No Comments Country Music News

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Trisha Yearwood‘s headed back into the kitchen this fall for her fourth cookbook, co-authored by her sister, Beth Yearwood Bernard

Even with three best-selling volumes already to her credit, the esteemed vocalist believes Trisha’s Kitchen: Fast Comfort Food for Friends & Family could potentially be her best effort so far.

“I am maybe more excited about this book than any of the previous three,” she reveals. “Every single recipe in this book is something that I really love to cook and that I really enjoy. And I’m excited for other people to get a chance to try the recipes.”

With a foreword written by her famous husband, Garth BrooksTrisha’s Kitchen still focuses on accessible recipes that are easy to replicate at home.

“It stays in that tradition of not being hard,” Trisha explains. “I don’t like to do anything that’s difficult: basic ingredients, just something that everybody can do.”

“And we’re all cooking more,” she adds, “so here’s gonna be some maybe new things to add to your arsenal of really fun, easy things that you can do at home.”

Included in the collection of 125 recipes are Garth’s Teriyaki Bowl, Trisha’s grandma’s Million Dollar Cupcakes, and Pasta Pizza Snack Mix. You’ll have to wait a bit, however, since Trisha’s Kitchen won’t be out until September 28.

In the meantime, you can catch Trisha’s Southern Kitchen Sundays at 11:30 a.m. ET on Food Network, while Garth and Trisha’s version of “Shallow” is climbing the country chart.

Sharon Osbourne defends Piers Morgan's criticism of Meghan Markle

No Comments Entertainment News

Andrew Eccles/CBS via Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Sharon Osbourne is taking Piers Morgan’s side following his criticism of Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, resulting in his storming off the set of Good Morning Britain on Tuesday.

“I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth,” Osbourne tweeted later that day.

The host of CBS’ The Talk and her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, have been friends with Morgan for years and even opened up to him in an exclusive interview about the legendary rocker’s diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease.

The Good Morning Britain co-host on Tuesday dismissed Meghan’s claims about her own mental health, declaring in part, “I don’t believe a word she says, Meghan Markle.  I wouldn’t believe her if she read me a weather report.”

Morgan, who joined the show in 2015, went on to announce on Tuesday he was leaving Good Morning Britain, of which the British television network ITV confirmed later that day.

Man wanted in connection with 5 murders in 2 states

Gloucester County Prosecutor’s OfficeBy MEREDITH DELISO, ABC News

(EAST GREENWICH, N.J.) —  Authorities said they are seeking a man in connection with five homicides in two states. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Sean Lannon, 47, is wanted for questioning regarding a homicide that occurred Monday in East Greenwich, New Jersey, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office announced in a public bulletin Tuesday.

Lannon is also a person of interest in a quadruple homicide in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in which one of the victims was his ex-wife, authorities said.

Lannon is believed to be driving a 2018 blue Honda CR-V with the New Jersey registration U71JXG, authorities said.

He was possibly last seen in Camden, New Jersey, on Monday at approximately 3 p.m. near the Walter Rand Transportation Center, the prosecutor’s office said.

He is white, 5’9″, weighs around 140-165 pounds, has blue eyes and is bald.

Authorities warned that Lannon should be considered armed and dangerous, and for the public to not approach him. Anonymous tips can be emailed to tips@co.gloucester.nj.us.

More details on the East Greenwich murder were not provided by the prosecutor’s office.

The Albuquerque Police Department confirmed Tuesday that Lannon is also wanted for questioning in a homicide case in which four bodies were discovered Friday at Albuquerque’s international airport.

Lannon was previously married to one of the four victims, Jennifer Lannon, 39, Albuquerque police confirmed to ABC News. Both were from New Jersey and had been living in Grants, about 80 miles west of Albuquerque, police said.

Court records show Sean Lannon filed for divorce in 2018 in Grants District Court.

The other three victims were identified as Jesten Mata, 40; Matthew Miller, 21; and Randal Apostalon, 60.

Both Jennifer Lannon and Mata were previously wanted by the Grants Police Department for questioning last month in the disappearance of Miller, before they were also reported missing.

China re-release could let 'Avatar' unseat 'Avengers: Endgame' for all-time box office crown

No Comments Entertainment News

“Avengers: Endgame” – Marvel Studios(LOS ANGELES) — In 2019, Avengers: Endgame bested Avatar‘s 10-year-old record as the highest-grossing movie of all time — but Avengers‘ high water mark might soon be ranked second to James Cameron’s sci-fi film.

The Marvel Studios film made more than $2.797 billion at the global box office during its run, putting it over the top by around $7 million bucks from the all-time box office champ.

But a surprise announcement that theaters in China will begin re-screening Avatar in both IMAX and 3D starting Friday could make up that deficit and allow it to regain the crown, The Hollywood Reporter explains.

The trade explains Chinese moviegoers have a particular nostalgia for Cameron’s film — which was a massive hit in the Middle Kingdom. Four sequels of Avatar are in various levels of production.

Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox, which produced Avatar, are owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
