The singer shared on Instagram Monday that she’s tested negative for COVID-19. Her husband, Garth Brooks, announced in late February that Trisha had tested positive for the virus and was diagnosed when she was “on her way out of the tunnel.”

“I got the official news that I am COVID negative. Thank you all for your love, support messages and sweet tweets!” Trisha writes while comparing her “incredible husband” to “Superman,” since he didn’t contract the virus but still took precautions to keep their loved ones safe.

In the interest of spreading good news, the country superstar also unveiled the cover for her new cookbook, Trisha’s Kitchen, that shows her posing in a kitchen by a marble counter adorned with flowers and baked goods.

“Garth said, good news begets good news, let’s share it with the world today and spread the love!” Trisha concludes.

Trisha’s Kitchen will be available on September 28.

After watching Oprah interview, Bethenny Frankel apologizes for flaming Meghan with "Cry me a river" tweet

John Lamparski/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Bethenny Frankel is walking back her criticism of Meghan Markle after she watched Oprah Winfrey’s ratings-grabbing interview with Markle and her husband, Prince Harry.

Prior to watching it, Frankel tweeted regarding the Duchess of Sussex’s plight “Cry me a river…the plight of being a game show host, fairly unknown actress, to suffering in a palace, w tiaras & 7 figure weddings for TWO WHOLE YEARS to being a household name w @Oprah on speed dial, fetching 7 m for interviews, hundreds of millions in media deals….”

Frankel also compared her life as a Real Housewives reality TV star to Markle’s, saying, “I chose reality tv, to work towards making $, to be scrutinized & criticized. I took the trappings & the beatings along with it. It’s a rose w petals & thorns. People beg to enter the often toxic institution I signed up for. That WAS the life I chose. You can’t play stupid & smart.”

Frankel received her share of flame for the shade, but following the interview, she changed her tune. “Emotional distress & racism must feel suffocating & powerless,” she posted Sunday evening.  “I’m a polarizing, unfiltered (often to a fault) flawed person w a voice. When I heard of the interview, during a pandemic, it felt like a surprising choice. I’m sorry if it hurt or offended you.”

No Comments Country Music News

Clive Brunskill/Getty ImagesIn honor of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, Shania Twain is launching the #LetsGoGirls challenge on TikTok.

Soundtracked to her iconic hit, “Man! I Feel Like a Woman,” the challenge calls upon TikTok users to share the most empowering aspects of being a woman by creating a transition, or stitch, reacting to the song’s famous opening line, “Let’s go, girls!”

Shania herself has taken the challenge with a video that shows her attempting to make her bed, but as the classic line plays, she abandons the covers and dances her way out to her oceanfront patio.

“TikTok is a place where everyone has a voice. It is more than a platform, it is a community. Somewhere to celebrate creativity and have fun – so I’m in!” Shania shares. “TikTok and I are spending March supporting all those who ‘feel like a woman,’ so join me loudly when I say ‘Let’s go, girls!’”

Released in 1999, the hit single reached the top five on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and was also a hit on Billboard‘s Hot 100, Adult Top 40 and Adult Contemporary charts. It won a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 2000.

'Nomadland' sound mixer Michael Wolf Snyder dies by suicide at 35 — family blames depression, COVID isolation

No Comments Entertainment News

L-R – Wolf, Zhao, McDormand on set – © 2020 20th Century Studios(NEW YORK) — With Nomadland continuing its winning streak, with a film-leading showing at Sunday night’s Critics Choice Awards following its Golden Globe wins the week previously, comes sad news: the film’s 35-year-old sound mixer, Michael Wolf Snyder, died from suicide.

Cathy Snyder, Michael Snyder’s aunt, posted the news to Facebook, along with a message from the young man’s father and photo of Snyder at work, holding up a boom mic on a movie’s set.

“Bravely shared just now by my brother, David Snyder, MD, in the hope that the truth might help someone else who is suffering with depression and suicidal ideation, especially during this isolating time of Covid,” she posted. “Maybe it can save even one person and urge them to try to reach out in their despair and hopelessness.”

Snyder’s father, a psychiatrist, noted, “Unfortunately, we believe he was gone before getting to see the Golden Globe awards. We will never know what changed in the last month or two, but even his love for his family, as well as his love of film and his movie family, was not enough to conquer his demons.”

Snyder was a frequent collaborator of Nomadland‘s award-winning director Chloe Zhao, who called Snyder her “ears” in statement to Variety, “I will always miss him. He would always be with me on set, after each take, and in the silence of every room tone. See you down the road, my friend.”

The film’s award-winning lead, Frances McDormand, added, “Wolf recorded our heart beats. Our every breath. For me, he is Nomadland.'”
