Increasing rain and thunderstorm chances begin to increase from the west late Tuesday, with thunderstorm chances expected to continue into this weekend. Strong to severe storms will be possible, with the highest chances of inclement weather expected late Thursday into Thursday night. Cumulative rain chances may lead to a localized flood threat later in the week.
Weather will become more active across South Central Texas later this week, with the best chances of strong to severe thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall on Thursday.
An active weather pattern this week will result in multiple periods of thunderstorms, especially out west towards Del Rio. At times, these thunderstorms may become severe with heavy rain potential as well. Make sure you understand what we mean by “severe” and what actions to take should the forecast call for these various threats.
