SNL's Colin Jost was no help planning his wedding to Scarlett Johansson

No Comments Entertainment News

Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) — Colin Jost is well aware of his strengths and his weaknesses, so when it came to planning his October wedding to Scarlett Johansson, the Saturday Night Live star put her in the driver’s seat.

“I don’t pretend to know much about things or have taste in things. I’m very happy to rely on someone who has a lot better taste and knowledge of things,” Jost tells Entertainment Tonight.  “That’s sort of what I’ve learned in general in my life. I’ve never been like, ‘Oh, should I wear this shirt?’…I never know, so I always would rather someone else tell me.”

Jost says, instead of imagining his dream wedding, he focused on finding his “dream partner.”

Colin, 38, adds that it was a “way bigger decision” to make the 36-year-old Black Widow star his wife than the actual ceremony itself.

“I was much happier about getting [that] right than any of the other,” he explained.

Needless to say, spending their first year of marriage amid the COVID-19 pandemic has tested the strength of their relationship. The union, says Jost, “seems like a good one.”

“If you can make it through this situation, it seems like a very good sign,” he jokes.

Jost and Johansson, who confirmed their engagement in May of 2019, announced the wedding in a post on the Meals on Wheels America Instagram account.

“We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and loved ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC,” a statement on the account read.

South digs out as snow, ice slam East Coast: Latest forecast

No Comments National News

ABC NewsBy MAX GOLEMBO and EMILY SHAPIRO, ABC News

(NEW YORK) — The storm that left parts of the South buried under 15 inches of snow and a shield of ice is now moving into the Northeast.

Little Rock, Arkansas, saw a record 11.8 inches of snow on Wednesday while 6 inches of snow fell in Oklahoma, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.

Galveston, Texas, Mayor Craig Brown told ABC News’ Good Morning America Thursday that the city is still facing burst pipes and power outages.

“Ninety percent of our entire population was cut off of the power for about two days,” Brown said.

He said people are also dealing with lack of food and water.

“The human suffering though that is occurring from this is very, very concerning,” he said.

“This is worse than a hurricane,” he added. “In a hurricane you can go to the mainland and get away from this. In this particular situation, no matter where you go in Texas you still have a concern that is similar to what we have here.”

On Thursday, the heavy snow is moving through the Northeast, from Washington, D.C., to Philadelphia to New York City.

About 100 flights have already been canceled at New York City’s LaGuardia airport.

The snow will reach Boston later in the day and will last in the Northeast cities through Friday morning.

D.C. could see 2 to 4 inches of snow, Philadelphia could get 6 to 8, New York is forecast for 5 to 9 inches and Boston is expected to see 6 to 8 inches.

An icy mix of freezing rain and sleet is expected from Virginia to North Carolina on Thursday and Friday.

From Florida to North Carolina, there’s a possibility of flash flooding and tornadoes.

Here's why Drew Barrymore hasn't gotten plastic surgery

No Comments Entertainment News

ViacomCBS(LOS ANGELES) — A lot of celebrities are no strangers to a little nip and tuck but that’s not the case for Drew Barrymore.

On a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the 45-year-old actress and host revealed why she hasn’t undergone any sort of procedure.

“I’ve never done anything to my face and I would like to try not to,” she said, before adding, “Never say never.”

“The thing that I do care about and I do feel is still relevant to my life is the face,” she continued. “I know myself. I’m a highly addictive person. I do one injection, I’m going to look like Jocelyn Wildenstein by Friday.”

Wildenstein, for the record, is an American socialite known for her extensive cosmetic procedures.

Elaborating on why she made the decision to avoid plastic surgery, Drew shared, “I think because I’m so rebellious that I saw of that pressure and all of those women pressuring themselves to look a certain way and I thought ‘You miserable people.’ I just wanted to never be afraid of what life would do to me.”

“I would love if there was some way that we could let go and give into the ride of life a little bit more,” she added. “We’re gonna age, things are gonna go south and it’s okay. And it’s a part of life.”

(MELBOURNE, Australia) — Serena Williams’ quest to get her record-tying 24th Grand Slam singles title was put on hold Thursday after she was defeated by Naomi Osaka in the semifinals of the Australian Open.

The No. 3-seeded Osaka beat Williams in two sets, 6-3, 6-4. The semifinal contest was the fourth time the two faced off against each other. With Thursday’s win, Osaka now leads 3-1 in their matchups.

Osaka, 23, will now go up against Jennifer Brady, seeded 22nd, in the tournament’s final on Saturday. Brady, 25, advanced after defeating Karolina Muchova 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.

Should Osaka be crowned the champion at Melbourne Park, it would mark her fourth Grand Slam singles title.
