(NEW YORK) — The Washington Football Team will allow about 3,000 season ticket holders to attend its Nov. 8 game against the New York Giants, the team said Friday.

Everyone must wear a mask, use mobile ticketing, follow social distancing rules and pay without cash. Tailgating won’t be allowed, the team said.

The decision was made with “the state of Maryland’s approval and under the supervision of Prince George’s County,” the team said, adding that it’ll continue to re-evaluate fan numbers for future games.

Florida Georgia Line, Nelly have a “Lil Bit” more duet fun with new country and hip-hop crossover

No Comments Country Music News

Columbia RecordsRapper Nelly is no stranger to going country.  He of course famously teamed up with Florida George Line in 2012 for a remix of the country duo’s “Cruise,” which appears on their Here’s to the Good Times album.

Since then, Nelly and FGL have shared stages and tours together.  Now they’re joining forces once again for the release of the rapper’s new banjo-inflected banger, “Lil Bit.”

Speaking to Billboard, Nelly calls the decision to return to work with the guys of FGL a “no brainer,” adding that this song may not be the last fans see of the two acts together in the near future.

“My relationship with them is super tight,” he says. “We’ve done two tours together, we have a bunch of other tours planned, and things that we want to do…they’re family.”

The country-meets-hip-hop tune is a fun and flirty ode to new romance. The song’s lyrics even appear to name-check modern country-rap star Lil Nas X, nodding to his 2019 megahit “Old Town Road” with a line referencing a “new town road.”

Nelly also recently made another country cameo when he sang a verse on Kane Brown‘s “Cool Again” earlier this year.

“Lil Bit” comes off of Nelly’s upcoming EP, Heartland.

James Van Der Beek captures his kids' hilarious reaction to watching his cameo in Kesha's "Blow"

No Comments Entertainment News

Cindy Ord/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Nearly a decade ago, Kesha dropped the colorful and chaotic music video for “Blow,” which featured James Van Der Beek.

The Dawson’s Creek alum on Thursday introduced his two eldest children to the music video, not telling them that he has a rainbow shootout with the “Praying” singer while surrounded by people wearing unicorn heads.

The music video ends with him losing the battle and Kesha mounting his head on a wall.

Of course, Van Der Beek captured Olivia, 10, and eight-year-old Joshua’s wide eyed disbelief and confusion as they watched the wacky four minute music video.

The moment the actor struts on screen, Olivia dramatically rolls her eyes and cringes as she shouts, “Oh my gawwd!”

End of era. Finally found some of my old work that mortifies my daughter,” Van Der Beek cackled triumphantly in the caption, before revealing why he decided to star in the wild music video.

“About ten years ago, coming off a career ebb, I tried out a year of saying ‘yes’ to anything if I hadn’t done it before, and if it sounded like fun,” the Dancing with the Stars alum explained. “It was an antidote to the preciousness that often rides side saddle with success (and almost always steers it off the road).”

“Make fun of the crying meme? Yes! Play a bizarro version of myself on TV? Sign me up,” he continued. “Agree to do a Kesha video where I shoot unicorns who bleed rainbows? Why the hell not?”

While the music video was “shot great – and quite well-received at the time,” his children critically panned the performance.

“I guess you can’t always predict what your kids are going to think ten years down the road. Nor should you even try,” the Teen Choice Award winner snickered.

'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' is giving back to frontline workers

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/John Fleenor(LOS ANGELES) — Who Wants to be a Millionaire is giving back to frontline workers.

The new season of ABC’s long-running game show is not only welcoming essential workers, they are ensuring that they’ll be winners no matter what by giving them a guaranteed $32,000 prize to take home — a gesture that personally resonates with host Jimmy Kimmel.

“I think it’s important to remember, and this is something I learned when I was in the hospital with my son, is that these people are doing this all the time, not just now,” he explained in a short featurette video to Access Hollywood. “And that they work so hard when we need them the most.”

The announcement also moved contestant and firefighter Oliver Fry to tears.

“That’s more than some people make in a year,” he said in the clip. “I could help out people.”

Even with the guaranteed winnings, Kimmel is hoping that he’s be able to hand out the much heftier, life-changing prize of $1 million to someone in the hot seat.

“I have yet to see that happen, it rarely happens, when it does I don’t even know what it must feel like. But I do want to hand that giant check to somebody – preferably a nurse or somebody who’s been driving an ambulance or somebody who really could use it,” he said.

This season of Who Wants to be a Millionaire also features celebrities who will donate winnings to a charity of their choice.

Who Wants to be a Millionaire airs Sundays at 9/8c on ABC.

“If Only”: Ashley McBryde joins Shenandoah for a wistful look back towards simpler times

No Comments Country Music News

Foundry RecordsAshley McBryde is the newest guest star to appear alongside ‘90s hitmaking duo Shenandoah in song, with the release of “If Only.”

It’s a slice of down-home, harmony-laden nostalgia that reaches back toward a simpler past, wondering why things can’t always be that easy. In gentle, easy-going harmony, the three singers reminisce about memories filled with sweet tea, family and simple joys, back when the world seemed to spin a little slower.

Ashley says that this duet marked a chance for her to collaborate with two long-held heroes.

“‘Would you like to sing with Shenandoah on their new record?’ It didn’t even take a whole second for me to say yes,” the “One Night Standards” star recalls. “I’m a true fan of the band and Mr. [Marty] Raybon’s bluegrass stuff, too. I jumped at the chance to sing with him. I love this song…the message is so relevant and needed right now.”

Ashley’s one of a slew of guest stars to sign on for Shenandoah’s new duets album, Every Road. The project also boasts appearances from Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce, Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley and many more.

“If Only” follows two previously released cuts on Every Road: A duet with Zac Brown Band called “I’d Take Another One of Those,” and another with Lady A, titled “Every Time I Look at You.”

Every Road is due out in full on November 13.
