Hilary Duff announces she is pregnant with her third child

No Comments Entertainment News

Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Congratulations are in order for Hilary Duff, who is pregnant with her third child.  The Younger star, alongside husband Matthew Koma shared the good news on Saturday.

“We are growing!!! Mostly me …,” Duff happily captioned the boomerang video of Koma excitedly rubbing her growing stomach.

Of course, the 32-year-old actress’ friends were quick to shower her with their heartfelt excitement.

Mandy Moore, who recently announced that she, too, is expecting a baby, gushed in the comment section, “Yay!! The best news!!! Love you two and can’t wait to be mamas together!”

Other well wishes came from Amanda Kloots, who called the announcement “amazing news,” while singer Meghan Trainor, who is expecting a baby boy next year, called Duff a “beautiful mama!”

However, the most hilarious reaction came from the soon to be dad of two, with Koma deadpanning, “Wow congrats.”

The couple, who will celebrate their first wedding anniversary on December 21, share two-year-old daughter Banks Violet Blair.  Duff is also the mother of eight-year-old Luca Comrie, whom she shares with ex husband Mike Comrie.

The baby news coincided with Bank’s second birthday, with both parents gushing over their soon-to-be middle child.

“My love, my sweet sweet angel girl,” the Disney Channel alum praised on Sunday when posting an emotional slideshow of Banks over the years. “I love you so so so many times and again. Thanks for choosing us!”

As for Koma, he shared a hilarious photo of Banks during potty training and sweetly penned, ” It’s the greatest privilege of my life to be your dad and I’m endlessly proud / in awe of the little human you are, and the big human you’re becoming.”

Neither parent has disclosed Duff’s due date.

Alec Baldwin and Jimmy Carrey reprise their roles, and Maya Rudolph takes on a new one as 'SNL' tackles the final presidential debate

No Comments Entertainment News

NBC(NEW YORK) — This weekend’s Saturday Night Live skewered Thursday’s final presidential debate, with Alec Badwin and Jim Carrey reprising their roles as President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, respectively.

Maya Rudolph also returned, this time as debate moderator Kristen Welker.

Highlights included the president’s assessment of the COVID-19 pandemic: “We’re rounding the corner.  In fact we’ve rounded so many corners we’ve gone all the way around the block and we’re back where we started in March.”

After Baldwin’s promise that if elected “everyone in America will be on a big, beautiful ventilator,” Carey’s Biden described his plan for “Biden Care,” which “may not talk as smooth” and “may need a little bit more sunscreen than the previous melanin-rich plan, but damn it, it’s got heart and it works.”

On the subject of fracking, Carey’s Biden declared, “Oil, no; wind, yes; fracking, depends on what state I’m in.”

“I know more about wind than anyone,” Baldwin shot back.  “It makes golf shots go real bad” and “sometimes it goes into a twister and throws a cow right on top of Helen Hunt.”

Baldwin’s Trump closed with “Just remember how good things used to be back before the China plague…lowest unemployment numbers in all categories: Blacks, Asians, Latinxes, brunettes, MILFs, LGBTQAnon…”

Carrey’s Biden said in rebuttal, “You know who he is, and you know who I am.  I’m good old Joe…I don’t have a golden toilet seat, I have the soft, spongey one that hisses whenever I park my keister.”

Spoofing Rudy Giuliani’s appearance in Borat 2, Kate McKinnon appeared as the former New York City mayor who, after fiddling with his “microphone,” threatened to drop a “truth bomb” about Hunter Biden.

Sara Evans shares a moment with Dolly Parton on "Pink"

No Comments Country Music News

LOWFIELD Even with multiple number ones, as well as CMA and ACM Awards to her credit, Sara Evans is still checking goals off her bucket list. The latest? A collaboration with Dolly Parton

Both Sara and Dolly are featured on “Pink,” alongside Rita WilsonMonica, and Jordan Sparks. Co-written and produced by Victoria Shaw — who wrote “The River” for Garth Brooks — the cross-genre effort aims to raise awareness and money for breast cancer through the Susan G. Komen organization.

“I was so honored to be asked to sing a part on it,” Sara tells ABC Audio. “So I went in the studio and Victoria Shaw was in there with her producer/engineer, and they just kind of directed me on what lines they wanted me to sing on. And when I heard the finished product, I was just absolutely blown away.”

“And also, it’s amazing to be on a song with Dolly Parton, which I’ve never done before…” Sara adds. “It’s a beautiful song.

Sara’s most recent encounter with the legend came almost exactly a year ago.

“My major Dolly moment was this past CMA Awards, when I was a part of the opening with all the females,” she recalls. “And we’re in the green room the day before for rehearsal, and I look over and Dolly Parton is singing ‘Born to Fly’ with me.”

“It was one of those moments where I was like, ‘I really wish my mom was here,'” Sara continues. “And I was texting her the whole time and sending her pictures of Dolly. And she just couldn’t believe it.”

Earlier this year, Sara released both her autobiography, Born to Fly, and her covers album, Copy That. Next month, she stars in A Nashville Christmas Carol on Hallmark.

COVID-19 outbreak at Massachusetts nursing home kills 5, infects 30

(BOSTON) — Five people have died from an outbreak of COVID-19 at a nursing home in Massachusetts, according to officials.

A total of 30 people were infected at the Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelmsford, according to statistics released weekly by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

The outbreak comes after 15 weeks of no positive cases at the nursing home, Sunny Acres administrator Jeff Schwartz wrote on its website. Many of the residents began testing positive in late September.

“Unfortunately, it has proved impossible to keep this rapidly spreading and highly contagious virus out of this center,” Schwartz said.

Several residents have moved past their 14-day isolation period and are now recovering, Schwartz said. The facility has been receiving support from infection control specialists and has been following state and federal COVID-19 guidance.

Meanwhile, one church in North Carolina has been barred from holding services after a week-long convocation drew more than 1,000 people, leading to three deaths.

The convocation held by the United House of Prayer for All People led to a COVID-19 cluster tied to 121 cases in three counties, ABC Charlotte affiliate WSOC reported. Those numbers do not include an additional 127 people who were tested in drive-by facilities on Friday.

The Mecklenburg County Health Department issued an “Abatement of Imminent Hazard” on the church due to the cluster.

“We have taken this action out of an abundance of caution to prevent the COVID-19 virus from further spreading in our community,” Mecklenburg County public health director Gibbie Harris said in a statement. “This type of order is rare, but sometimes necessary. It prevents the church from opening or allowing any further gathering, making sure we stop this outbreak from going any further.”

The order was issued after church leaders announced they still planned to hold large events scheduled for Oct. 25 through Oct. 31, according to WSOC.

All in-person gatherings at United House of Prayer facilities are now canceled until at least Nov. 6, and the church is required to clean and disinfect indoor surfaces.
