on October 23.
Capitol Records Nashville Mickey Guyton finds hope in the chaos in the video for her thoughtful song, “Heaven Down Here.”
In the all-encompassing clip, Mickey captures sobering shots of empty classrooms and stadiums, damaged homes from natural disasters, and a doctor dressed in PPE.
There’s an aerial shot of quiet city streets that are later filled with protestors, the camera focusing in on a sign that reads “love not hate,” as Mickey uses her powerful voice to tell a higher power, “we could use a little more heaven down here.”
The video ends with a series of uplifting images, ranging from a young girl running freely through an open field as she flies a kite to majestic horses galloping through the ocean.
“Heaven Down Here” is Mickey’s current single off her latest EP, Bridges. She’s set to perform the track during the CMT Awards on October 21, airing at 8 p.m. ET.
Tristan CusickMitchell Tenpenny has raised more than $20,000 for his organization, 10Penny Fund, to support people who are battling cancer.
The “Drunk Me” singer recently hosted a livestream concert and a pair of live shows at the Listening Room Cafe in Nashville where he performed alongside fellow songwriters Andy Albert, Ernest, Meghan Patrick and Dallas Wilson in benefit of the 10Penny Fund.
The events raised $23,895.47, including a $2,000 donation from Chris Young and a $10,000 match from the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, Mitchell’s partner with the 10Penny Fund. The singer launched the fund in 2018 to offer programs and support for those fighting cancer, along with their loved ones.
The cause is personal for Mitchell, as his father, James Mitchell Tenpenny, passed away from cancer in 2014. Mitchell’s father serves as the inspiration behind his song, “Walk Like Him,” featured on the country star’s 2018 debut album, Telling All My Secrets.
Mitchell’s current single, “Broken Up,” dropped earlier this year and will be featured on his forthcoming album.

The achievement also makes the country star the only female with top 10 country albums in each of the last seven decades — second overall to Willie Nelson.
A Holly Dolly Christmas is the 74-year-old’s third holiday album and includes collaborations with Michael Bublé, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon, and more.
BBR Music Group; ABC/Craig SjodinTypically, you’ll find Granger Smith onstage, while his manager and brother, Tyler Smith, is busy working in the background. Tonight, however, the tables turn, as Tyler steps into the spotlight at one of 31 bachelors romancing Clare Crawley on season 16 of The Bachelorette.
Even though Granger’s previously performed on the show, the Texan admits he’s only been a casual watcher.
“I have seen a few episodes, been passing [through],” he tells ABC Audio. “My wife used to watch it quite a bit.”
“So I would come in,” he continues, “and it was one of those shows where you just kind of stop and you go, ‘Why are they doing that? Why? Why is he saying that? That’s not real. There’s no way he feels that way or she thinks that.'”
While Tyler connected with Bachelorette producers during Granger’s 2018 guest appearance, you won’t see the “Backroad Song” hitmaker sharing screen time with his brother.
“I’m not on this season…” Granger reveals. “I’m pretty sure there’s not any musicians that came because of COVID. They were so strict on who they’ve brought in.”
“They quarantined Tyler here in Texas,” he adds, “and they quarantined him in California, and they tested every day. I just don’t think they brought anybody outside in.”
Granger confesses he and Tyler had a heart-to-heart before filming began.
“We had a long talk at the beginning, that, ‘Hey, Tyler, this is an experience for you. This is a lifetime experience that you should just open up to fully and drop all expectations and go in like it’s a really cool vacation.’ And that’s what he did.”
“It was quite the experience. I’ll put it that way,” Granger laughs.
You can watch Tyler on The Bachelorette tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
