Travis Denning tells off "ABBY" in new single

No Comments Country Music News

UMG Nashville Travis Denning has officially released “ABBY” to country radio as his next single.

The fan-favorite track is a clever breakup anthem wherein Travis tells his ex that he does indeed have a new lover, and it’s ABBY — “Any Body But You.”

“Ever since I first heard ‘ABBY’ I felt like it would connect with fans, but I had no idea it would have this crazy anthemic life it’s grown into. It has by far become the most fun song to play live, and hearing people chant ‘A-B-B-Y’ always fires me up,” Travis says. “I’m so excited for it to finally be hitting country radio.”

“ABBY” follows Travis’ chart-topping single “After a Few,” which became his first #1 hit in 2020. It’s featured on his latest EP, Beer’s Better Cold.

The Georgia native is also nominated for New Male Artist of the Year at the 2021 ACM Awards.

Jared Leto reveals the "dark place" he fell into when filming 'The Little Things'

No Comments Entertainment News

Photo courtesy of Warner Bros. Inc. (ROME) — Jared Leto is currently in Rome filming alongside Adam Driver and Lady Gaga for the film House of Gucci.  Speaking to Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday, the 49-year-old actor reflected on his previous roles that put him in “a dark place.”

Leto recently starred in The Little Things, where he plays a serial killing suspect named Albert Sparma. Playing someone who kills, he says, was psychologically and physically demanding.

“You’re spending time in a dark place, and the materials, the research can start to creep into your dreams at some point,” the actor explained. “For anybody, that’s, like, binge watched Making a Murderer, at a certain point you need a break. You need to turn on Tiger King or something.”

Looking ahead, Leto teased his upcoming project, Morbius, which has been pushed to January 21, 2022 because of the pandemic.

However, he ensures fans it’s well worth the wait.

“It’s a brand-new Marvel character who has never been onscreen before, so that was a blast,” he gushed of the victim -turned vampiric anti-hero. “I play a doctor who’s searching for a cure for his disease, who’s very sick and frail and at the end of his life and then he gets strong and healthy, and there’s monstrous aspects to it. That I’m psyched about.”

As for what the actor has on the brain right now, it’s awards season — specifically the Academy Awards and if The Little Things will score a nod.

If not, Leto says he won’t sweat it because the true award was working with fellow Oscar winner Denzel Washington.

“He’s one of the few actors that has really had that consistency, and he really puts his full body and heart and soul into every performance that he does,” he gushed. “So, just the Denzel of it all was enough reward for me.”

'Suits' star Wendell Pierce says his Meghan Markle comments were not an attack on his good "friend"

No Comments Entertainment News

Rodin Eckenroth/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — Wendell Pierce is clarifying his recent comments about his former Suits co-star Meghan Markle after he says they were taken out of context by the U.K. press.

Earlier this week, Pierce made an appearance on Britain’s LBC radio station, where he was asked about Markle’s Oprah Winfrey interview. In response, Pierce brought up the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has claimed over 2.6 million lives worldwide, by way of contrast.

“Today, 3,000 people are going to die in America from COVID,” said Pierce. “A couple of hundred people are going to die, even this hour, in the U.K.” Pierce also described Oprah’s special with Meghan and Harry as “insignificant,” and that being asked about his former co-star’s interview was “quite insensitive and offensive… in the midst of so much death.”

However, in a series of tweets on Tuesday night, Pierce says his comments about Markle’s interview were not intended as an attack.

“I was fortunate to tell Meghan personally I wish her all the best. Predicting this hellacious maelstrom, I also told her she would always have a friend in me,” Pierce wrote. “Because I had no interest in the interview doesn’t change that.

He also added that he was not “insensitive to suicide,” revealing, “Unfortunately my family has suffered the pain of losing someone to suicide.”

“I never was interviewed by the Daily Mail and their story manipulated my words in a radio interview,” Pierce declared. “As I told Meghan, I support her and wish her all the best.”

Instead, Pierce criticized the royal family, suggesting that the horrors his friend detailed were not a surprise.

“The British monarchy is archaic in my American eyes. If slavery, colonialism and apartheid didn’t educate you that they are racist, you failed history,” he wrote.
