Kane Brown's infant daughter is a fan of his music: "It made my day"

No Comments Country Music News

Matt BerinatoThough Kane Brown‘s daughter is still an infant, she’s already a fan of her dad’s music.

Kane reveals that he and his wife, Katelyn, would often play music for 17-month-old daughter Kingsley to help her stop crying, and as she grows older, she’s starting to recognize her father’s songs.

“The other day, we were sitting out by the pool and ‘Be Like That’ came on the radio and she was doing her thing. And then all of a sudden, she turned her head and started walking towards the speaker, so it was just cool to realize she recognized the song,” Kane tells People of Kingsley’s reaction to his hit song featuring Khalid and Swae Lee. “It just made my day.”

In spite of his hectic schedule making music and recently launching his own record label, 1021 Entertainment, Kane credits his daughter for keeping him grounded and teaching him the power of unconditional love.

“Kingsley has completely changed our lives for the better. I know when I get home and I’m exhausted, just holding her makes my day completely better,” he shares, describing her as “laid back” and “super-easy to cheer up.”

“I have learned to be patient, and I’ve also learned that there’s true love,” adds Kane.

Kane and Katelyn welcomed Kingsley in October 2019. She makes an appearance in his video for “Worldwide Beautiful,” which is nominated for Video of the Year at the 2021 ACM Awards.

Miranda Lambert reveals "special moment" that helped ex-husband Blake Shelton heal from losing brother

No Comments Country Music News

ABCIt has been nearly a decade since Miranda Lambert and ex-husband Blake Shelton penned the song “Over You.”  The 2012 hit, says Lambert, was created to help her ex-husband move on from a painful loss.

Speaking with Essentials Radio with Apple Music, the two-time Grammy winner explained that she didn’t know Blake had lost his big brother Richie in a car accident in 1990.  Richie was 24 and Blake was 14.

Lambert, 37, reflected on the day opened up to her about the tragedy and what she did to help him process his grief.

“Dudes don’t open up about things, but he started telling me about the experience of it all. And I was like, ‘Have you ever written about it,'” she recalled asking, saying the “God’s Country” crooner responded with, “My dad just says, ‘You don’t get over it. You just get used to it.'”

The answer didn’t sit right with her because she could tell Shelton was still hurting, so she encouraged, “I was like, ‘Well, could we write it? Do you want to try or is that invasive? I would never try to write your story because I didn’t live it, but maybe I could help because I’m an outside perspective.'”

The two then got to work on “Over You,” which became a massive hit on country radio and won them both ACM and CMA Awards.

“It was really a special moment and I’m so glad we shared that song,” the “Bluebird” singer reflected.  “It helped his family heal, to have that together.”

Shelton and Lambert divorced in 2015 after a four year union, and have since found new love in their lives.

Miranda wed Brendan Mcloughlin in 2019 while Blake is about to marry Gwen Stefani after proposing to her in October.

Jennifer Love Hewitt reflects on answering "gross" questions about her body when she was younger

No Comments Entertainment News

Mathieu Young/ FOX(LOS ANGELES) — I Know What You Did Last Summer star Jennifer Love Hewitt says she now cringes whenever she looks back at her old interviews — not because of what she said, but because of what she was asked.

Speaking with Vulture on Monday, the 42-year-old actress recalled being asked a slew of inappropriate questions about her body when she was younger.

The 9-1-1 star was 22 when her 2001 film Heartbreakers hit theaters, where she played a temptress.  She says when promoting the film, the attention was on her physique and not about the character she played.

“Gosh, I wish that I had known how inappropriate that was so I could have defended myself somehow or just not answered those questions,” she lamented. “I was disappointed that it was all about body stuff, because I had really worked hard in that movie to do a good job as an actress.”

Hewitt adds that she also noticed that her female Heartbreakers co-stars such as Sigourney Weaver and the late Carrie Fisher were not asked such invasive questions, which further vexed her.

“I remember one specific moment wishing that the acting had overshadowed all that — that for five minutes, [interviewers] had said I was really great in the movie versus made a body comment,” said the Ghost Whisperer star.

Now, she’s glad times have changed and such explicit questions are now frowned upon because, “I was really tired of that conversation.”

“Interviewers were asking what now would be incredibly inappropriate, gross things,” said Hewitt, even though she admits that, back then “it didn’t feel that way.”

Now, Hewitt is hoping that a Heartbreakers sequel is in the works, but joked, “I’m in my 40s, so I’m not going to do [Page’s] wardrobe again right now.”
