Luke Bryan pranks Little Big Town's Phillip Sweet

No Comments Country Music News

ABCPranksmas continues at Luke Bryan‘s house, this time the target being his friend and Little Big Townmember, Phillip Sweet

Luke and his wife Caroline hosted Phillip and his wife Rebecca, along with comedian Josh Wolf and his wife Bethany, at their house for dinner. Throughout the meal, Josh keeps excusing himself to use the restroom. “He didn’t sound good in there,” Luke reports after checking on him.

Phillip and Rebecca believed it was the appetizer dish they brought containing horseradish that caused Josh to get sick. “I feel terrible. I’m sorry, we would have never put that out,” Phillip apologizes at the table.

At another point during the gathering, Luke comes charging back into the kitchen asking for a plunger, with he and Phillip later resorting to carrying Josh out of the bathroom, Phillip profusely apologizing all the while.

Once they carry him into the foyer, the group bursts out in laughter, revealing that it was all an elaborate prank, with Josh showing them the mystery concoction he’d been pouring into the toilet for effect.

“I don’t get pranked at my house,” Phillip confesses.

Pranksmas is an annual tradition in which Luke and Caroline prank each other, and their friends and loved ones, during the holiday season.

No Comments Country Music News

Paul De La CerdaOne lucky fan drove away with Granger Smith‘s personal truck in a recent contest hosted by the singer.

Granger selected five finalists from across the U.S. and flew them to his Yee Yee Farm outside of Austin, Texas to compete for his Silverado by determining who could leave their hand on the truck for the longest amount of time. The last person to take their hand off the vehicle was named the winner.

After standing in the cold and inclement weather for 24 hours, Mark from Wisconsin, who was in need of a vehicle for his family, arose the champion, with runner-up Lauren taking Granger’s offer to join him for a weekend on tour in 2021.

“This was one my favorite video projects I’ve ever worked on. Hope y’all enjoy it!” Granger shares alongside the video.

Granger released his 10th studio album, Country Things, in September.

Morena Baccarin calls 'Greenland' a "thrilling ride" "deeply rooted in reality"

Photo credit: Daniel McFadden(NEW YORK) — Deadpool series star Morena Baccarin says it was a “thrilling ride” to star in the new disaster film Greenland.

In the film, Baccarin plays Allison Garrity, a mother and the estranged wife of a structural engineer handpicked by the government to survive the impending global disaster. Baccarin tells ABC Audio that the action-packed drama could have been taken from a page out of 2020.

“I mean the only thing 2020 doesn’t have right now is a comet or asteroid disaster, but there’s still time,” she laughs.

“[But,] I feel like this movie really spoke to me because of its adrenaline pace,” Baccarin continues. “I thought it was a really thrilling ride, but it was so deeply rooted in reality. And what would actually be happening to people if that was going on.”

Unlike other disaster films, Baccarin says Greenland did its best to stray away from the usual tropes like the “sexy scientist in the corner figuring out how to save the world.”

“It was a real family striving to survive and to save each other,” she says. “And I loved the relationship between the three of them — [that] it was complicated, that it was messy, and that a lot of really terrible stuff happened.”

Greenland, also starring Gerard Butler, is now available On Demand.

Meagan Good explains why making 'Monster Hunter' was "one of the best experiences" of her career

No Comments Entertainment News

Credit: Cécile Boko(NEW YORK) — Meagan Good was ready to get into action with her latest film, Monster Hunter.

In the film, which is based on the popular video game series of the same name, Good plays Dash, a veteran Army solider and masterful mechanic who is transported to a monster-filled dimension. Good tells ABC Audio that from the start of the project she knew it was going to be a wild ride.

“It was cool, because from the moment we got there, we got into training,” Meagan shares. “We started learning with our coach and learning different ways to use the weapons.”

“And it was just a really, really cool experience,” she continues. “And I definitely learned a lot and had fun just working out and pushing myself.”

While training for her physical role proved to be an exciting adventure, Good admits there were some real risks by being in the African desert with “spitting cobras” and “spiders.”

“Getting sand bombed every single day was pretty crazy too,” she laughs. “I mean, you take a shower and be ready for the day. By the end of the day, all that sand — it was like in my ears, and my lashes, up my nose. I’d be talking and like gravel would be in my mouth. And it was pretty insane.”

Thankfully, Good says she didn’t let her concerns get the best of her.

“But it was really one of the best experiences I think I’ve had in my career,” she says. “I had so much fun.”

Monster Hunter, also starring Milla Jovovich and Clifford “T.I.” Harris Jr., is now available in select theaters.
