"I made a lot of people mad" – Nick Cannon teases conversation with rabbi on an upcoming episode of his podcast

No Comments Entertainment News

Noam Galai/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Nick Cannon took to Instagram on Monday to share part of a conversation with a rabbi he plans to air on an upcoming episode of his podcast and YouTube series Cannon’s Class.

“I made a lot of people mad,” The Masked Singer host tells Rabbi Abraham Cooper in the clip. “[I made] your community mad, I made my community mad by apologizing.”

Cooper interrupts by saying that the question his community asks regarding Cannon’s apology is whether it’s sincere. Cannon then asks the Rabbi if he believes that he’s being sincere, to which Cooper replies, “At this point, yes.”

“Hate,” says Cannon, is “an energy,” adding that he “doesn’t have a hatred for any group of people…specifically the Jewish people,” because he feels a connection between the two communities.

Cannon has been facing serious backlash following anti-Semitic comments he made during a June episode of Cannon’s Class.

Cannon gave no indication of when the episode will air, aside from the caption, “Coming soon…”

Sam Hunt celebrates his seventh no.1 by reeling in impressive Tennessee striper

No Comments Country Music News

Connor DwyerIt’s a big deal when one’s music tops the charts, but when Sam Hunt has a certified hit on his hands, he has a somewhat unconventional way to give himself a pat on the back.

Instead of posting to social media or cutting into a cake, Hunt picked up his tackle box and pole to hit the shores for some celebratory fishing.  Easy to say, he didn’t go home empty handed, either.

“Thanks to everybody who helped make Hard to Forget #1!!,” The 35-year-old wrote on Monday while sharing a photo of him hoisting up his impressive prize. “Celebrating with some early morning Tennessee Stripers.”

Fans were quick to marvel over the size of his catch and offer tips on how to cook it up for a celebratory meal.

Hard to Forget” is The CMA Award winner’s latest addition to the top of the charts, officially besting Luke Bryan‘s “One Margarita” atop the Billboard country airplay chart for this week.

The song is officially Hunt’s seventh no. 1 hit, joining previous successes “Take Your Time,” “House Party,” “Make You Miss Me,” “Leave the Night On,” “Kin-Folks” and “Body Like a Back Road,” the latter of which earned him two Grammy nods for Best Country Song and Country Solo Performance in 2018.

“Hard to Forget” is the second single off Hunt’s sophomore album SOUTHSIDE.

Hayden Panettiere's ex Brian Hickerson pleads not guilty to domestic violence charges

No Comments Entertainment News

gotpap/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images(LOS ANGELES) — Brian Hickerson, the ex boyfriend of former Nashville star Hayden Panettiere, has pleaded not guilty to eight counts of domestic violence against the actress.

Hickerson, who was with Panettiere for a year and a half, was arrested last week on charges ranging from felony assault to domestic violence and witness intimidation, according to court paperwork obtained by ABC News.

He pleaded in a Los Angeles courtroom Friday, where he was given a court date of July 30 to address the case further.

The source added that in the past, Panettiere reported to police multiple instances of “extreme domestic violence” by Hickerson during their year-and-a-half relationship.

“I am coming forward with the truth about what happened to me with the hope that my story will empower others in abusive relationships to get the help they need and deserve,” Panettiere told Good Morning America in a statement after last week’s arrest. “I am prepared to do my part to make sure this man never hurts anyone again.”

She added, “I’m grateful for my support system, which helped me find the courage to regain my voice and my life.”

The actress’ attorney, Alan Jackson, added that Panettiere was “for years … the victim of psychological, emotional and severe physical abuse.”

“Hayden has found the strength and courage to share the truth about her abuse and her abuser,” Jackson said in a statement. “As a survivor, she recognizes that her arduous journey of healing has just begun.”

A source close to the actress told GMA that Panettiere has been in treatment for alcohol abuse issues and this is a part of that recovery process.

This isn’t Hickerson’s first run-in with the law regarding his former girlfriend. In May 2019, he was arrested on a domestic violence charge and released on bail.

(NEW YORK) — Roy Den Hollander, whom the FBI called the “primary subject” in the shootings at Judge Esther Salas’ home in New Jersey may have been targeting at least one other female judge.

After investigators searched the car in which Hollander was found dead of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound they also discovered the name and photo of New York State’ Chief Judge Janet DiFiore, her spokesman told ABC News.

“We were alerted that her photo and name were in his recovered effects,” said the spokesman, Lucian Chalfen, conforming a detail first reported by the New York Times.

Hollander is suspected of shooting and killing Salas’ son as well as her husband in an attack at the family’s New Jersey home on Sunday night. He allegedly wore a face covering and a FedEx uniform, law enforcement sources told ABC News, and he used an ordinary car to make a getaway. Salas’ husband, Mark Anderl, is alive and recovering at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Hollander’s body was discovered in a car by a municipal employee in the town of Rockland, New York. He died of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound, the sources said. New York State Police were on scene and the FBI was called.

The suspect had previously received media attention for lawsuits challenging perceived infringements of “men’s rights,” on networks like Fox News, Comedy Central and MSNBC.

Meanwhile, the FBI is also investigating whether Hollander may be connected to the death, in California, of another attorney who also describes himself as anti-feminist, Mark Anglelucci, according to law enforcement sources.
