Bertrand Rindoff Petroff/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — After reportedly splitting with her boyfriend John Miller after nearly two years of dating, Jennifer Garner spent Wednesday chilling on a Malibu beach with her longtime friend and former Alias co-star Bradley Cooper, according to The New York Post.
A photo of the couple shows a shirtless Cooper sporting a man bun and red swim trunks, while Garner, wearing a sweater and skirt, made herself comfortable in the sand.
Cooper’s three-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk, was reportedly there as well.
A source, however, tells the newspaper that Cooper, 45, and Garner, 48 “are friends and have been forever,” adding that there is “no truth to anything else.”
Oh well, maybe that’ll change now that they’re both single.
Capitol NashvilleKeith Urban’s brooding latest release, “Change Your Mind,” tells the story of a breakup, and the lingering feeling that maybe it might not be too late to try again.
“You changed your number / And got some friends that I don’t recognize / But I wonder sometimes / Is it too late to try? / If I change, would you change your mind?” Keith muses in the chorus.
It’s the fifth track on Urban’s next studio album, The Speed of Now Part 1. He shared the full track list for the project earlier this week, revealing that the album features 16 songs and three as-yet-unannounced duet partners.
“Change Your Mind” delivers a heavy dose of nostalgia and wondering what might have been, and it’s not the only song on The Speed of Now Part 1 to do so. Other previously-released tunes include the memory-laden “Polaroid” and the wistful “We Were,” a look back at young love that Keith wrote with fellow country star Eric Church.
Keith shared his current single, “God Whispered Your Name,” back in February, heralding the start of his next album single. Also, he first dropped “We Were” as a stand-alone single in 2019. Both songs have become top-10 hits.
(NEW YORK) — Another round of summer storms is getting ready to impact parts of the eastern U.S. Friday as more than one million people are still without power in the region.
This comes after a week that saw Tropical Storm Isaias hit the East Coast, downing thousands of trees and causing widespread wind damage, especially from North Carolina to Connecticut.
Some summer storms caused some flash flooding in parts of Virginia overnight. Those came after storms brought some damaging wind gusts from the Carolinas to New Jersey on Thursday.
Flash flood watches are in effect from Virginia to New Jersey Friday. This alert includes Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia.
The total forecasted rainfall is 1-2 inches, which ordinarily is not incredibly significant, but given the ground is extremely saturated from Isaias, flash flooding can occur rather quickly.
High-resolution forecast models are showing several rounds of storms affecting the region Friday and into early Saturday. Some of these storms could have gusty winds, but the main threat will be flash flooding.
Meanwhile in the West, there is still a fire danger threat this weekend.
ABC/Alex Scott(LOS ANGELES) — A fifth installment of John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves, is in the works.
John Wick fans boosted the most recent go-round, Chapter 3 — Parabellum, to a $326.7 million globally, making a fourth film a no-brainer, but the announcement of a fifth go-round was a surprise.
Deadline reports that Lionsgate confirmed that they hope to film both John Wick 4 and 5 back to back sometime in early 2021.
John Wick 4 currently has a release date set for Memorial Day weekend in 2022, however, a premiere date for John Wick 5 has not been released.
Back in June, stuntman-turned series director Chad Stahelski toldThe Hollywood Reporter, “[A]t some point, when we think Mr. Wick has run his course, I’m sure his demise will be epic, but until then, we’re going to keep doing chapters and just tell the story…”
Abbi Jacobson – ABC/Eric McCandless(LOS ANGELES) — Amazon has announced that a reboot of the beloved 1992 film comedy A League of Their Own will become an hour-long series for the streamer.
Created by Broad City‘s Abbi Jacobson and Mozart in the Jungle‘s Will Graham, the “reinterpretation” of the film centers on the wartime version of America’s pastime: the women who made up the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.
This version “evokes the joyful spirit of Penny Marshall’s beloved classic, while widening the lens to tell the story of an entire generation of women who dreamed of playing professional baseball,” Amazon’s announcement explains. “The show takes a deeper look at race and sexuality, following the journey of a whole new ensemble of characters as they carve their own paths towards the field, both in the League and outside of it.”
Jacobson will star in the show, as well as produce.
Jacobson and Graham explain it took three years to get the project going. “We grew up obsessed with the film, like everyone else,” they say. “With the help of an enormously talented team of collaborators, an amazing cast, and the devoted support of Amazon to this project, we feel beyond lucky and excited to get to bring these characters to life.”
They add, “It took grit, fire, authenticity, wild imagination and a crackling sense of humor for these players to achieve their dreams. We’re hoping to bring audiences a story with all of those qualities.”
The 1992 movie grossed more than 132 million dollars at the box office, and spawned a short-lived TV series of the same name in 1993.
