Catherine Zeta-Jones reveals secret behind her 20-year marriage to Michael Douglas

No Comments Entertainment News

Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images for Turner(LOS ANGELES) — Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary and, in a new interview, the actress revealed the secret behind her long-lasting marriage.

Speaking to Wall Street Journal, Zeta-Jones said the number one ingredient to any marriage is laughter.

“First of all, we have a lot of fun together,” the 51-year-old Welsh actress divulged. “We’ve never, ever lost our sense of humor, and we enjoy each other’s company.”

Beyond the two having “constant is love and respect” for one another, added Zeta-Jones, “My husband is 25 years older than me; that’s not a secret. With any relationship, it wouldn’t be normal if there weren’t any ups and downs.”

The Oceans Twelve star admitted she and Douglas don’t have a traditional marriage, explaining, “My husband and I spend a lot of time together because, unlike so many couples, we’ve never had a 9-to-5 job where it’s consistent. We’re either on or we’re off. I’m really working 16 hours a day, or I’m not. He’s doing the same, or not. So we’ve had in our relationship huge amounts of time where we’ve been just us.”

Despite their work schedules, Zeta-Jones says what truly fuels their relationship is the fact that “we respect each other’s space, and our humor is just long-lasting.”

The lovebirds tied the knot on November 18, 2000 and share two children together: Dylan, 20, and Carys, 17.

Michael shares son Cameron Douglas, 42, with ex-wife Diandra Luker.

No Comments Country Music News

Capitol Records Nashville With the success of her new album, My Savior, Carrie Underwood is extending a chart record.

As her first gospel album bows at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, it continues the singer’s record of being the only artist to have their first nine albums debut at the top of the chart since the beginning of their career.

Carrie started the streak after winning season four of American Idol in 2005 with her debut album, Some Hearts, followed by studio albums Carnival Ride (2007), Play On (2009), Blown Away (2012), Storyteller (2015) and Cry Pretty (2018), in addition to her Greatest Hits: Decade #1, released in 2014, and 2020’s debut Christmas album, My Gift.

My Savior also appears in the top five on the Billboard 200 and is at #1 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and Top Current Album Sales chart.

“I feel like there’s not one single time in recording it or doing anything with these songs that after I’m done I haven’t felt like crying happy tears,” Carrie shared about the album during an appearance on CBS Sunday Morning. “It’s a beautiful thing when you know you are loved unconditionally, just as you are.”

Regé-Jean Page comes clean about why he exited 'Bridgerton'

No Comments Entertainment News

Netflix(LONDON) — Fans of Bridgerton are mourning the loss of their Duke of Hastings, played by Regé-Jean Page. Thankfully, those left brokenhearted over Page’s departure finally have closure.

The British-Zimbabwean actor, who burst into the spotlight by playing the brooding and devastatingly handsome duke, has explained why he exited the popular Shondaland series after one  season.

Speaking with Variety, Page revealed the reason he agreed to play Simon in the first place was because the role was shopped to him as a one-season gig.

“It’s a one-season arc. It’s going to have a beginning, middle, end – give us a year,” the 31-year-old actor recalled. “[I thought] ‘That’s interesting,’ because then it felt like a limited series.”

Page added that while his role was indeed memorable, he didn’t want Simon’s arc to overshadow the real stars of the series — the Bridgerton family.

“I get to come in, I get to contribute my bit and then the Bridgerton family rolls on,” he remarked before explaining why he is satisfied with how Simon’s story came to an end.

“One of the things that is different about this [romance] genre is that the audience knows the arc completes,” Page detailed. “They come in knowing that, so you can tie people in emotional knots because they have that reassurance that we’re going to come out and we’re going to have the marriage and the baby.”

Fans learned in Bridgerton‘s first season that Simon was neglected by his father, who only cared about producing a worthy heir to continue the family line.  The duke exacts revenge by swearing upon his father’s death bed that the family line will end with him.

Spoiler alert, after falling in love with Daphne, played by Phoebe Dynevor, he realizes his marriage is more important than revenge.

Kim Kardashian West is officially a billionaire, says 'Forbes'

No Comments Entertainment News

David Livingston/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Well, it might not have been a photo finish, but Kim Kardashian West managed to beat her kid half-sister, Kylie Jenner, to the billion-dollar mark, Forbes reports.

While Kylie’s billion-dollar business worth was announced in a Forbes cover piece in 2018, the magazine delved into her books and found her worth to have been fudged, and later took the designation back

Kim, on the other hand, is the real McCoy, according to the publication.

Forbes estimates that Kardashian West is now worth $1 billion, up from $780 million in October, thanks to two lucrative businesses — KKW Beauty and Skims — as well as cash from reality television and endorsement deals, and a number of smaller investments,” the publication declared Tuesday.

Forbes‘ number crunchers analyzed Kim’s 20% sale of KKW Beauty to cosmetics conglomerate Coty, which netted her $200 million, and noted her remaining 72% stake “is still worth about $500 million, by our count,” reports the magazine.

Kim deftly piloted Skims through the pandemic, going from gut-sucking undergarments for nights out to comfy loungewear more fit for the lockdown era.

While the company hasn’t disclosed its numbers, Forbes estimates Kim’s stake in the company “is worth a conservative $225 million, enough to lift her fortune to $1 billion.”

Kim also has an investment portfolio stocked with blue chip stocks, some of which were gifted by her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kanye West.

As Kim once told Forbes when she made her first cover for the financial magazine, “Not bad for a girl with no talent.”
