In a post-Christmas photo-op, Luke took to Instagram to share a festive snap with wife Nicole and their multitude of furry friends.
The couple is wearing Miller Lite holiday sweaters and hats, with Luke also throwing on a pair of matching slippers, while Nicole holds their two cats and Luke cradles one of the couple’s chickens in his arms. Rescue pup JoJo sits between them.
“Me and the fam hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!” Luke shares alongside the photos.
Luke and Nicole tied the knot in Florida in August. Luke’s song “Better Together” is a love letter to his wife that’s currently sitting in the top 10 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts.
ABCLuke Bryan‘s top nine moments of 2020 are mainly family-focused, with a few humorous gems mixed in.
Luke is taking part in the Instagram trend showcasing his favorite moments of the year, including a photo of him and wife Caroline in their outlandish mouse and cheese Halloween costumes, and a throwback photo of the couple on their wedding day in honor of their 14th anniversary.
A snap from Luke’s outdoor adventure with sons Bo and Tate and nephew Til also made the cut, along with a news gaffe in which Luke was mistaken for fellow country superstar Blake Shelton.
Luke also included a black square, seemingly in reference to Blackout Tuesday, an initiative in the music industry intended to show support for the Black Lives Matter movement following the death of George Floyd.
“What a wild year. We’re ready for you 2021…I think ha,” the “One Margarita” hit maker captioned the memorable moments.
Luke’s single “Down to One” is climbing the charts, currently sitting at number 15 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
In the film, Jones plays Sully, an expectant mother and astronaut on a mission in space. Jones, who was pregnant during the filming of the project, tells ABC Audio that it was “very cool of Clooney” to not “CGI [out her] bump” out of his film.
“[He] just made it a much more truthful experience to embrace what was actually happening,” she says, noting that Clooney thought it was “much more interesting to embrace [her] pregnancy, and not run away from it.”
“And [to] make it part of the story,” she continues. “And so, that definitely made my life much easier rather than… walking around hoping no one notices that I’m pregnant.”
Oyelowo, who plays Commander Gordon Adewale, a fellow astronaut and Sully’s partner, agrees, adding that both he and Felicity “are testament to George Clooney’s embrace of the people who he invites to work with him.”
“He embraced Felicity’s pregnancy, which was not in the script,” says Oyelowo. “[And] me asking him if I could change my character’s name to a Nigerian name because he was originally Commander Harper, not Commander Adewale.”
Oyelowo says having that representation was extremely important to him.
“I wanted to be able to depict someone of African descent who was being part of that in relation to this film, because I knew how much pride that would fill me with, how much I would have loved to have seen that in films in the past,” he says. “And how much that would speak to Africans and just people of color all over the planet to see that level of contribution depicted in this film.”
Emmy-winner Wayne Brady, Emmy nominee Tituss Burgess and Grammy nominee Adam Lambert — along with Tony winners André De Shields and Priscilla Lopez and Tony nominees Ashley Park and Mary Testa — have signed onto a digital charity staging of Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical.
The original production saw hundreds of people contributing to the viral original project, although some incorrectly referred to the Oscar-winning movie’s central chef rat, which was voiced by Patton Oswalt, as “Ratatouille,” not Remy.
Kimmy Schmidt vet Burgess will play Remy in the virtual event, while Brady will play his father, Django, and Lambert will play Remy’s dim-but-lovable brother, Emile.
Seaview, the producer of Broadway shows including Slave Play and the Jake Gyllenhaal-Tom Sturridge production Sea Wall/A Life, is selling sell tickets to the event, which will benefit The Actors Fund, which has been helping performers struggling during the pandemic.
The online event debuts Friday, January 1 at 7 pm ET, and will stream for 72 hours.
According to the event’s producers, “The one-time performance of Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical will feature content created by members of TikTok’s #RatatouilleMusical Community, whose collective work has earned the engagement of more than 200 million fans around the globe, and will be performed with the 20-piece Broadway Sinfonietta orchestra.”
Taylor Hill/FilmMagicTaylor Swift has been replaced by Brad Paisley on a mural in Nashville.
A portrait of country music legends including Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson and more is situated at Legend’s Corner next to the Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville. The original piece featured Taylor sitting between Johnny and Willie, but she was recently painted over with Brad in her place.
USA Today reports that the swap comes in response to tourists’ complaints about Taylor’s presence on the mural — disgruntled by her transition from country to pop music — prompting the bar’s owners to swap out the megastar with the “Letter to Me” singer.
“I have heard many complaints here in Nashville about Taylor being on the wall with country legends since she is currently focused mainly on pop. Some inebriated bar hoppers have spit on her image specifically, feeling betrayed by her venture from country,” artist Tim Davis says.
“I guess this is to be expected, but by in large, the people of Nashville love her, as do I,” he adds.
Taylor’s removal is not the only change happening to the mural, as Tim has been tasked with adding three new stars to the piece, including a female artist who will be placed in between Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks.
Tim plans to create a mural dedicated solely to Taylor and her vast music legacy and has started a GoFund Me page to cover the costs.
