Sayers’ son Guy Bullard confirmed complications of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease as the cause of death, according The New York Times.

Born in Wichita, Kansas, Sayers played football for the University of Kansas, where he was known as the “Kansas Comet.” He later racked up just under 5,000 rushing yards and 56 touchdowns in his storied seven-year career with the Chicago Bears.

He was a five-time All-pro, four-time Pro Bowler and first ballot Hall of Famer.

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — Hallmark Channel and its parent company, Crown Media Family Network, are delivering on their promise to diversify their holiday movies.

Mean Girls actor Jonathan Bennett will star in The Christmas House, which is about a gay couple looking to adopt their first child, according to Michelle Vicary, executive vice president of programming for Crown Media Family Network.

Bennett’s co-stars include One Tree Hill actor Robert Buckley, Ana Ayora of In the Dark, veteran actor Treat Williams, NYPD Blue star Sharon Lawrence and actor Brad Harder. The Christmas House premieres on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Amid criticism that none of the previously-announced holiday films featured an LGBTQ lead, a Hallmark Channel spokesperson told ABC’s Good Morning America in July that the company was “committed to creating a Hallmark experience where everyone feels welcome” and would be announcing “LGBTQ storylines, characters and actors” in the future.

Last month, Lifetime beat Hallmark to the punch and announced it would be debuting its first-ever Christmas movie featuring an LGBTQ romance.

Trisha Yearwood’s “I’ll Carry You Home” video is a montage of personal childhood home movies

• No Comments • Country Music News

Gwendolyn RecordsTrisha Yearwood showcases the personal meaning behind her heart-tugging new ballad, “I’ll Carry You Home,” in the song’s music video. The clip takes a look back at the singer’s own family home movies from her childhood.

Trisha offers a look into her first few years at home in Georgia, surrounded by her parents, friends and family.

She says her song is a tribute to all of those who’ve lifted her up over the years — even literally, such as when her parents carried her home from the hospital as a newborn.

“For me, it’s very much about the people in my life that have my back, and also my strong spiritual belief that God’s got me, no matter what. I believe that. It’s really like a prayer,” Trisha says of “I’ll Carry You Home.”

“It’s just one of the most beautiful songs that I’ve heard,” she adds.

The new release comes on the heels of Trisha’s performance of “I’ll Carry You Home” at the 2020 ACMs, where she sang during the in memoriam segment honoring of all the country greats we’ve lost in 2020.
