No Comments Entertainment News

Melinda Sue Gordon/© 2021 Netflix Inc.(LOS ANGELES) — The new trailer for the star-studded thriller The Woman in the Window just dropped, and It. Is. Creepy.

Oscar winner Amy Adams leads an all-star cast, which includes fellow Oscar winners Gary Oldman and Julianne Moore, Oscar nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tony winner Brian Tyree Henry, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier co-stars Anthony Mackie and Wyatt Russell.

In the film, Adams plays a woman suffering from a variety of anxiety issues, including agoraphobia, the fear of leaving her home. She befriends a mysterious woman played by Moore, who lives across the street, but after a night of drinking with her, Adams’ character hears a scream and spies through her window the woman being stabbed to death.

She summons the police, only to have the prime suspect, the victim’s well-connected husband, come with…a different woman he claims is his wife.

Adams’ character spirals into paranoia as she’s the only one who believes what she saw — and she learns someone wants to kill her to keep her quiet.

The film, which was supposed to come out in 2019, is now debuting on Netflix on May 14, 2021.

"We're not in character": David Schwimmer spills details about next week's 'Friends' reunion

No Comments Entertainment News

Warner Bros. Television(LONDON) — In an interview on The Graham Norton Show that airs on our shores Friday night on BBC America, David Schwimmer spilled a bit of tea on the upcoming Friends reunion.

The actor confirmed the long-delayed show is shooting next week in Los Angeles, and more than any of his other co-stars have, gave some solid details.

Long story short, don’t expect to see Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, and Joey as you knew them.

“I’ll be myself. I’ll be David,” Schwimmer said of the unscripted special. “We’re not in character…we’re all ourselves, the real people.”

However, he added a cryptic caveat, “But there is one section, I don’t want to give away — where we all read something.”

Norton asked Schwimmer if he’s studied up on the show, which wrapped up in 2004, in preparation for the event.

“You know, It’s really funny. I should have been doing that,” Schwimmer replied, to laughs. “And I really have very little excuse. But I haven’t been able to bring myself to catch up on the 236 episodes.”

Schwimmer laughed, “I guess I need to watch a lot over the next five days.”

The Friends reunion special will air later this year on HBO Max.

Tom Holland to star in, produce, the mental illness series 'The Crowded Room' for Apple TV+

No Comments Entertainment News

Photo: Nikki Holland(LOS ANGELES) — Less than a month after his film Cherry debuted on Apple TV+, Tom Holland has signed onto another project for the streaming service.

Titled The Crowded Room, the series will be an anthology centering on mental illness. Holland will play Billy Milligan, the first person to ever be acquitted of a crime because he suffered from Dissociative Identity Disorder, which was known then as Multiple Personality Disorder.

Milligan was indicted for a string of rapes and kidnappings in 1977 but ultimately acquitted, after claiming he had 24 personalities living inside him. The court at the time found he committed the crimes but wasn’t responsible for them. Having avoided prison thanks to the successful defense, Milligan spent his life at a psychiatric hospital in Ohio, where he died in 2014.

Holland’s ten-episode first season of The Crowded Room will be based on Daniel Keyes 1981 non-fiction novel The Minds of Billy Milligan. Holland will also produce the series, which was created by A Beautiful Mind‘s Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman.

"'Black Adam' ready": The Rock says DC superhero pic prod starts this week, and proves he doesn't skip leg day

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Randy Holmes(LOS ANGELES) — In a sweaty picture snapped in what he always refers to the “Iron Paradise,” his massive home gym, a super-jacked Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed production his DC superhero flick Black Adam “kicks off this week.”

Johnson’s photo proves that unlike some, he won’t need any CG embellishments to play the supernaturally-strong, god-like titular anti-hero. To put it plainly, his leg muscles could have their own zip code.

“Black Adam ready,” Johnson captioned the pic, adding, “It’s always the work we quietly put in when no one is watching that changes the game,” and “Grateful for the grind,” along with the hashtags #BlackAdam,
#DCUniverse, and #ChangeTheGame.”

He closed it with, “Production kicks off this week.”

Black Adam, which also stars Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, is expected in theaters in the summer of 2022.
