Ariel Robinson — CREDIT: SIMPSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT(SOUTH CAROLINA) — (NOTE NATURE, CONTENT) Popular Food Network series Worst Cooks in America was rocked by a horrifying situation when its 20th season winner was charged with homicide.  Following the disturbing charges, traces of the entire season have all but disappeared.

Ariel Robinson, who was crowned the latest champion of the competitive cooking series, was arrested and charged last Tuesday for the death of her three-year-old foster daughter, Victoria Rose Smith.

No Comments Country Music News

John Shearer Andy Fickman has been tapped to direct the upcoming country music-themed musical, May We All.

Andy’s previous film directorial credits include She’s the Man, The Game Plan and Race to Witch Mountain. He’s also directed several TV shows such as the Disney series Austin & Ally, Kevin Can Wait and more.

Named after Florida Georgia Line‘s 2016 hit, the musical — written by producer Justin Halliwell and actors Troy Britton Johnson and Todd Johnson — focuses on small-town America through the fictional story of Jenna Coates, an aspiring country music singer who returns to her small town roots after her career fails to take off in Nashville.

The score is composed of songs by generations of country acts ranging from Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash to Shania Twain and The Chicks, along with modern superstars Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves and more.

FGL will also debut two original songs in the musical feature, which is backed by Brian Kelley‘s production company, CuzBro Productions, in partnership with Lively McCabe Entertainment.

Originally slated to take place last November, production on May We All has been moved to sometime this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the goal of staging a commercial residency in Nashville.

Anna Paquin says she's "too boring" to need a PR person like she plays in 'Flack'

No Comments Entertainment News

Amazon Video(NEW YORK) — In the first preview of the show Flack, now streaming on Amazon Prime, Anna Paquin’s character, Robyn, is literally holding the hand of an unseen scandal-plagued celebrity, leading him from shower to bedroom to limo to get him to look halfway presentable for a post-bender award show appearance.

It’s all in a day’s work for her character, and for many so-called flacks whose mission is to keep their famous clients out of the scandal pages.

While its star and producer is herself a famous, Oscar winning celeb, Paquin says a rep possessing such skills would be lost on her.

“Of course, I am exposed to, familiar with that side of the business, but I’m kind of a bit of a nerdy actressy actress, so that has not been my experience of the PR world,” the former True Blood star tells ABC Audio, with a laugh.  “Because I’m just a bit too boring.”

She adds, “I do really enjoy peeling back the curtains on things that people think they know stuff about and showing them how it really works.”

Paquin says she was “so lucky” to get her show’s cast, adding choices like Lydia Wilson, Genevieve Angelson and Sophie Okonedo, who plays her calculating boss Caroline, were automatic. It was like, “There she is! That’s the person,” Paquin enthuses.

Of Okonedo, Anna says, “She’s lovely. She’s delightful… But when she steps into Caroline: zero acting required for many of us gals because she’s terrifying!”

Flack is now streaming on Amazon Prime.

No Comments Entertainment News

ABC/Frank Micelotta(LOS ANGELES) — Could Kelley Flanagan be the next Bachelorette?

A month after her split with with former Bachelor Peter Weber, Flannagan told her followers on Instagram that she’s open to the idea, according to People.

During a “True or False?” game Saturday, a fan posed the question to her and the 28-year-old attorney replied via Instagram story that she would “definitely consider it!”

The couple, who dated for almost a year, each took to social media to announce the unfortunate news that they were going their separate ways. Peter was first to address the breakup in an Instagram post on December 31.

During her “True or False?” game on Saturday, Flannagan told fans that despite the split, she was “content” with her life.

“My mom could tell you stories since I’ve been 2 years old, I’ve just marched to the beat of my own drum and, I mean, when you’re making your own decisions, how could you not be content?” she said.

“Some” of her family members, she added, “were not the most supportive” of her decision to go on the ABC reality dating show, but she knew she would “regret it if she listened to anyone else” besides herself.

The Bachelor airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
