ABCCarrie Underwood will make an appearance at the 2021 Latin American Music Awards, joining David Bisbal for the first-ever television performance of their duet, “Tears of Gold.”

The epic, up-tempo tune is Carrie’s first foyer into the world of international pop. It’s also her first bilingual song. “Tears of Gold” came out in December of 2020, and its corresponding music video was shot in Los Angeles.

“…I love Carrie and truly admire her courage,” David said of the experience of working with the country superstar. “She has shown a profound admiration for the Spanish language with her wonderful vocals on the track and I am honored to collaborate with Carrie on her first bilingual Spanish song.”

Carrie’s upcoming appearance at the Latin AMAs marks one of a number of firsts for the singer. Her 2020 project My Gift was her first-ever Christmas album, and on Friday, she’ll follow it up with her first-ever gospel project, My Savior.

Also performing during the 2021 Latin AMAs are Ricky Martin, Anitta, Juanes, Pitbull and many more. The show will broadcast from Sunrise, Florida on Thursday, April 15 at 7PM ET on Spanish-language network Telemundo.

“Break it Kind of Guy”: Eric Church previews another new song off his 'Soul' album

No Comments Country Music News

ABCBefore he rolls out his triple album, Heart & Soul, in April, Eric Church has been gradually offering fans new songs off the project. This week, he returns with “Break it Kind of Guy,” one of the tracks on his Soul album.

That project also contains previously-released songs such as “Bad Mother Trucker” and Eric’s single, “Hell of a View.”

As always, Eric’s Church Choir fan club gets the first listen to the new track. The Church Choir can listen to “Break it Kind of Guy” and watch its lyric video now, while the general public will have to wait until Friday.

Meanwhile, Eric also recently sat down with Garden and Gun for an intimate interview that took place on his Nashville-area property. As part of the conversation, Eric recalled writing the 24 tracks that appear on his upcoming triple album, a process that he remembers as “manic.”

“Every little thing became a song,” he says. At the time, Eric and his crew were holed up in a makeshift recording studio in the North Carolina mountains, knees deep in a weeks-long intensive writing and recording retreat.

“I couldn’t turn it off. There were times when I didn’t sleep for days,” he adds of that time.

Since that month he spent in the mountains, Eric says, he hasn’t written any new music. That doesn’t worry him, though: He’s counting on eventually drawing inspiration from being in nature, away from the bustling crowds of Music City.

“The seclusion has been good for my career. I’m not a big people guy. You’re a mile from any road, and that works for my personality,” he adds.

Kenny Chesney readies 'Here and Now Deluxe,' adding four new songs to the track list

No Comments Country Music News

Warner Music NashvilleKenny Chesney might not be able to hit the road and see his fans in person in 2021, but that doesn’t mean he can’t deliver some surprises. The singer has revealed plans for a deluxe edition of his Here and Now project, which will feature four brand-new songs.

Those songs are titled “Fields of Glory,” “My Anthem,” “Streets” and “Wind On,” the latter of which was co-written by “Dust on the Bottle” star David Lee Murphy. Kenny had a hand in co-writing “Streets.”

The new music, which will round out the twelve songs already on Here and Now, was inspired by Kenny’s time spent in quarantine, the singer explains.

“Being home, writing with friends, recording with people who inspire you — This time has taught me to really be in the moment, to share more music,” Kenny reflects. “Some of these songs will spark an immediate hunger for things we all love; some of them I think people will think about for days and days after they hear them.”

Here and Now Deluxe will arrive on May 7, but you can pre-order it beginning Friday.

In the meantime, Kenny’s “Knowing You,” the fourth single off of Here and Now, is currently climbing the country radio charts.

ABCAhead of the release of her single “You All Over Me (From The Vault),” ABC’s Good Morning America got an exclusive sneak peek at Taylor Swift‘s song featuring Maren Morris.

The song, which drops Friday, features Morris singing background vocals.

“You All Over Me” is one of six new songs that Swift wrote in 2008, but never recorded. They’ll be included in the rerecorded version of her album Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

The Grammy winner announced the release of “You All Over Me” on social media Wednesday.

“One thing I’ve been loving about these From The Vault songs is that they’ve never been heard, so I can experiment, play and even include some of my favorite artists,” Swift wrote on Twitter. “I’m really excited to have Maren Morris singing background vocals on this song!!!”

This isn’t the first time Morris and Swift have sung together.  In 2018, the two performed Morris’ hit song, “The Middle,” while on Swift’s Reputation tour in Dallas.

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) will be released next month.
